Just had a look at that cross section of the RR FPR. from the way i see it all it is, is a boost variable valve. it bleeds off excess fuel pressure via the return line. as boost increases it puts pressure against the diaphram and moves the needle closer to the seat reducing the amount of pressure being bled off and increasing the amount of output pressure. I'm currently doing a machinist/ fitter and turner apprenticeship and using what i know i don't think it would be all that hard to make one from scratch. the hardest think to do is getting the boost/fuel pressure 1:1 and sealing it to stop boost and fuel leaks. I'll see if a can make one and let you know how its going. CHEERS Ryan

whats a F20c?? never heard of one before. just wondering CHEERS Ryan

Ok i this'll sound a bit dumb but how do you set the timing? Do you line up the timing mark on the timin cover and turn the dizzy round till the rotor lines up with #1 on the dizzy cap? never had to do it before but this seems like the way to do it. CHEERS Ryan

Sorry guys didnt make it all the way, i don't even think i made it half way!!. couldnt keep up in the old 3k beast, plus the clutch is on its way out (Old Nortin summit Road, 4th gear 60kays and the clutch was slippin like hell) was following Murderess but then we both lost the rest of yas:(. I ended up cruisin thru the city and the amount of looks the rolla pulled (still wonderin why) was pretty amazing. I had a bunch of guys fightin over wether it was a datto or corolla. Oh well good to see a few cars out there pitty i couldnt keep up, MUST try harder next time. CHEERS Ryan

ROB SHNIEDER: Goes together like lamb and tuna fish. might try that one day. CHEERS Ryan -
nah not gonna take the studs out. i'll grab a gasket for both flanges i need as i think it'll be easier to scan a gasket rather than straight off the turbo. If any body in adelaid wants the details of laser cutters i went to PM me. as i siad above we deal with them thru work and always do a good job. CHEERS Ryan
-
OK went down the laser cutters to get a quote. but they can't take a scannin of what they need to make for bolt holes beacaus the studs are still in. i don't really wanna take the studs out and then have to be put back in. So does anybody know where to get turbo gaskets in adelaide that are pretty inexpensive. Oh and talked to my mechanic that did all the mech work on my ute and he reckons its a good idea and should go well and plus it'll be a bit of learning for me. CHEERS Ryan

Saw a AE112 today pretty sure it was soulsearchers, same colour and wheels. if anyone knows if soulsearchers no. plate starts with XKK-??? then it was theirs. looked pretty good. A few KE70's and my mates AE80 gettin round at my old high school. seems the old rollas are startin to get popular with the younger driver (P platers) me included. maybe cos their cheap and you can give them a floggin and they come back for more, like mine. right at the bottom of the carb on the strut tower side. the screw itself looks the colour of brass and has a spring underneath. when i did mine this morning i screwd it in till it sounded like it was gonna conk out (because your just about stoping the flow of petrol) the screwed it out (counter clockwise) 1 1/2 to 1 1/3 turns. now the tacho and pertol gauges don't race each other :D Also ho do you check the points gap?? CHEERS Ryan

SWEET, just found how to properly set up the mix. mines been running rich ever since i put the KE30 carb on it. cheers raven. CHEERS Ryan
