  1. if you just had the 1 carb it would be simple, leen it off a little at a time and rev it, if it lags it would be ritch and if it stals after you rev it its too leen. when set well (if you just had 1 carb) the reaction time would be good and it would idle well, as for a dubble set up i would think to maybe diss conect the link raill ant set 1 at a time. or does this dubble your fuel so as its too ritch? i hate twins for this only.. for the others who read this and have 1 carby, when you take it for a spin, have a flat head on the seat cos if it does cut out you can ritchen it up to get you home. happened too me lots haha.
  2. i had the thought of fitting an old 80's flat 4 boxer 1.8 out of a suby at 1 point just for the little power and too keep the centor or gravity low and cos it was really differant, who the hell prints a book on that shit??? noone, its all new to the world of an AE, KE,TE or HE/SHE whatever, its a little thing called "custom work".
  3. this is only what i heard not seen, iv learnt a bit about the K type motor over the last two weeks and I'm starting to diss agree with this as well, maybe 100 HP of the fly at top end for a 4k, my friend just did a 5k, hot head and extractors, didnt come close, i think i got cond...ooops....y....

  5. i agree with your words on the crank, the k motors are good with there cranks and the same with going through API they are really competitive. if you don't do the crank might be worth having the pistons and con-rods weight dialed in, they are the parts mooving the fastest under power. if you want to take load off the crank, do the flywheel, i thought it helped my little k. you should end up with a sweet k at the end :rocknroll:.

  8. i am using FTP but a 4k that uses dished pistons has a flat face head,i wont need to face the head and its just a beta built and newer head, i just though som1 would have done this and could tell me out right as iv found nothing on the topick. thanks shane'0.

  10. you wont win cos red goes faster. iv got the paint number from mum's getz and i like that redish orange. beta than the old china blue toolbox paint i used last year. as for that hill climb lets see how that bitza 5k thats i 3 boxes goes against a balanced 3k running hopefully over 10.0:1 compression to your 9.3:1. see you in a month.

  12. well some of use might have heard this all to meny times befor but i havent. i want more compression out of me 3k but want the reliability of the 4k head. i keep getting told that it would fly apart but some others use theres every day an it halls with all the stock bottem end bits. :yes: what would be betta a dished 4k or a plattop 4k piston head. i have 2 to use.

SLAPP. i know what a 3k/4k can take. il go and see a few diferant places ant if thet say something differant all 3 times il just go with the bigest amount taken off and see what happens. BOOOOM.
  14. tell me pleas, that 4k head you put on your 3k, how good did it run as a dailly driver would it last on the road or was the compression too high and needing to run off of av-gas haha. id really like to know.
  15. mother of good 311rwhp that thing would put a SS in the corner with that kind of power to waight. whats the top speed, like i wouldnt push more than 220km unless the steering was cheked and had new springs. be like driving a small boat with all that power and nothing to keep it in a straight line up too 280km. :yes: its sick but. :y:
  16. ha ha ha haylittle buddy howsthings yea you know i wanted to do it lime green but a week befor i went to get yhe paint guess what i pulled up next too. a bloody lime green ke55 with blake mags so i think i might just do it in a stock ke red. greens out of the picture and the motor is a 3k that i got for $80 il gust shave the head till i get about 9.5: compresssion. il race you up the hill some day soon guz.

  21. a 1year warning of the cruise would be enough for say some people from vic to come along i would think. maybe a 2day'er even. id do that. in just too keen. people lets make it happen.
