  1. the majority of people on here would say theat the stock springs have a little to much material on them and can gently be coaxed to remove some. HOWEVER, it is ILLEGAL, will make your car ride like a bucket of shit, rattle the fillings out of your teeth, and give you black eyes from your boobs hitting you in the face if you hit a bump :y: . otherwise you could completely remove the springs to get it looking like this, with the same bone jarring effect. after great consideration, i'd suggest looking in the gallery, or at members rides pages, seeing what they've done and pm;ing to ask how much they spent to get there. i reckon you'd get a good look from some lowered springs, and some sweet wheels. -dave PS, do you want your car to handle well afterwards? because that will help when you are considering which way to go :) Good luck, Happy rollin' .
  2. I'm having the same problem, except i just had my calipers rebuilt, and after bleeding the system, i get clear fluid, but the caliper can be slid back and forth while the car is static. i have to pump the pedal to get the right amount of travel. -dave
  3. I have done it and currently have it in my ae71. T-18 cross member t18 gear box and clutch solid line. ke70 tailshaft. need to wire up the coil on other side of engine bay. pretty easy conversion, but you'll either need to weld steering rack mounts on the t18 crossmember, or modify AE71 mounts to take the T motor. with the T18 cross member, everythng bolted up and there was no clearance problems. -dave
  4. they come up on ebay regularly, you can email the seller for custom widths and hubcentric holes. -dave
  5. google image starlet cup they run a massive bodykit that may be adaptable, and may suit your fancy. eithere that or a set of rx-3 racing flares. should be able to fit 15x10's under those puppies :y: -dave
  6. can i ask who through? i suspect mine may be doing the same thing. real spongy only just recently, but not leaking fluid. cheers, dave
  7. if it's already closed, pics as follows... -dave
  8. on yahoo.co.nz found this ke70. i've wanted to do something similiar, now i don't have to. enjoy. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-194173147.htm -dave
  9. to fix the clearance between the tyre and shackle bolts, simply undo the bolts and feed them in from the wheel side, then it only needs to clear the head of the bolt. hope that helps. -dave
  10. ok, lets add 'with your clothes on ;)' ... -dave
  11. What is a LEGAL way rollaclub members have fun on the roads these days? -dave
  12. ok Trav, let's face it. the pigs are tightening the noose around p platers balls so they can't do anything to have any fun, or be tempted to drive beyond their capacity on public roads because too many of them think they're all that, and worry about making their car go faster, look faster, and sound louder, rather than making it stop better handle better, and actually learning how to drive it well, and safely. *(and some crash because of this making the rest look bad) in light of not being able to have fun on the road in any car... why not leave the ke70 with external mods to look good, drive it sedately and legally on the road without fear of being pulled over by the cops and having your car defected or losing your license for doing dumb shit on the road. (like we all have at some stage...) and, with all the money you've saved from not doing pointless engine mods which are illegal, you could focus on a track car to let all your pent up enthusiasm out in a legal and safe environment. (like a silvia or something fast and turbo that makes whooshy noises...) i've lost my license five or six times from doing dumb shit on the road, and had defects on all my cars multiple times. only now am i getting sick of all the bullshit of reversing illegal mods every couple of months to clear a defect, and losing my license from getting enthusiastic on the road. (drifting, burnouts, speed etc) the worst part of driving an illegally modded car is that if you hit somebody else (pedestrian), and there is an investigation into your car, and it is found to be ilegally modified, it therefore shouldn't be on the road, they will cancel your rego, and YOU WILL BE LIABLE FOR MEDICAL BILLS FOR THE PEDESTRIAN FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIFE FROM INJURIES YOU CAUSE. that is why there is insurance built into your rego somehow (slightly different in VIC) I would be very interested to hear what anybody has to say in opposition to any of my comments, in PM or on this forum. i'm not saying i'm right, just putting ideas out there. -dave.
  13. howdy folk, digging up the past... but you'll all be happy to know that this car is still alive and kicking after going underground for a while. i onsold it today for 300 bucks to a guy who is planning on doing it up with a s13 front end with sr20det. as for rego... not sure at this stage. but he is planning a full body tidy up. cut rust out, weld new metal in. just thought somebody would like to know... -dave btw... it's still in melbourne eastern suburbs. .
  14. Do you have insurance???
  15. I'm making early thoughts to go... but it's a f@$ken huge drive for me... would love a support crew from down here, i don't want to be doing it alone. definetely keen tho. -dave`

  17. welcome to ROLLACLUB maffra cruise. population: 1 sadly nobody else showed interest, so it was me and the girly went to maffra. a seized caliper almost short lived our trip in Berwick, but it freed up enough to continue. sadly no pics worth showing. i'll pm a more detailed report to any interested parties... -dave
  18. EXCELLENT, so we'll see you all at Maffra then :D :) -dave
  19. I am still planning on going, is anybody else game? brave a little h2o in Melb, then clear skies out from about pakenham? i'll try to be in pakenham around 730, but with the work christmas party tonight, it may be a bit after too. :) -dave
  20. wouldn't mind a quick hands up of people who are more than 50/50 going. -dave
  21. the lower plate of your air cleaner should be hubcentric with the carbie ring. this will at least prevent the air cleaner sliding around on the carbie, which is probably why the bolt breaks, either that, or you get massive torque lift from the broken mount, and the cleaner is hitting the bonnet :'( good luck :P -dave
  22. i'm planning on being there. bump...
  23. ^^^ Wasn't thinking of it as a rollaclub related logo, jus thought it may be of interest to people looking on this thread. sizing i was thinking around 75 x 100mm or similiar
