Engine- Yella Terra roller rockers (easily the best thing ever for an ecotec!) MSD ignition leads (custom made. i.e. bought a kit and made right lengths to suit) Pacemaker extractors High flow metal cat 2.5" exhaust, all chamberless mufflers (NOT DRONEY! has a different note to most) from memory its got a K&N filter in the airbox too, but not 100% sure Still running the standard clutch, hasn't slipped and hasn't been abused. Wheels- 18x8 BBS forged alloy wheels (genuine!) 235/40/18 tyres (near new all round) Suspension- Lowered on Lovells SL springs, can fit REALLY low rear springs if its what you want. 2. DSM ignition modules are my favourite. inside a procomp/DSM/knock off ignition module (supposed to be a 6AL competitor) inside a real 6AL
  3. Just to clarify, you bought a hand tube bender?
  4. yup, chain drive makes them in the same class as unregistered uninsured "motor bike" Can also get you for riding on the footpath etc etc. I used to run a chain drive setup on a pushy as a kid, I may have gone too far with a Jay kart engine at one stage though....... (made it ʞ©$ɟed to ride, used to have to lean all the way over the one side to fix the weight balance.... plus it just did burnouts all the time, that lasted a couple hours) The only "legal" method of motorising a bike or scooter (and this is going back YEARS and in NSW) was to run a "friction drive" setup (the old bicycle peg against the tyre with a spring tensioner)
  5. You have to question someones logic when they lock away what is/was, realisitically, not ever going to be a big dollar car. I mean, its cool, but seriously? he couldnt think of something more investment worthy to lock away?
  6. I think we call them townhouses in Australia :P
  7. There isnt a heap of call for post VR boss kits as it's illegal to fit an aftermarket steering wheel. VR (optional) and VS saw the introduction of the drivers airbag in the steering wheel, so removing an airbag wheel and fitting a fixed, aftermarket wheel is a no-no in the govt eyes.
  8. SA/VIC seem to be the storage place for anything old! Old holdens/fords/toyota stuff all seems to be down that way!
  9. Less pipework, less mufflers = less weight :) I run a sidepipe on the purple track torana behind the passengers door and the rear wheel arch (2 door LJ) make sure you have a fixed loop to catch the outlet pipe if any of your bracketry under the car fails (Mine sits just in past the sill, welded to the floorpan) Also, make sure you extend the outlet past the edge of the sill slightly, otherwise all you will end up with is black spatter and soot all over your sill. Put a decent muffler on it and you wont have too many troubles.
  10. II'm just questioning if thats the driver... or his boyfriend leaning in the window with the homo-style clothing? She farked mayte!
  11. I always love to see people jump on the "I drive perfectly" bandwagon.... Everyone speeds, everyone has tailgated, got frustrated at people driving under or just on the speedlimit etc etc. No one is perfect and no one is innocent. When some wally is cruising along at 5 under the speedlimit on a decent stretch of road, it pisses people off. The society we live in has taught us that things need to happen as quickly and efficiently as possible. Is it logical? nope. Do I agree with it? Nope. But at the end of the day, blaming the wally that overtook you for "endagering your family" is like blaming the guy you picked a fight with for punching you in the nose... You know that your driving behaviours, no matter how legal or how correct, are going to cause people to get frustrated behind you. You obviously know that the outcome of that frustration is silly, dangerous driving that endagers other peoples lives (although I think that whole line is thrown around alot for situations that, while potentially harmful, would result in minor injuries) So put your good logic to use, remove yourself from the dangerous situation (pull over or speed up) I'm not saying its a good thing that you should have to, people drive like twats. The definition of insanity.... doing the same thing and expecting a different result. You are the only real variable that you can modify/control. The general populus is not. Their driving skill and IQ are an unlimited variable.... *god help anyone that does bang on the speed limit on the F3 in peak hour in the right lane.....
  12. I'd be pulling or at the very least, disabling the airbag system too. Is there a limit to what you can pull out? Aircon would be the first to go for me, all the lines, switches, condensor, evap unit etc etc. lots of weight there!
  13. central coast, NSW (hour north of sydney) so whats there? Air tank, bags and controls? just no compressor? I have friends all over Victoria, so getting them from you isnt a massive drama, shoot me through some pictures and what you want for it all.
  14. yup, buick V6.
  15. DMAX DMAX DMAX DMAX! (I'm a little biased... we sell them... haha) New dmax is due in July and it's a VERY good looking and performing vehicle.
  16. hmmmmmm I need a set of airbags for an upcomming project...
  17. the term "taking the piss" tends to come to mind?

  19. totally functional.... :/
  20. You're one game bloke doing that with no cage!
  21. Welcome to modified cars in general I say. As soon as you start playing with things, especially after numerous other people have attempted it on that car, you'll always have greif, its like a middle aged hooker, she's seen so many guys that want to ʞ©$ɟ with her, that after a while things just don't look or work like they should... lol
  22. are you saying you missus is a dog with a box? lol
  23. I'm with Ben, I'm heavily agnostic, I refuse to believe that any one religion can be 100% right or 100% valid. I DO believe there is "some" form of spiritual element to the world, but I refuse to put a name on it, or claim that anyone knows anything about it. A little bit of sprituality is good for everyone (believing those who pass on go somewhere other than in the ground) But aaaaaanyway, lets all be happy its friday, and heres my dog in a box
  24. I had a friend who lived in a trippy house in Western Sydney. Nothing particularly weird about the house, it was only about 20 years old when he was living there (so built in the 70s) It was on piers, so raised about half a foot off the ground, polished hardwood floors. There were a heap of times when we would go over to hang out, all 4 or 5 of us sitting in the loungeroom, and you would suddenly hear big thumping footsteps down the hallway (run down the middle of the house, kitchen and living/dining room off one side, bedrooms the other, front door at one end, laundry and backdoor at the other, just a big box house basically) Then other times you'd hear what sounded like someone shuffling down the hall, lights would get turned on in the other side of the house etc (as per the story up a couple, the switch was actually flicked, so not an electrical fault) My mate that lived there was a big italian bloke, (130+kgs), the last straw for him was getting ready for work oneday, lights in the kitchen (accross the hall from his bedroom) starts turning on and off really slowly, then speeding up, it was 3am, pitch black. He grabbed his shit and started walking towards the front door (other end of the hallway) by about 3 steps he hears what sounds like someone double his weight starting to run out of the kitchen. He legged it to the front door, broke the screen door off its hinges on the way out, steps still behind him, did a semi comando roll accross the ground (would have been funniest home video material) got in his car and sped away, showered and got dressed at his work that morning! He moved out a couple days later, couldnt hack living there after that (and I don't blame him) I believe in some kind of paranormal, a heap of things I think are just total BS, but its pretty trippy to deal with shit like that on a personal level
