  1. Yes yes yes, those rims are looking good :y:!
  2. That lip looks great, I was planning to get a Golf GTI mk1 lip but this looks waaaay better!
  3. Daamn, Looks like this one is gonna be a killer. Don't really like The new door cards, not my style but everything else is looking tight. How are you going to lower it? The RA lip looks great to! Grtz
  4. That's a nice project, sad about the rust but that's what you can expect with old toyota's :y:. Color advise is always hard to say, different people, different choices... Have you got chrome bumpers or black ones, On chrome everything looks good on such a car. Black bumpers make it more difficult, with black's I would go for a lighter colour to give it some contrast. Keep us updated!
  5. Yes I found those yesterday to but I'm thinking of combining it with another product of this seller so I'm waiting for a moment, Thx! Haha! Fine by me, I can't insure you that it will still be as good when it arrives Yeah I know but it doesn't snow here a lot so I couldnt control myself doing some donuts on that parkinglot. But you are right, it's impossible to keep the car rust-free, it also always outside with a car-cover.. We are going to build a carport but I have to much work for school etc... Handbrake cover is original, or do yyou mean the cover for the gearlever? That's from a toyota starlet and adjusted. That old rubber was totally broken and when I drove true mud I got it all up in my face :y: That's correct :y:. What do you mean by foam pull handles? Thx for the replies!
  6. After spending (to) much time on this board I thought it was time to open my own topic. Just to know what you guys think about my ride and give me some advise. My name is Jonas, I'm from Oudenaarde Belgium. I've been a Toyota-enthousiast for whole my life and since last year I have my own Corolla. I'm now studying my first year of carmechanics (it's a 3 year course) and I'm learning a lot from it. This is how i bought the car: Interior: Temporary sound system (for a day :P ): New Stereo (2 old speakers in the back just the have some music. I don't want the car to falling appart through bass ;) ) Painted the wheels as a temporary solution. They are now fitted with new tyres and I'm going to respray the centre and polish the edge: Rusty sh*t: Fixed the rusty spots: I had just washed the car so the drups you are seeing are just wather, not paint To bad didn't put more effort in getting the rust away, after 6 months it all starts coming back... And worse! Picture of today in the snow: Photoshop lowered and stripes: As for now I'm really not satisfied with the way she is running', With the cold weather the engine doesn't run like it should be. Plans: - Lower the car (lowering blocks at the back and try to lower the front woth a combination of mines and ta22 springs. Don't know how to explain but someone told that this could work) - Clean up under the hood and give it a close look together with someone who knows more about it than me - Polish the wheels - Clean up the trunk and make it look good - Install the new bootseal - Find some new door pulls - Install a second mirror on the passenger-door - Get away from al the rust! But this time with more care and time - Maybe striping like the picture above In the future: An engine swap, i would like to install a 2T-B as a 2T-G is to hard to find and to expensive and my uncle has a 2T-B that I can buy. But for now I'll start with all the other things ;-) Updates to come in februari as I am now studying for big tests (well actually I'm searching thru the board the whole time :( ) Tell me what you think, all information is welcome! Grtzzz
  7. It may sound funny but I really don't think they've been on the market here. I've only found one for sale (quick look) in belgium . thanks for the links. I'm going to look if this would work: I'll let you guys know if it's working but i won't be for this week, kinda busy (Going to the presentation of the new Lexus IS-F saturday :lolcry: ) Thx
  8. Thx! I'll go and have a peak in my uncle's garage. He'll probably have some springs. I'll keep you guys updated
  9. Ok thx, I'll compare my struts to the ones of a TA22. But I don't think they are the same Cuting in struts isn't really my favourite. I guess it's the most cheapest but I don't want my car to wobble like a six-flags rollercoaster Yes you can buy them here but not much, I guess they are all imported
  10. Ow I forgot to mention that, I don't want to cut in my original springs. I'm intending to keep them so if I want i could put the car back in it's full original glory. Then my question is where I would find those springs because I haven't seen lowering springs for a KE30. I guess I should look for something from another car that will also fit. I've read about this in another topic but I don't really know what struts are... I guess eveything from a TA22 is easy to find for me because my uncle drives one and has tonnes of parts for it... Thx so far for the comments!
  11. Hi everybody, I'll start off with a little introduction. My name is Jonas and I'm from Oudenaarde, Belgium. I'm 18 years and a half and I'm the proud owner of a 79' KE30 corolla. I just finished al the little things that needs to be done and now I'm moving on to the next step... Suspension! As you can see here: http://forum.toyotaclub.be/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2560&st=0&sk=t&sd=a The car still runs on stock springs. I know it's dutch but the pictures speek for itself I guess. Now I don't think the back will be a problem. That's something that i can make by myself but the front is giving me a hard time. Nobody that in my area seems to knwo how to lower the front on an easy way. I would like it to drop 2/3 inches without spending lots of cash. As you can probably see I want te keep it low-budget for now because I'm a student and have to work for everything I buy during the weekends. I'm starting of a new topic because I'm having a hard time understanding al the terms you guys use. I don't always knwo what you mean so please forgive me if I ask lots of questions :lolcry:. To make a it short: I need low-budget Ideas to lower the front end of my car
