Not a massive rotor fan, but can appreciate the numbers and that much power in something as little as a KE10 is just dirty dirty fun. Who built the motor/s? what size slick are you running under the bum?

you are the load your mother should have swallowed, honestly. I stumbled on rollaclub looking for smallport cam durations and looking at what ran with the standard ECU... I thought hey! might hang around and check out what goes on, the people seem like they are decent.... well.... all except you. I voted I don't give a shit, because, honestly I don't, its been entertaining sitting her punting away on the keyboard and laughing at you with a few guys in the office today. Good luck with your poll, I'm guessing most will vote the "i don't give a shit" route aswell. what does it really matter? can't handle having someone around who might challenge the things you "know"?

god, you do have a small wang don't you.

B52s, imported from europe somewhere by a bloke I know , massive caffeine hit! haha, taste good too. The makers of high roller energy drink are being sued at the moment because they (alledgedly) stole the recipe! Karlie (my missus) can't drink more then half a can of most energy drinks or she gets weird heart palpitations and starts to get "woozey" I only grab one when I'm heading out drinking and need a pick me up to keep me from falling asleep or on long trips where you need that extra bit of awareness.

Computer mechanics..... Sometimes the best bet is to resort to the ways of old with actually checking parts and swapping things out unitl you can isolate the problem instead of just deciding to throw a scan tool on or check the diag. codes and hope that tells you what to do... Where was the dizzy cracked? From what I read, it seems you thought the initial stalling problem was fixed by cleaning the throttle body, but the car was still dying in higher revs? What sort of revs were you pulling before it started to miss? was it a missfire? or did it just seem like it had no more to give? could be the spark starting to break down over a certain RPM, but that wouldnt explain the other issues. Is the car modified at all engine wise? Never had any other issues? Its definitely eletrical IMO, but as others have said, its always hard to diagnose what exactly is the problem. I wouldnt take it to a dealership, most of the time they will just plug it into a computer and then stand and scratch their head when it doesnt tell them what to do. If you hadnt already resorted to the autolek then I would suggest grabbing some bits from a freinds sportivo and trying them bit by bit to see what might solve the problem (if you knew someone with one of course) Good luck with it, having a consitent pain in the arse problem is always.. well a royal pain in the arse.

The twin towers may have been built to take multiple impacts (not sure on that, but will take your word for the sake of discussion) BUT there were serious flaws with the metal work, and heat proofing of the sub structure. There were flaws in the building practices aswell, nothing is perfect, and nothing is ever built 100% foolproof. Once one section let go, it was like Jenga, the base couldnt take the impact of half the building shifting ontop of the other half, IMO it seems like simple physics. There will always be people who doubt the governments and people who doubt everything they hear or read, but to be honest, If you take these sort of docos as truth, then you will be paranoid for the rest of your life. Half of these documentaries do nothing but show one side of the story, they don't look at things from a subjective point of view and they use carefully chosen facts to back it up and make it seem real, the documentary medium makes it more realistic and more believable. Take this for example. I could say that rollaclub has only green KE model corollas featured. Now we know thats not right. there are many members with different models and different coloured cars, BUT by selectively showing 4 or 5 green KE corollas and omitting anything else from here, to someone who has no first hand evidence, that may seem plausible. I could then say that due to time constraints I couldnt show anymore corollas. and so it goes on. They present their argument, they interpret secondary sources, and they put forward an opinion as fact relying on people having no in depth first hand knowledge of the subject and preying on underlying social fears (eg. "the govt is out to get us" type things) Take it onboard, by all means investigate it, but NEVER take anything as fact just because it is presented in a documentary, remember that they are all made by some bloke with an opinion and an underlying motive. and for the sake of discussion, I don't believe in "god" but I do believe in a higher power, I'm a man of science, but there are still somethings that can't be explained (eg. what provided the initial burst of energy that caused the chain of events known as the big bang?) I just don't believe we can name or worship that higher power, its there, but it has absolutely nothing to do with our day to day living. I understand why people need religion, people need something to hold on to, they need to find strength in the fact they believe we all go somewhere after we die, they need to think their loved ones are somewhere better once they pass away. I don't blame them, religion helps people deal with the attrocities around us (although religion is 90% the cause IMO)

Thats pretty strange actually... Will have to watch out next time we go fishing to see if anything strange comes up like that, I must admit, after fishing for years you just get used to looking at one thing or the other and throwing them back, I never think to have a good hard look. Do you catch many like that down your way? or is that a one off?

Cyclists shit me to tears, don't give me the "we have every right to be there" thing. you might have the legal right to be there, you have the right to take up a lane, BUT if you want the rights of a car or motor bike, then ACT LIKE IT! I see so many cyclists ride through red lights, overtake at the lights, not stop at pedestrian lights or crossings and generally act like pains in the arse. Like the pack of cyclists that killed an old guy in melbourne last year, they decided that they were "rolling" through a red in their pack of 50 riders, it was red for an elderly bloke to cross the road, he died. smart hey. He was a pedestrian, they were acting as vehicles. THEY broke the law, but due to the fact there were so many, and that they arent classed as motor vehicles in accidents, no one was charged. A flipside event too, The blokes that were hit riding on the M7 yesterday. There is a dedicated cycle way that they spent millions making, that follows the M7, its lit, its all concrete and best part? there is no cars! but they choose to ride on the road and they accept the risk, the blokes were riding on the edge line (they were riding 2 wide in the cycle lane with another woman.) wouldnt take much movement in a passing truck to collect them, thats what happened. The thing I really don't get is, People in cars have to give way to cyclists, but cyclists never give way to cars? I know there are some that follow the rules, but the majority I have encountered DO NOT.

Go get a blue slip, that will show the new engine number, then just take that to the RTA and give them you moula, and they will print you a new rego label from memory.

Thats always a shitty position to be in. I will say this though, secrets, no matter how big, never go down well in family situations. Someone always gets hurt in the end. She should really just get it checked and then decide on what she is going to do about telling everyone. But i suppose it depends on how big your immediate family is, how close you guys are, the relationships etc etc. -

ouch. I'm fairly lucky in my family, a bit of glaucoma, flat feet and bad backs, thats about all we have flying around. My partners side of the family has a bit of diabetes, but not much else. -

haha, it wont be enough to support the both of us! so no stopping working. If I end up going through with my latest idea for a career, I should be on about 50k a year to start, and in a couple years, if the business picks up then it should reach about 70k a year. nothing major, but enough. At the moment we are both on "average" money, but we are both only 20. So anyone who has worked for a major company, knows they pay as little as they can (I'm on a bit more because I bitched and moaned) but yeah, age scaling of wages is a crock of shit, I'm out 10k a year because I'm not 21 yet! haha. -
yup, take it in a bitch and moan about it, don't let them have the fine as they can fix the problem then, If it comes down to it, lots of people get off offences due to technicalities, just depends how serious they think you are about contesting it.

Which Members Here Have Ae-92 Model Rolla ??
orangeLJ replied to toycsi's topic in Automotive Discussion
I "have one" but it belongs to my partner, (its mine for all intensive purposes! hahah, I built it, I work on it and we just bought a house together, so the "whats mine is yours and yours is mine" thing comes into effect a bit! haha.) -
I worked at maccas for 5 years! haha, I still eat it, even knowing some of themessed up stuff that we used to get up to.

button clutches are ridiculous for street use IMO. But remember this, the heavier duty you go with the clutch, the more abuse you are likely to give it and the breaking point just moves.... So instead of needing to replace clutches, the box is going to wear quicker.. Exedy heavy duty would be the only "upgrade" i would be thinking about for a standard car.

haha, I did double quadstacks last september, they arent actually that big...

one of those resides quitely, next to my 4 door in the shed! haha. I think the corolla scrubbed up pretty well! first time we have had some decent photos of it.

I had my tonsils taken out in 2007, was in hospital for 3 days, wasnt much fun! haha. I kept trying to steal packs of biscuits from the nurses, but they kept catching me! i was sick of shitting through the eye of a needle, because all i had eaten was iceblocks and soups and stuff. Good luck with it.

I was due to go for my Ps just before the new laws regarding restrictions came in to effect in NSW, they were failing 90% of young males going for their licences. The first time I went, the bloke failed me for having to lock up to avoid a dickhead that had just ran out infront of my car (about 10metres infront of me!) in the main street doing 50kays an hour, If I hadnt realised, and he hadnt been running, he would have been on my bonnet... He cited that and the fact I was too cautious when turning right at a traffic light intersection (turning across traffic, speed limit of the cars coming towards me dropped just before the lights, and hey! I was nervous as hell! haha) so that was money to the govt... booked again one week before the new laws..... want to know what he failed me on?? TOO CONFIDENT the asshole stood there and told me I was too confident with my driving and all the manouvres and I needed to fail a few times to bring me down to earth to stop me being an overconfident driver.... told me my driving was excellent, didnt do anything wrong, it was just his discretion....... I swiftly told him to stick his test up his arse and walked off, my old man then proceeded to abuse the prick about the fact he had failed me because of the new laws and rah rah rah. next test was booked after the laws came in (had to wait a week before going for them again) passed with flying colours, the younger bird doing the test said I was one of the best drivers she had tested in the 5 years she had been doing it... and even admitted they were failing everyone in the leadup to the laws.... lovely hey!

I still use a 9" grinder, but there is a right and a wrong way to go about it. -
At the end of the day though, you are doing something wrong by driving a car that doesnt meet the set regulations. You take a risk when doing so hell I could probably be pinged for things on my torana, but I take that risk, and accept the fact that if they legitimately defect something on my car, then its my own fault for either being in the wrong place with my car, doing something wrong, or the simple fact that I knew something was not legal on the car (come to think of it, there isnt a whole lot they could actually get me for, but on my Ps there would have been a whole lot of problems) I used to get pulled up in my old VR all the time. Why? because it was low, loud, I was on P plates and I hung around the areas known for alot of dickheads. The amount of times the coppers tried to find cut springs, or worn shocks or bald tyres, or anything really, was hilarious. They never found ANYTHING to defect me on, and when they tried for things like seatbelts not retracting, I had the seatbelt paragraph from the registration station handbook photocopied in my glovebox (they got my brother for that once, so we started to become prepared!) Its all about your attitude and how you go about it, do the wrong thing, expect to get pinged eventually. I lost my licence last year for 3 different offences, it wasnt much fun being taxid everywhere by my missus, and I don't plan to lose it again in the near future! (have 12 points now though!)
