  1. I'd like to thank everyone that showed up from Rollaclub, it was a great turnout despite the weather, and i can't wait for the next one when hopefully better weather. In all I counted 16 cars that attended and around 20 people and one pooch. Unfortunately whilst distributing donuts and meeting some new faces I didn't take any photos, but I will try to find some somebody else has posted up. -Dave
  2. yay, one sleep to go :) hope to see lots of the melbourne rollas at this one
  3. Good to see some interest here, should be a good meet despite any potential weather issues. :D can't wait :D
  4. Sounds good to me, I'm in as long as I don't have anything on that day I can't get out of.
  5. wow, I really hope you know that channelling means something totally different...
  6. It'll cost you $55 bucks, and you'll recieve a free Tccav Membership ;)
  7. Hello Melbournites, Country Victorians, interstate and international visitors, I would like to invite you all to a Toyota Car Club of Australia (Victoria) meetup that is happening next Sunday the 19th of Sept 2010. As the Social Secretary of the club, I will be organising a monthly social meet, where anyone who has a passion for Toyotas is welcome to come along and join us displaying their car and talking cars or anything else for a couple of hours. This is what I hope to be the start of a regular monthly meet-up called CARS, COFFEE and DONUTS. Basically a family friendly, low key meet-up that is not too far out of the way for most members, where the theme will be parking(displaying) our cars in a relatively public place, having a good coffee, and dunking a donut or two for those that would like to indulge a little. Meeting Place: The Glen shopping centre carpark. Springvale Rd, Glen Waverley. (between Railway Pde Nth and Coleman Pde) Date/Time: Sunday 19th September, 8:30am-10:30am Bring: Yourself (and the family), a Toyota if possible, a friend, money for a coffee and lots to talk about! A limited quantity of Donuts will be provided free for TCCAV members, first in best fed. Please be reminded that this is an official TCCAV event and a great opportunity to get those CH or H plated cars out of the garage to blow the cobwebs out of the carbies! This event will not be limited to Toyotas, but is aimed at Toyota owners, so feel free to invite other people to attend with their car of interest to display. I’m sure that it isn’t necessary to remind participants that their behaviour will be a representation of our club, so nothing anti social, be it of a driving nature or otherwise. I can be reached on the day (or before if necessary) on 0422 328 332. See you there! -Dave
  8. I got a quote from www.e-go.com.au fo one caton weighing 25kg, 40x40x40 from worongary to bacchus marsh for $27.34 approx 6-7 days. I'd like to see someone beat that quote. :D Nobbler, let me know if you want me to organise it for you. -Dave
  9. don't waste time with auspost.. $$$$$ use www.e-go.com.au half the price, twice as easy. I have used them for five interstate deliveries now, no probs. I highly reccomend them. -Dave
  10. I hear they have a nice boat that goes to the best place in the world!!! I think it's called Spirit?
  11. Hey Boo, instead of hitting the "quote" button, like you would think to do... hit the reply button at the bottom of the post you want to quote. it does the rest for you. :laff:
  12. I'll get you a siphoning device... not for illegal purposes, but to transfer fuel between your cars .:D -Dave
  13. spotted HEND-0 Car parked in his driveway around lunchtime today :D
  14. i considered this for a while, but was to slow... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  15. WWW.E-GO.COM.AU you will not find cheaper. I have used them multiple times, and they are cheaaaap. also deliver in about half the time quoted. -Dave
  16. I did a run on Friday, got 11c a kilo for pressed steel (car bodies) 2.10 a kilo for insulated copper wire aand about 3.50 a kilo for plain copper (radiator and heater cores) not worth doing. :lolcry:
  17. Most places wouldn't waste time with less than a mixed tonne, or significant small quantities. sorry bud. you might get 80c for each battery, and about 200/tonne on steel. that's about 20c /kg not worth driving it there...
  18. if you tightened the bolt through a link of chain, you would achieve the same result
  19. manual conversion sitting down at centre rd...
  20. beat me to it!!! lol
  21. lol, you don't want to see what we lift with small pieces of alloy at my shed then...
  22. use a longer bolt out on the exhaust side instead, and possibly the same on the opposite side if you have no luck. if you're using chain, you can put the bolt through a link for security.
  23. i once used a tailshaft like a battering ram against one edge of the tyre to get a mazda rim off a corolla. (mazda rim has a smaller centre hole, and basically cold welded itself on)
  24. lol @ roofracks...
  25. cheaper one by Loctite is FREEZE AND RELEASE about 13 a can, and actually has a type of liquid nitrogen to freeze the fasteners, causing corrosion to break, then the penetrant wicks in.
