  1. Right on! so if anyone wants some cheap ass mounts let me know, i have everything eg, engine crane, 4a and t50. Just need someone with an empty ke30/55 engine bay.
  2. Looking to do some 4Age mounts for a ke30/55. So if anyone wants some cheap mounts let me know
  3. all good sorted now, thanks for the replies
  4. anyone kind enough to lend me a torque wrench to do my flywheel up? Too much of a tightass to go and buy one to use it once in a blue moon. Can swing you a six pack, I'm located in mt mee qld 4521 so prefer someone close ot northside Thanks!
  5. ^^^this worked, problem solved. I think the issue was because someone butchered up the adaptor plate there was little sealing area because the holes were enlarged a little too much. Thanks to all who helped, much appreciated.
  6. one of the first things i checked. Will the fuel eat away at the gasket goo?
  7. i have put my finger over every visible hole i can see and nothing. Not to offend anyone here but where is the rule to say which way the carby should be facing? I don't think the way its facing is causing this particular problem. Ben i have made a couple of home made gaskets from gasket paper for the adaptor plate, I will pull it all off again tomorrow and investigate some more. Thanks for all the suggestions guys
  8. well that and the way it is from stock that the larger throttle is closest to the motor and the manifold has the larger opening in that spot so i figure fit the weber up the same way
  9. yeah took it for a drive, drives fine, wont stop screaming at any rpm GJM85 does it matter what way its facing?
  10. Howdy peeps, 84 ke70 stock'o auto. Carby was on its way out so i bought a secondhand weber kit. Yanked the stock on off, put the new one on with adaptor plate, made some new gaskets for in between the plate/carby, go to crank it over and this happens and it wont stop happening I'm going deaf trying to find out whats happening, ive checked every little hole to find a leak and i can't find shit. The noise is so weird i can't even pin point on where its coming from, i hold my hands on all corners of the carby to see if the noise gets quieter and nothing. Any suggestions? anyone had something like this happen before? carby experts out there?
  11. Kick myself everynight for selling this photoshoped
  12. i'll probably get flamed for this but why try polishing a turd? 5k's were not made for making power, i mean look at the ports on all 4/5/7k's Why not just drop a 4agze in it and wind the boost up? whats the reliability going to be of a 5k @150rwkw thats had shit loads spent on it (for a k series motor) as apposed to a stock internal'd 4agze?
  13. if you check out the build thread on ae86dc its much more detailed than this one. I had to cut a large section out for the shifter only because it was a remote shifted r154, if it was the non remote gearbox it would have ended up near the original hole with little cutting. Tunnel was stock and there was no "massaging" of the tunnel needed. can't remember the model of the diff, it was the same or very close to the original length and all i had to do was swap the mounts on it. ra60 struts, r33 calipers and ba rotors, coilover kit. AND BIG f@$kEN LOL AT WAS IT RELITIVELY SIMPLE!! if you have to ask that question then don't even bother attempting an evo build. I think i spent around the 18k mark and i did 95% myself. It might look simple on pen and paper but there are 1000 little things to do. If you don't plan on anyone doing the work for you, you need alot of tools, lots of dedication and time. Oh and patience.
  14. I would not spend a cent at this shop, if this were the last shop in brisbane for tuning, i would rather take a course and open up my own shop. Refering to past dealings with this shop in particular
  15. The tax man has enough money i thinks, I know how the system works and I'm not going to get into it as this is not the topic. I'm a simple cash man and i love it when people speak my language. Not really looking to get it dyno'd as its a 4k and I'm not expecting anything much out of it, just a simple tune so its not guess work. Nisrola, unfortunately don't know anyone in the carby business
  16. Just fixing up the sisters ke70, the carby on it was fooked so i am putting a 32/36 weber on it and want to get it properly tuned for economy/bit moar power. Would love to find someone/somewhere who doesnt mind doing cashies as i never like paying full price (call me a tight ass but meh) any help appreciated
  17. updates???
  18. yeah there was too much of a list for the evorolla, awsome car but i could have spent 50k on it to be totally satisfied with the car. As for the cressy, it costed me less than half the money i spent building the evorolla and puts out nearly double the power. Think i'll be happy enough with it for the mean time, and theres no need for a 1j head, its already got the works, and its got paint!
  19. yes it is certaily sold, although i did have some awsome ideas for a new build but I'm growing tired of spending all my spare time building cars and got lazy and just bought an already built car. I picked up a 2jz cressida which i plan to swap everything into a 180sx shell down the track. I'm not sure you'd consider that a build as you can buy bolt in kits for these conversions which i plan on doing. I just think the cressida will be a bit too heavy for my liking. New owner of the evorolla has some big plans for the car so i'll see if i can get him to open a new thread to keep you all updated.
  20. I used the flange off the standard evo 7 manifold and cut/welded on an evo 3 intake manifold Some sad news about this car and that is it is a good possibility it will be sold in the next 2 weeks as ive been offered quite a generous figure for it that I'm finding hard to pass on
  21. well i went out to harry's tonight and saw only one other KE70, where the hell was everyone?
  22. its called take the front drive shafts out lol
  23. thanks mate! Not a bad job considering when i started the build i had zero experience with welding and alot of things ive done on this car. I'd love to do it all over again and change so many things to make it even better!
  24. yeah i always tell myself to go down to harry's but its so hard to get off the couch once you sit down, lol
