O wow I didnt know thats how the rear window looked stocked, loks weird now that I'm loking at it more. i would have preffered a larger pillar behind the door, but if your making it look stock then it will work better for you ;) Looks heaps good, get some photos up of the inside and how its welded together ;) Travis.
-
Are you gonna tell us/ at least show us how you mounted them ;) Looks great man ;) Travis.

Ok weekend update: Ive been cleaning, antirust prepping, wleding on flat front rad support and seam welding and accidently setting things on fire. Pics and Details later on tonight as I'm still doing it, I'm just have a quick break and catching my breath ;) Travis.

Is it just me or does the rear glass look too long on the part closest to the door? It should have more of a gap between the glass and the door in my opinion. Travis.
-
Hey Luke you should get one of these: Rice spec but looks better than standard silvertop stuff ;) Hahah, I think you should paint them a matte black or satin black, I think that would look cool ;) Travis.
-
Yes I know you already knew Benzo :y: But with ae86 and xt130 can't they use the same springs and shocks? Unless they can only use the same shocks and you just chuck a welded on coilover kit on them :bash: Travis.
-
Thats Melbourne Shuffling alright :bash: The guy also drives a ke70 if you didnt know already :y: Travis.

Cool, great tig welds on the surge tank too, you do them yourself? How is this going to pass engineering? I didnt think you could have a surge tank in the boot? Travis.
-
Then when you get to velocity stacks make sure there as long as you can get them, cause the longer your intake them more torque :bash: Travis.

Yea but when you think about cheap does it make it worth it to do these tiny little modifications that do shit all, when you could just save your money for something that does it right and does it right first time. Tiny modifications will give you a poofteenth of extra power but with all mods you will lose something, its like putting a weber 32/36 on a 4k, your doing it on the cheap cause it gives you a tiny bit more top end but you lose any kind of fuel economy. Make it worth while and don't spend money on things that you sacrifice something like fuel economy for a poofteenth of power increase and mostly likely not over the entire rev range. But go ahead prove me wrong make a 4age with a shipload of a power increase from "cheap" mods and see how long the 4age lasts/how long it takes for you to get bored and realise you just wasted money and either change to a different car/engine or actually do the modifications that are worth while. Travis.

Corona xt130's use the same size strut diameter as ae86. If you want shorter stroke you can cut down the strut tube. Vented discs are only on jdm ae86 struts, So yea its personal preferance really, and depends on your cash/how handy you are. Travis.

Can you solder/build electronic things? If so get a megasquirt, for around 450 you can get a heaps good megasquirt with a wideband sensor, you just build it yourself. What sized trumpets are you using? Do you want torque or top end? Travis.
-
And what is stopping you putting it in and getting a blueslip and an engine number change, hell you could even get an exemption. would need to be built to a stock jdm ae86 suspension and engine wise though i would say. Both a 4ac and a 4age hae the same type of numbers on the block, its pretty much a head swap. There both 1.6 and both 4a engines, they use the same mounts, little to no modification. It dosent need to be engineeered, its under the 15% law. Travis.

I don't know if you would really notice a difference, Duration: 232° vs 240° Lift: 7.1mm vs 7.56mm Intake opening: 8°BTDC vs 9°BTDC Exhaust opening: 47°BBDC vs 51°BBDC You would notice a tiny bit I guess. Just get 256° or bigger, Screw all these on the cheap mods, there not worth the time. Do it right and do it right the first time. Travis.

And why do you need a phone that does that? :bash: Simple and easy to use, + all the extras like calculator, calendar and bluetooth and your set, its just a phone if you want fun buy a psp or similar.... Travis.

What quads you getting? black or silvertop? What stuff you getting with the quads or is it just the quads on there own? What ecu you gonna run with the quads? Travis.
-
Corona's are better ive heard a few reasons why but i can't remeber, i think it has something to do with the brakes o and no Takumi Tax too :bash: Travis.
-
Yes exactly. But you can't say lets make a thread with no budget, cause all you would have to do is give them the part numbers you need to build a Formula Atlantic 4age. Which I have. And who is going to bother listing a whole heap of modifications that you could do to your 4age? Just cruise around the forums do the research ask advice and look at what mods others have done tot here 4ages and develop your own from that. You can't be told what to do with your car because when you become unhappy with it it just gives you someone else to blame because you didnt do the research. Thats my 2c anyway. Travis.

My sony Erricson had to be repaired 3 times, but it still works now, ive given it away and got a nokia, was too outdated. My nokia hasnt needed to be repaired. And I love how easy to use and advanced the nokia can be :bash: Nokia FTW. Travis.

Yea seems weird. What about US cars with these on them, or any other cars, do they have similar problems? Anyone else had a similar problem with them? Could it be there in need of balencing or something? Wish it didnt do that its stopped me getting one for my 4age :bash: Travis.
-
Cool cool. Hope it wasnt done dodgy :bash: Quad head lights, jdm bumpers and te71 taillights and she will be perfect! Cheers. Travis.

Hey I found out something interesting the other night, and instead of creating another topic id just write it in this: From national codes of practise thing on internet I read. http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/veh...ns_3Feb2006.pdf Under section fibreglass: Cheers. Travis.

Welders and phones are a no no. Surely they taught you that right? I also hope they told you no matches, firecrackers or lighters on you when welding too right? Travis.
-
Why? Just search around and read up yourself? The more you read the more you learn aobut different little things, not what one person rekcons is best and thats the law. Read up and don't expect it on a silver plater, it takes a bit of learning, and SEARCH!! Heres a quick link for you anyway. http://www.twincam.info/index.php?showtopic=27794 Travis.
