  9. YAY!!!! finally someone has got it...thats correct its a measurement of tractive effort as such, and can not be converted to Newton meters :P although I do like the path that you took with the big macs etc  I might have to look into making a new one.........but does that mean I have to have a facts sheet plastered to the back of my car for thsoe who are watching what they eat ? :P Grimwolge - my bad yes you did  ...... * hands skippy badge to grim instead
  10. Ruts has got it...its the ICB tunnel near the hospital :P well done yes jason thats right...cause I'm not sure of the conversion of N to Nm as they are 2 different units and actually 2 different forces :D
  11. yeah but i donnu what it would be..... :P hence leaving it as N...when i find out ill do another one....but the pic is nice.....can anyone from brisbane guess as to where it might have been taken???
  12. lmao @ u guys if i had an actualt Nm or ftlb reaing from a dyno i would use that...but i don't :P the only thin i have on my graphs are AFR HP and N :D

  19. Yes being so new it is an issue ...hence why I pull my hair out trying to source new items for my car and or community. hope all goes well with the car warwick. PLEASE keep me posted. oh and let your mate know that an oil pump upgrade is worth while investment if running hard all day everyday :)
  20. yup very quick little things :) the only thing that really does let them down is the amount of chassis twist. once you fix that though they are weapons on the track :D I have taken mine to mt cotton and gympie a few times and had a hell of alot of fun on the skidpans
  21. That could be the difference ours is the SA built car..... :) bringing the 'lift' in earlier has always been a consideration for celica and anyone else who runs the 2zz for that matter, but after looking around the net it seems that the more desirable option is to make the power band greater by extending the full rev range (out to 8500/8600) as the enigine was originally made to do. so peak power would be from 6200 til 8600. or the other option which is what lotus have done is make it so that the power band is longer on deceleration only, so instead of lift disenguaging at 6200 RPM it will stay enguaged untill 5800 RPM in 1st & 2nd gear, 6000 for 3rd & 4th and finally 6200 for 5th and 6th
  22. I bought my Corolla because it was different. I was geting tired of the gas guzzling v8/v6's I was used to and decided to go for a little hot hatch. I looked at alot of cars and almost bought the Focus ST170 untill I spotted the new Corolla sportivos in the showroom. Took one for a drive and fell in love with it. For 28,000 cash I got a corolla with full auto everything, all leather interior, good looks and IT WENT LIKE THE CLAPPERS!!!! and there wasnt too many on the roads. Now days its a bit different there are more and more appearing on the streets. I think the word has gotten out about these little rockets :D I love the fact that people think its a riced up corolla putting out 100kW ..................... then seeing it go down the drag strip in 14.XX sec (without a turbo) :)
  23. thought it was you warwick :) So how do the engines go running under the motec? I would love to have a motec running my little rocket :D any chance of getting some of that info? how difficult was it with the VVT-i and the mappings??? Its not the box that causes the issues its the surrounding clutch etc. Are the runx/allex that you driving assembled in south africa or japan???
  24. rev - had a look at the page :D the 2zz in a 480kG car would be nice :D ITs still using stock internals though for only 200hp arnt they? I just contacted a US based company for info on some of their brass busshes and other fittings to help the feel of the shift in the car as this is one area that has given the sportivo owners alot of grief :)
  25. is this warwick??? :D Oh well I'm wiser now for knowing that :) too little too late....already payed for his house rennovations :D
