Who Has Done A Mechanic Apprenticeship?
Sam_Red_Rolla replied to rjenman's topic in Automotive Discussion
I'm a 3rd year apprentice for one of the Porsche dealers in Sydney. yes the hours are long the pay is ordinary, but if u love it why not. one thing i can say. working 7:30am-5:30pm on other ppls cars , last thing u want to do on weekends is go anywhere near your car. thats my opinion anyway. as for the tools anyone heard of hazet? quality is 10 times better than Snap On, roughly the same price. real german quality! -
Hey all, I'm Sam I tripped up across this forums a while back but didnt join coz it was manily KE based, but here I am now, I work for one of sydneys biggest prestige car dealers in parramatta and I have an AE93 SX with standard 4A-GE. EDIT: looks like a high quality forum, hope to share my knowledge and learn from all for you as well. and hope to make the sydney side more popular, with plenty of social event for sydney siders.

thanks dave. funny thing. i had the car on display at autosalon and this guy approached me and it turned out he painted the car 3 years ago! he identified the colour, and the way the spoiler seals are done.
-
how about 4AGE without the EFI? carbie 4AG or 4AGC? don't know my carbies well but when i first got my AE82 Twin cam my boss tried to convince me to do it, reckoned the EFi restricted it.
-
agreed. those were off my ae82, and i just wanted a chance from those massive chromes. its not that i didnt mind the chromes they are just too common and were a bit too "out there" for my liking. thanks for the comments guys
