ahh so there not the long poles, they must be push rods :) so push rods get pushed by the lifter which pushes the valves down?

yea true, its weird aye it works over 3000 rpm but jumpy under trev reccons i need a variable resistor on just the tacho wire hope i can get it working, if not ill get a nice monsta white dial one.../even though my current one has custom dials already....

could you hold the lifters up with something like tape if you take the rocker cover off? there the lifters that push the valves up and down right, so you just take off rocker cover and tape em on somehow then undo cam rip it out and then put new one in and un tape lifters? Travis

ok well i got ignitor and elec dizzy going today, makes car sooo much better, valve clearance are set to stock, and its running puuurrrfffeecctttyyyy cept for tacho which is like a hula dancer before 3000rpm.... but i will fix that i hope gonna steal my sis's camera soon so i can get some good shots of it, and how hawt it looks with new headlights then ill steal it again when bodykit is on but for moment i have to actually find a courior who can pick up my bodykit and get it to me! hopefully sort that on monday anyone know one who will take it from gymea bay to coffs harbour? haha, its not the tacho, i have a feeling its cause i took off the ballast resistor so its giving it 12v continusely to tach, then when you go over 3000 your giving it more electricity than what it gets at idle kinda thing so it works but yea, trev said theres a variable resistor i can get for em, just have to find out where cheers Travis

ok well i put in the elec dizzy today, got it all good, the mechanics apprentice helped me with it she runs beautifully changed the clearances to those reconmended and no way it was way too loud, and the idle went higher, or sounded like it did also with tach after putting in elec dizzy and high energy coil and ignitor the tacho jumps everywhere except after about 3000 rpm how can i fix that? is it because i took off the ballast resistor? nah i don't believe everything people say, it just made sense as there is a servo local that uses"ethanol" in their fuels and it makes the engines run like shit, i reckon they put water in instead but yea, i do listen to what people say and if i can't dispute it with eveidence who am i to say its not right?

ok recieved this in the mail today its a bosch ignitor 9 222 067 021 it has 4 prongs, one with 3 above it one with 7 above it and one with 15 above it and one with 16 above it where do i connect these prongs too, is it 2 to dizzy and 2 to coil, if so which prongs go where? edit - found it http://www.austarion.com/tech/BoschIgnitio...eConversion.pdf so if you need it that will tell you. 2nd edit - actually, so does 3 go to neg side of dizzy and 7 go to pos, then 15 goes to pos side of coil and 16 goes to neg? and how do i know which side of dizzy is pos or neg? as it doesnt say? just has 2 wires coming out of it and where do i put the 2 vacuum spots on the dizzy as original dizzy only has one vacuum spot. 3rd - i did it today, used the 4ac wiring diagram in the faq but now the tacho jumps everywhere under 3000 rpm? how can i fix that? i have a 5k liteace induction setup on my worked 4k, to a pod filter hanging in between battery and radiator, makes mad noise, its in a box too, custom by myself, so its legal enough ill get some photos later as its raining cost 25 from wreckers and pod 40, including pipe off lite ace from wreckers
