  1. Bus across for me as I don't wanna drive and my Chaser needs a service shortly. So the car will sit here at home and have a rest haha.
  2. I have a fully functional combination switch if you decide you need one. :) PM me if thats the case.
  3. Sweet. If you're keen I'll grab you're number via PM and tee it up.
  4. Hey Guys and Girls! Just thought I'd put it out there that I'm heading to Melbourne and arriving next Monday at 6.45am, to then head out to Newport via train and inspect another Toyota Chaser with my mate, as he's looking at a new car to replace his Celsior. If all goes to plan, I shall be there for a few hours while we recover from our overnight bus trip and prepare to drive it back. If anyone is keen to catch up for an early lunch, let me know! Cheers Mick!
  5. Sweet :) Have fun!
  6. Mate is buying it, driving it back if all checks out well, which it should.
  7. I'm heading over Sunday night on the busssssss. Hopefully heading back Monday arvo in another JZX100. ;)

    Spotted

Tally and his killer bumbag walking towards his new KE25 on Henley Beach Road tonight. ;)
  9. Sidchrome/Stanley all come from the same place now these days and are also made in the same factory. I rep a bit of this and a bit of that. Motor Traders did their own brand of tools called CGL Tools, which are really nice to use and come with a lifetime warranty, like most quality tools do these days. I also have a set of CGL screwdrivers, the odd sidchrome/kincrome spanner here and there and a Stanley Socket Set I've had since I was 21. Its hard to keep a set together when you've been messing with cars for the past 11 years and only had my Stanley ratchet die on me after a fair wack of time. Lost a few sockets here and there but never had one break on me.
  10. Got all of the above parts bar the grille. Good luck getting one of those, mine sold for $150. Another common place for rust is under the battery tray. ;)
  11. And I'd sold it to you Ryan on the proviso that it gets restored. If I knew you were going to hack it up, I would've sold it to someone else, true story.
  12. It'll steer............. by using your right foot :P
  13. Pre-nups these days are needed. The majority of women out there are money hungry vultures!
  14. One word "Rarity". I can see you chopping up the panel van and then getting the shits with that too and scrapping it, just like I got the shits with the 25 and decided to part it out. I'd rather see it go to a good home where it will be kept as a panel van, than see you take a gas axe to it and destroy one of the few remaining panel vans left.
  15. The 4 door wagons have 4 doors. Rear doors are effectively a strong skeleton opposed to the two door panel vans where its just one sheet of metal, so strip the rear doors, weld shut, done. THEN you brace it and chop the roof. Check out the Volvo wagons converted to utes. 7 shades can point you in the right direction.
  16. Kent Town Autotune 6 Little Rundle Street Kent Town SA 5067 John - (08) 8362 4906 He's a customer of mine at work and used to operate as SA Carburettor Service. He has well over 30 years in tuning carburettors for performance applications, has his own dyno to do the tuning and is relatively well priced. I'd pick him to tune your carbs over the majority of dyno places that really only know how to tune fuel injected cars correctly.
  17. I think you'd be better off chopping the green machine up as 4 doors are a lot more common and will retain a lot more strength with the rear doors than the 2 door blind panel vans.
  18. Parts are a bitch, thats why I've now decided to part mine out, plus the rust in mine was always going to be an issue. If you have the time and patience, go for it!
  19. You really need some new pictures instead of using my ones ;)
  20. There is a PM system for a reason. I myself don't like replies to my thread as its unfair for everyone else trying to sell something when my thread gets a free bump up to the first page. Mods don't like chitter chatter in sale threads either. Its an advertisement. Back in the days before the internet, there were these things called newspapers and you had to call a number. Same type of situation in a sale thread, just the number has been replaced by a messaging system that should be utiliised accordingly. So you either send a PM, or look elsewhere for whatever part it is you're chasing, no harm done :)
  21. So been a while since I've updated this. My old man and I were making custom underbody tri-braces to stiffen up the front end even more. This is the final product. And late last week this arrived! I finally got the TRD Diff Mount Kit. $350 landed, so wasnt far off and its getting installed on Friday, which will hopefully be under $200 just on the install. I also have to sort out the hissing issue with my stereo when I turn the car on, as I think it has a bad earth, so need to redo that side of things to get rid of it. All in all, almost there. Sway bars next, and then the boot bracing, then I'll think about doing something with the chassis rail bracing if it needs it.
  22. Thats an anti-rattle spring. If you can't get a replacement spring, you may need to get a product called Disc Brake Quiet. Its orange in colour in a small bottle. Apply some of that to the back of the pad when you put it back in so it doesn't rattle around and squeak. The pads are pretty simple to do. If you're stuck, I can guide you in person depending where you are as I have limited fuel at the moment as I'm in Adelaide also. Cheers Mick
  23. The AE71 Corolla Spirit had a factory bootlid lip spoiler. Good luck finding one though!
  24. I used to go on these when my KE25 was on the road. Might get back into it once the diff mount bushes on the Chaser are done :)
  25. 'Shades crashed at my place on the AJD weekend. Should've come down to Glenelg and introduced yourself TommyGunn!
