It sounds like your looking for performace here. may i suggest you use 3k pistons.AFAIK they are apparently better than the 4k pistons as they are made by Toyota not by repco (4k pistons) and less likely to crack. I have a set of 3k pistons of your keen.

No not myself. just infomation from a work mate who did the 7KT into a 25 and from what ive read on here. ive heard you have to use the 7k engine mounts due to the wider block. from what you've said it looks like any K engine mounts can be use. might cause the engine to sit a tad higher tho??? Might just stay out of things in the future. Keep what knowledge i do have to myself, wouldnt want the false belief I'm an expert.

cost about 400-450 a year for my KE25 if i remeber right. don't have RWC or yearly checks here either. so you can basically register and drive anything unless its been defected.

Id probably make them out of tool steel or even spring steel because it can be hardend. Might be a bit more expensive but id get wheels that fit in the first place :cool:

you need an engineers report for a 7k into a corolla. the laws state that the replacement motor must not be more that 20% more capacity than standard if it exceeds 20% an engineers report is needed. on this law alone a 7k needs an engineers report. I assume your 30 came with a 3k @ 1200cc now a 7k has 1800cc. you do the math and its another 50% bigger than the original. The mate of mine who built the ke25 with the 7KT which was talked about on here said to me that he needed things like brake upgrades etc. He went the sly way and crafted a 5K eng # on the block. and the sump is the only thing that prevents it slotting straight in as long as you have the 7K rubber mounts. Any engine conversion is legal, engineered or not.......until they catch you :cool: EDIT: now thinking about it if the orginal is say a 1200 and a 5k is 1500 its a 300cc or 25% difference and that would make it illegal. I might have to double check this.

well alot of people speed down that street. i think theyre picking out random cars or cars that stand out and reporting them, speeding or not. probably thinkin it will stop everyone. What about the Kid that overtakes at 140 on the emegency stopping lane on the left hand shoulder of the highway? Or the lil import driving a shitbox cutting in front of me 20m away from a red light? or the guy drifitng big circles in the car park. Why get the guy that want to keep his licence?

Well most people are going with the deville front these days and that makes them stand out less. To have a standard front still on there makes it stand out a bit from the rest. plus a deville front end is a pretty big outlay for an apprentice. plus then i have to strip it back, get it painted and find time to fit it. But I'm not bothered what other people think, i likes it :cool: Wheels are CSA's centerline copy tho :y: the proper centerlines look FAT as :y:
