  1. Ok thanks for tha guys. I see your point. Ill get a heavy duty one, and then later on down the track I will drive a car with a button clutch and test it to see how I like it. Thanks. Travis.
  2. Is that only for HD buttons though? not HD cushion buttons? Travis.
  3. Cheers for that Si. Exactly what I thought. I think I'm going to go the Exedy HDCB clutch. Thanks for all the info on that :bash: much appreciated. Cheers. Travis.
  4. Well its a 200mm TODA racing 3.9kg flywheel, so 4ac clutch then yea? Travis.
  5. Haha I live around no one from RC, it sucks. Nope 20v injectors wont fit in your 16v rail. But if you had a 20v 2j injectors fit up, keep that in mind if you ever get a 20v, if you don't its really just a bit of useless info I just gave you :P Hows the suspension look? Complete specs? Also I cannot stress enoguh on the heat required for welding diffs. Make sure you heat it up before you weld it. And I mean heat it. Then stick weld it with the proper electrodes, these are not normal eneral purpose electrodes either, I could find out which would be best, but I'm sure you could ask someone highly knowledgable, then after its welded, STICK IT IN LIME FOR 24 HOURS!! don't just whack it back in there. This is how I would do it anyway, its probably the most proper way you can weld a diff so far as I'm aware. Personally I would never take a mig, or a gasless mig (yes ive seen this done :0 ) Anyway up to you and how long you want it to last :bash: you will probably end up getting a T series and a trd 2 way anyway :D Glad I could help :) Travis.
  6. Not race, speed, break the law, pay the price. Others shouldnt have to put up with slower speedlimits because one - a few people f@$k up. Just more coppers, and speed cameras. Travis.
  7. I was told $800 max by my panel beater, I took it too him after a heap of trouble of him not being there only find out he had over doubled his original price to $1800. I was devastateed, but I need to get it done :bash: And then its another $2000 minimum for the paint I want!! Ahh well. Great build, looks good :D Travis.
  8. Yea injectors are on the rail on 16v, not on manifold. 20v injectors wont work on a 16v. I'm not sure if you need the 16v TPS or the 20v TPS. Also will need to figure out the throttle cable etc. Also a handy thing I found out today: bigport injectors are roughly 195cc and smallport ingectors around 235cc and 4agze are around 325cc? something like that. Smallport injectors might prove to be a decent, not too large upgrade :bash: Travis.
  9. There all: :bash: They look half real too, some good quality photochoppers out there. Travis.
  10. Cheers for that :bash: Exactly the info I wanted to know :D I like the idea of the HDCB. But what about these sports organics? Ill measure it tomorow. Cheers. Travis.
  11. And who said we wanted or needed your 2c. Respect the guys wishes and GTFO Travis.
  12. Most suspension gear from an ae86 fits a ke70. MOST. So it depends what your after. Travis.
  13. I'm 99% sure its a 200mm Toda version. Did they come out in a 212 mm for 3.9kg? It came with the 4age and it looks like a pretty stock clutch too. I will double check, is it just outside diameter? Travis.
  14. Ok well I'm going to need a new clutch for my jdm 16v 4age. It has a Toda racing 3.9kg flywheel. Gonna be used for beginners track days/Drift/Gymkhana also will be my daily. Just wondering: A.) Do i just get an australian spec ae86 Exedy clutch? or do i need to special order one, or do i need it off an ae92 etc. In the FAQ it states that there are 2 types of clutches so I'm guessing I can just get the ae86/ae71 4ac version yea? B.) What are peoples opinions on these clutches? There are a few types I can get which would suit my needs the most? Heavy Duty Kit Heavy Duty Button Kit Heavy Duty Cushion Button Kit There are 2 versions of this: Sports Organic Kit? What are the differences between these clutches and how do they affect drivablity/slipping etc etc. I understand a button clutch would be a pain in a daily car yes? Because it just is either on or off. So really I just don't know what a cushion button is or a sports organic. Thanks in advance. Travis.
