  1. another tip is to turn the nut side, not the bolt side. The bolt has all the added friction of the joint on it's length, the nut doesn't. and vice versa for accurate tensioning of joints too. -Dave
  2. any update on this Corolla1? still making sets? your old one for sale?
  3. some of the pollution gear will still work, ie the charcoal canister can still be used with extractors, the various vacuum hoses and valves on the factory carby were also there to aid drivability as well as pollution control. you can make a preheat pipe attachment for your extractors if you wanted that feature, if you still use the factory aircleaner (which i guess you aren't) what do you want to clear out of the engine bay specifically? a pic might help to clarify.
  4. the picture explains that it is illegal. it won't work when you have extractors and a weber. you don't mention what car it is in, nor what type of engine. how are we supposed to know what you mean? sounds like a bad idea...
  5. Details??? Ph number or website???
  6. I will definetely take you up on that. thankyou. I might even bring my dashes to compare. Thanks Justin
  7. that's the exact reply i wanted. Top work. Thankyou. I will investigate the more local replies, and see what i can dig up.
  8. Hi Rolla Fans, I want a couple of new dashes for my e1's. I know they aren't available, so i want to make some. I have started making enquiries about having a ke1x dash reskinned, even a quick search turned up nothing that was specific for ke1x. I rang Dashboard Doctor in coburg today, he doesn't have facility to repair them, however, I asked if he could cover a fibreglass mould. He said yes, (up to $300) which leads me to looking for someone to make a mould of a good dashpad. (maybe moulding in new clips too?) I have got three uncracked dashes here, one from early ke10, one from ke10b, and one from ke11. (yet to compare side by side, but iirc, they are different) I have varying measurements for these dashes, wondering if anyone can help with posting up the dimensions their dash is (total width, and distance between humps?) maybe even spacing of mounting tabs? IF anybody would be interested in buying one of these, (no firm plans to go ahead at this stage, just an eoi) please PM me or post here (if you are a competent fibreglasser, or know one, Please contact me too.) -Dave 0422 328 332 IF YOU HAVE HAD PERSONAL EXPERIENCE HAVING ONE RESKINNED, PLEASE POST RESULTS IN THIS THREAD. I don't want clutter of "this guy might be able to, or try a retrimmer, or try a dash doctor" (if you wish to do some research and post up FACT, feel free to do so.)
  9. i'm in  I think parts of the Alpine rd close during winter??? Spring or autumn would be spectacular. must get convertible ready...
  10. I thoroughly enjoyed my first "palmer" show. Nice to meet a bunch of Rollaclubbers and Toymodders. Thanks for introducing me Greg. Also nice to meet the Gav, and the Radrollas boys. Will definetely go again. I might take something with me next time too. :D -dave
  11. i'm interested in a ke3x k50, but i don't have a ke70 one to swap.
  12. Another idea you may consider, whilst not being directly up your alley, you could do an engineering certificate/diploma at tafe (swinburne Wantirna maybe croydon too?) while working full time, and being trained while you do so. you'd learn welding and fabrication, hopefully which you could use in conjunction with your love of cars. just an idea, best of luck whichever way you go. it's more like a technical apprenticeship. -Dave
  13. I have a pair here, they are 4 x 114.3 and fit beautifully under the guards of the ke25. :lolcry: :lolcry: the only shit thing is they're light truck sized, so 12.5 inches in diameter. factory tyres are 225/50 siiiiiick
  14. ke20 rails will attach to ke70 seats without modification. you will need to remove a plastic cover on the seat for the adjusting mechanism.
  15. I met a guy today who has been active in Historic Formula 3 for the last 15 or more years, and he is running a 3k with 1298cc capacity. estimated 140 hp. He mentioned he would be happy to help anyone on here with building up a similiar motor, or milder. He is a Fully qualified mechanic, semi retired now, enjoying life. If you want more details, feel free to PM me. Regards, Dave

  20. due to an increase in spammers and bots, they are denying access to people who try to sign up with a free email account like hotmail or yahoo etc, you need an ISP email address so that you can be verified better. hope this helps. there are a few members on here who could probably help you out if you can't sign up over there. -Dave
