  1. how big do you want to go??? I had 205/40/17's on my ke38. They fit beautifully, on 17 x 7 rims. I don't know how much i went bigger in rolling diameter though... good luck. :D I was going to use a late model corolla tyre sticker, cause no cop is going to check to see whether the model code lines up with the tyre placard. I was going to use one that said i ran 15 inch wheels stock. but now i'm back to 13" anyway....
  2. what are you trying to achieve from this? I could best suggest you try to buy a new tyre placard from a later model corolla that has specs that you desire and stick it in place of factory one. If not possible, why not take a digital photo of the current one, photoshop the details in that you wantm then take it to a signwriter who should be able to print a sticker for you. good luck, would like to see how it goes as i've thought of doing something similiar. -dave
  3. excess pressure in the cooling system happened to my car when i blew a head gasket. It didn't have oil in water or vice versa either. I ended up running the car without a radiator for three weeks, cause i got sick of always topping up the water... still ran fine after three weeks when i got a new motor
  4. buy a second car that has the 114.3 stud pattern to run the globes on, and then buy some more rims to suit the ae95. :jamie:
  5. ke70 tailshaft won't split. but i believe that the t-18 tailshaft will be a direct fit to ke70. I say this because i used a ke70 one in my Ae71 with a t-18 gearbox in it. good luck :jamie:
  6. i've got some stockies you could use with hubcaps if you wanted. just keep the bonnet shut :y:
  7. imho, doesn't look great, only because you can't get much dish to fit in the guards sample
  8. maybe have a play with photoshop, or paint. should be easy to get a profile pic of ke1, and simmons too. otherwise pics of r100 f=with fr17 should be pretty common. should be able to get a general idea. most likely find some rims for sale on ausrotarydotcom would be right pcd as well. good luck :(
  9. I personally haven't seen any, iirc. I imagine it would look somewhat like a mazda R100 with 16's plenty of pics around of those. best bet to get something that fits right would be to measure everything first, so you know what will fit. work out clearances and offset, then go hunting. :( a lot of rims that come off a mazda will fit your ke1x, but some of the wider wheels won't fit without rolling your guards. are you planning on doing this soon? -Dave
  10. I have some old slicks from a Formula Ford, and from a Formula 3. do you live within driving distance to a racetrack where they race either of those categories? If so, get down there next round, and you should be able to pick some up free. The Formula 3 use a kumho the front's are a sensible size, the rears are massive.
  11. only car i heard of having 4 x 120 pcd, was mazda 121/rx5 and the 929 of the same era, very hard to find wheels to suit as nothing was the same
  12. a tape measure should confirm how wide the tyre can fit in the guard, then offset will be the governing factor as to how much of that measurement can fit under, or hangs out. good luck :S a ke30 should fit an 8" slick without tubbing, just won't be able to slam it on it's ass. ke20's are known in the drag scene as having the largest rear wheel wells from factory (as far as jap stuff goes...) i'll be keen to see what you end up doing  -dave
  13. if you wish to register a car in Vic, at most Vicroads they will pop the bonnet and check the engine number and body/chassis number before rego-ing. If it has been previously registered with that motor, you're ok. If it hasn't been, but it's the same type of motor, ie 3k-> 3k, then you need only to provide a purchase receipt for the motor, or proof that you already owned the motor. If it is not the same type of motor ie 3k ->4age, then you will require an engineers certificate stating that the job has been done satisfactorily, as well as a RWC. If the current owner provides a RWC when selling, you still have to present the car to Vicroads where they will check the numbers. Hope this helps
  14. would prefer to see it in JNC. :) (Japanese Nostalgic Car)
  15. i would say as long as no part of the diff hits any part of the body once you've cut the bump stops you should be right. i believe that is all theyre there for, but it may be different in Badelaide.
  16. wow a coroner and an automotive engineer, and physicist... he must be getting paid a shitload.
  17. that's looking great! can't wait to see it all finished. :jamie: -dave
  18. would a macca's employee really spell fries 'fires'? re-read it...
  19. dude, that is way harsh. any property of anybody's should be respected. what if it was a single mum's only mode of transport? or a pensioner's only car? Have a think about what you say. -Dave

  21. within my oval filter resides two round non genuine filters. iirc. will look on the weekend and let you know.
  22. you'd want to always be parking undercover... :)
  23. A 4age setup from a Ke70 will not bolt straight into a 35. you will need to modify your engine mountings, clutch pedal setup, and likely a custom tailshaft and gearbox mounts. There will also be some mucking around with wiring and cooling as with most engine conversions. There would be only minor benefits buying a ke70 that has been converted and then puting it in a ke35. Dave
  24. would be a first for me, but i reckon it would look great if done right. if you're planning to do this, please don't chop up a overrated bar. I'm sure there's plenty of potential donor ones if you need. i'll help you find them if need be. -Dave
  25. Sorry to see a fine car damaged. Glad to see it being driven to it's full potential though :jamie: I have a couple of potential ke11 shells if you can't find anything closer to you. Glad you're ok, -Dave
