  1. keep an eye on the foam. if it starts deteriorating due to rubbing, small parts of it's gonna get sucked through your motor otherwise, can't see any issue with what you;ve done. will be interested to see this one in action. :D sounds good, and glad to hear you're back on the road.
  2. the wheels you are running are sometimes called brake cookers, because they have no slots. :P
  3. nah, not roosa's car, there used to be one regularly in heathmont identical to this with cookers as well.
  4. i use a guy in melbourne who operates a company called import monster. his whole business is about importing parts from japan, that you bid on yourself with your own account. www.importmonster.com.au he can quote you before you buy, including shipping to you. alternatively a fibreglasser that specialises in race parts should be able to supply something more generic as these are specifically for a kp61 starlet.
  5. use the ke26 one if its long enough, wrap the end of the cable around the ball on the carby and cable tie it to itself. it's semi dodgy, but will work for quite a while. keep spare cable ties in glovebox.
  6. oooo, who was in the ke1x? don't know if i've seen that one around???
  7. was that car originally a melbourne car?
  8. they will put a lot of extra stress on the top shock mount. might be better to get helper airbags that go inside the coil springs that have the same principle. what are the benefits you're looking for by installing these?
  9. from japan... http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k139541545&thumb=http://f1.auctions.c.yimg.jp/img221.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/0/5/2/7/papaiyaaokiss-thumb-124447400585601.jpg&title=KP61
  10. i bought my rims recently, running 35 inch tyres, twelve inches wide on a 16 x 8 rim. was advised 10 inch wide rims would be worse, as mud and sticks more easily get pushed into your bead, also wider wheels are more prone to tyres rolling off the rim.
  11. additionally, you may find your ke30 more suited to club level motorsport, like motorkhanas and autocross which allow you to thrash your car in a safe environment, mostly on dirt, so you can get away with dirt drifting a basically stock ke30 for probably 100 or so bucks. welded diff, and trailer hire, a helmet, long pants and shirt, bonnet. extra bonnet catch, extra return spring on accelerator and a blue triangle to point out your battery location
  12. this thread is bad enough without all the bullshit being added by certain rollaclub members who have asked similiar questions before they got their p plates, and then crashed a ke55... also suffering from poor grammar and spelling at times too. for f@$ks sake, give the kid a break, we have all had dreams that may or may not be realistic, so if anyone feels like going off topic again, or displaying appalling rollaclub spirit, be warned. :fuzz: as for a reply to the OP, sadly making your ke30 a drift car and street legal will be a major challenge. first you will need reliable big power, whatever motor you choose, you'll need to budget around 1000 bucks. then you'll need to make your car handle, this will involve custom suspension, as not a lot of aftermarket stuff for your car really exists. allow about 2-3grand limited slip diff would be your only legal diff choice, again 500 bucks minimum. after you've done all this, you probably want a race seat 300 and rollcage 800ish. all the best with your project, it's yours to do with what you want, but remember even though this community can sometimes be immature and offensive, a lot of us have been down the path you wish to go, and some of our advice could save you some headaches and money. build it, then stick it to em... -dave
  13. keep july's date free for the moment Brendan, I have something in the pipeline that nobody off rollaclub or Toymods will want to miss if it goes ahead. I will give you plenty of notice beforehand, likely to be held somewhere southeast.
  14. not like that, in a nice, i miss you sort of way, but not gay...
  15. when are you going to become part of it again...
  16. sold my nice 67 ke10 couple weeks ago to the right bloke for 4500. he plans on spending about the same amount on it again to redo the interior and have it resprayed.
  17. spend the money on your engine to get it running right before you waste any on illegal lowering blocks. not sure about spring interchangeability, but once you get yours out, measure them, and somebody will be able to confirm for you. should be a cool van when you're done. :D
  18. i've got 13 inch chrome 4x114 sunraysias
  19. but at home you were not so worried secretly hoping for a typo???
  20. mmmm, so clean. :D
  21. that's definitely fixable. let me know if you need a hand, or somewhere to work on it. -dave
  22. panda eats bamboo ;)