  15. Put a WTB add up. On all the car sites, ae86dc rc, even toymods even. Quick hint: Cough.. look in wtb threads on ae86dc a sponser whom we must not name sells them I'm pretty sure.. cough. Travis
  16. f@$king AY Hey Ryan have you looked on ebay? 1.) 2.) There are heaps of cheaper ones than those, like 100 - 200 bucks!!! Have a look man, if you can find one close by it would be sick, but if not frieght wouldnt be too much if you found the right people :bash: Cheers. Travis.
  17. MAD!!! So good man so good!! :bash: Travis.
  18. Cheers roo, I will look for it on monday :y: Also if anyone has a complete loom for any 16v 4age out/in the car or lying around, would they be able to take photos of all the plugs with the names of what they plug into? Because I really want to see if the map sensor loom I have is complete/what it is missing, map sensor version prefered  Also does anyone know the link to checking which ecu I have, it has a blue sticker on it, I hope its the map version. Cheers. Travis.
  19. Cool, i really dig this model, a guy i know has a white one, has a 12000 dollar supercharger kit, aftermarket ecu etc. except his is the v8 version. same style though, great pick up :y: Also my mate has one of six stock ea? flacons that came as a turbo 6. He is a Ford nut. Looks great. Travis.
  20. Took the sump off the 4age today, CLEAN CLEAN SPARKLE CLEAN!! Well it didnt exactly sparkle but it was really clean, no sludge what-so-ever :y: Now I'm just wondrering what to use to put it back on, the sealant that is, ive heard a loctite of some sort is good? Any comments? Travis.
  21. Yea would definately have to change to 7 rib block too, use the 7 rib crank or gze crank, you could even use st conrods a gze crank and some forged pistons. But if your going to spend that kind of money I certainly hope it isnt going to just be a road car daily. It was have to see its fair share of track days. As for the ITB's id say do them if your already going afermarket big cams 272/288/304 or bigger and ecu and a whole heap of head work. Because your going to NEED an aftermarket ecu its going to cost you alot already so an extra $200+ for the ITB's and $250+ for a manifold if you cannot fabricate one. There is no extra wiring because your already doing your Aftermarket ECU. Its kind of the thing I would only put in if i was doing a giant package modification if you know what I mean. If your going to do those sorts of modifications you really need to do it all at once. The fact is though doing it like that you can't do it on the cheap because since your doing so much modification all at once you can't narrow down problems so easily. And if something can go wrong in your engine build, it will. Travis.
  22. Yea I reckon HKS 264 cams, extractors or jdm stock inlet manifold and secondries, then a 2 - 2 1/4" exhaust, Some head work if you can afford it, and a trd metal head gasket. All that would be perfect if your setting yourself a small amount of money on upgrades that are relatively easy and will provide you with some more power for sure. Also Aftermarket ecu would be nice but you could get away with stock possibly, also I think its called a piggy back ecu? its cheaper and it dosent really adjust it much, not like a megasquirt or microtech etc, I havent looked into them but ive heard little things here and there, I'm not sure if there expensive though :y: If you still have money, Smallport: get it port and polished at a workshop with a flow bench. If bigport, same but only remove dags and polish, the ports don't need to be any bigger. Other upgrades: Bigger cams, 272/288. Larger valves, I Think you can buy 2mm over size. TRD/HKS Valve springs. Convert to under bucket shims, ITB's, High compression bottom end, forged internals yada yada yada, etc etc. If you want to go past my first paragraph don't listen to what I'm telling you work it out for yourself, your going to need too  Travis.
  23. ahhk, cool as. Should be sweet, a track car is the go for learning, I just CBF'd. Closest track to me is 5 minutes away, raliegh raceway, you heard of it? great little track. Next closest would be qld raceway id say. Travis
  24. You mean the ae71 with a ke front? Got a project thread for it? Linky linky, you know I was thinking of coming down and grabbing it hahahahha. Travis.
  25. They should chuck in a few speed cameras, usually that stops the majority speeding, I think speed cameras are a good traffic speed control system, people always slow down if they know theres a camera ahead. Travis.
