(curvy body kit.....square car.......you blind?) -obnoxious Indians that don't put the meter on in cabs, claiming its broken....(stopping there b4 the mouth gets to big) -people that change into your lane at last second at the lights cos its pole position.... -people that never ever answer theyr phone....why have 1? -writing sms's in the cold.... -the attitude of the police......youll get the occasional polite kind 1, the rest are power tripping -i tried making a report of noise complaint to cops cos neighbours were screaming for a solid 2 hours at 3am. they wouldn't send a patrol unless i was willing to goto the station and make a statement? over a noise complaint??? oh yeah thats right..theres no profit in giving a warning telling kids to be quiet... -the covering of the Adelaide epidemic of 'binge drinking'. Apparently its a recent occurence? blatently covering up oh you know......petrol prices.....bikie gangs.... -outragous video store fines -even more outrageous uni library fines, for books that haven't been touched since the late 1940's -Any show on MTV.......the scripts came from an actual....corn field......... -People that whinge about petrol prices.....but happily pay $3.50 for 600ml of Mount Franklin..... all for now.... :lol:

Hey all. Recently had my car at the mechanics. Went and paid a visit while it was up on hoist and he pointed out two problems that id like address in the near future. Firstly my front left hand strut is Mcf*cked. He told me he couldn't replace that as their no longer available? So does anyone know if there are after market replacements to suit a 74' KE20, or if they are interchangeable with a later model rolla/Toyota????? and if these struts do exist what price range would i be looking at? Secondly my car is too low/defectable, and apparently i wont be covered by insurance! I don't really want to raise it as I'm quite pleased with the current height. I'm currently using 2" blocks. I wouldn't mind changing that and instead flipping the springs to pretty much the same height. So question 2, does any know if flipping the leafs is deemed as 'legal' and if it can be engineered??? If it can be engineered is it just a matter of doing a good job and getting a tick, or is there some ridiculous checklist just to have it 2" lower??? South Aussie laws.... any suggestions/answers much appreciated.... :) Cheers Mitch

ok took it into the mechanic today, its still there as i type. They called me to confirm uni joint was the problem. However the rattling i described was apparently coming from something loose around the starter motor, Like a little metal plate. He also said i need new struts, and that he can't source them. so hopefully fellow rollaclub members can assist me there.... :bash: report back when i pick it up from the mechanic late this arvo... Ben - the sound comes from the front and then sometimes from the back. at first i thought there was a coke can rolling around from front to back. ha. i got a overrated RAA badge aswell :S Get back to you guys when i find out the problem, hopefully nothing to costly! yeah there was a fair bit of play in the drive shaft, probably 1/3- 1/5th of a turn....

ok, expensive fix??? and will i die or will the rolla die if i keep driving it? ta.

Last night i may have given my ke20 4k a bita beans. not too much but enough. I noticed after i did this i developed a shaking vibration in the steering wheel and gear knob (through all gears, specially cruising in 4th n 5th.) I kept driving, and came to a stop at the lights and when i took off, there was a rattling tin can clunk sort of noise. The noise appears to be coming from the engine, but at times almost seems like its coming from the back. So now it has the tin can noise (when taking off and changing gears only) and vibration/shakes through the gear stick and steering wheel. Took it to see a mate to see if he knew what was going on, but he said could possible the uni joint? its got me and him stumped. anyone else had this problem or one like it?? to the E!!! damn. I don't let the needle drop below the last line on the gauge. My 20 gets a lil rough as it starts to pickup crap from the bottom of the tank..., any1 else run theirs to the E????

altho my manual/guide book says 45L's, my car always fills 30L's.........its baffled me the past few weeks :) glad this was brought up

I'm no electrical wizz bu my indicators stopped workin a few weeks back, turns out theres a white connector behind the storage compartment to the right under the steering wheel. make sure thats connected, give that a shot culd help whered u get your RAA badge??????????
