  1. Paint that exhaust! Looks unsightly with all the stickers on it :P Are you going to need some new bars now to make the seating position comfortable? or is it little enough that you don't have to lean forward too much now? Definitely changed since you first picked the thing up! quick build is an understatement!
  2. http://conspiracies.skepticproject.com/articles/zeitgeist/part-one/ finally some sense. New favourite website.
  3. commodore airboxes are suprisingly useful for this sort of thing. I used a VS airbox in an AE92 SX that I threw together for my father in law. Fit perfectly, just a good size and shape ohhh, and do the happy dance!
  4. Pick a style and stick to it, if that fits with the style you want for the overall finished product, then go for it! original NES and SNES systems and parts are getting pretty $$$$$ these days, so might pay not to mangle one lol
  5. Could always use the legomans heads :D
  6. what sort of acceleration does it have? I'm guessing its not exactly "pull out into little gap in traffic" fast?
  7. you could totally poo and shower at the same time...
  8. Nice! reasonably rare too really. Like 67Rolla-Ken said above, having it near-complete is half the battle with any project, so you're winning there already.
  9. its actually so much smaller than it looks in the pictures. I'm really shocked. They look giant in the pics.
  10. Depending on your class regs, losing weight can be pretty easy. Cage material can make a big difference (cromol versus cold drawn) Pulling up all the sound deadening from the thing helps, scraping all the stone guard from under the car too. Then you look at other things like bar reos, non-structural supports etc etc, start with a set of holesaws and just go to town. Its a bit easier/lenient with the speedway regs, but same thing applies to you guys, anything non essential goes in the bin or gets a hole drilled in it. What are the regulations on door internals? Can you fit fixed lexan windows to the rear? that sort of thinking shaves a heap of weight.
  11. haha, that would have been me. probably talking about hilux/volvo caliper upgrades for the torana
  12. this and the moke are basically made for each other. lol. both bizare, head turning and completely random. haha. I think this thing needs a bigger motor though. More fasts would make it 100x cooler! :lovin:
  13. lol. fake intercooler (interfooler!) and the brembo stickers are pricelss lol
  14. Thats a good effort with the PS resovoir! Manual rack conversion and some weetbix would fix that right up :P
  15. PM me which forum? lol
  16. generally wont find too many cops who know what they are looking for to ping you for the PITA stuff. They'll grab you on things like too small indicators, poorly placed number plates and point at your shiny yoshi and go "thats illegal" Past that, (well atleast in NSW) they seem to be oblivious to frame stretched, modified suspension, custom forks etc etc.
  17. anyone been there?? any toranas?
  18. from memory, any sort of composite panel will cause you dramas with rego and insurance.
  19. I've found the secret to drinking waaay too much and no hangovers. Water. I used to get the worst hangovers, I couldnt get so much as mildly drunk without having a throwup room spinning fest the next day. About 5 years ago I remembered reading somethign about hangovers coming from severe dehydration and the body's inability to process the toxins (alchohol) out of the system due to a lack of water (osmosis only works when there is enough water about to fuel it, so your kidneys don't play ball if you are dehydrated) So I regulate every 2 or 3 beers/CC and drys with a big glass of water. You're already pissing like a faucet, so it doesnt make much difference to loo time. I always have 2 big glasses and soem panadol before hitting the sack when I get home (usually administered by the missus as I'm too drunk...) Havent had a hangover since, and that includes some pretty massive nights and running on little sleep the next day. WGMG: the weekend being too bloody short. Heres to 4 days off this weekend :D but then WGMG is double bloody demerits on thursday
  20. No matter how many times you see a moke, they never look like they should be road legal hahaha. just looks like they got halfway through designing the thing and all went home for tea, came back the next day and moved on to something else. lol. Part of the appeal I spose, what are the seats like to ride in? looks like theyd get a bit uncomfy after a while
  21. <3 bobber and cafe racers. keen to see where you take it. I can't let myself get a bike licence, I just have no self control when it comes to doing silly things sometimes....
  22. Old man is pouring his new shed slab on Monday, so he'll have to wait a week or two before he starts building, so he has some free time
  23. you still want some exhaust work done on this thing?
