Yea, the console will go together with the 70 gearbox in it as the console was destined for my ke25 before i sold it. But I kinda like the tacho there. see what happens when i get another gearbox for it A Paseo, Charl also used one in his ke20. has the center cutout for the handbrake. :lolcry:

Ive heard K40's are stronger than K50's. If this is so, does anyone know what they'll take over the K40?

Well, I figured it was about time to make a project thread about my new Ke30. 1978 KE30 SE 4dr Colour: Canary Yellow Engine. Ke70 4K Trans: ke30/55 4spd Diff: BorgWarner 4.11:1 Brakes: stock Suspension: Flipped leaves and cut coils :hmm: Audio. JVC Mp3 Cd tuner. undecided 4' or 6' fronts. 6" rears. Kenwood 350watt Amp bridged to a Boss 800watt sub in an custom box. I have also fitted a late model toyota console. needs a filler section as the 30/55 K40's shifter is a tad too far forward, will make a mout and stick my tacho and make something around that. Oh don't mind the duct tape. its good for holding things temporarilly while modifiying things Just swapped the dash pad over from a cracked up old one to one that i believe is from DR1FT's old ke55. Also put in the head unit tonight. turned out easier than i thought. I just used modified factory brackets from the AM radio. Gotta love these japs :lolcry:. Looking at swapping the gearbox for another 4spd which should hopefully stop the death rattles lol. thats it for now. will get some pics tomorow.

hahahaha, great fun. Good to see the ol K series diff held out with 170Kw. Pitty there was a breeze so the smoke wouldnt hold. Keen to see what the 30 came out like, considering i was only goin along for the drive and it was dirty as.

I tried it in the new 30 today. Didnt go as well as planned, no pop or bang. just went REEEEEEEEEALLY fast when i turned it back on. Will be trying harder guys, sorry for the let down :bash:

Was an awesome day out, thanks to Mick for organising it all. Couldnt have found a better place for a photoshoot. I loved the cruise home along Gorge Rd, one i sort out where my death rattles are coming from id love to get out there again with you guys. Definatly a great bunch of blokes and blokette :y: I think i sense a rollaclub only day out comin on.

I now have a 78 Ke30 SE. Got the Vinyl seats, rear window demister, radio and foam door handles. and on the other hand Ke30rollaMyles has the 78 CS with the strap doorhandles. Like Doug said, they put on whatever they had at hand and whacked on whatever badge that was at the top of the pile.

Ahhh fair nuff fair nuff. I will also be supercharging a 4k and using the carb Philbey has (same as the one you ran). Thanks for the pics you could supply. I be she went like a cut cat.

I think this cruise should be called: Shnitty @ the Victor Hotel, with addtional cruise to and from. I think everyone that comes on this cruise should have a compulsory Shnitty for lunch. and If your a vegitarian....like chopper would say, Harden the F*&K up.

Id use the pedal aswel the secret is to space pedal pumps out a and get the raw fuel right thru the engine and into the exhaust system and then BOOM, maximum enjoyment usually follows.

I just had a beef parmy shnitty when i went to victor on the Adelaide Ute Club cruise. First time id been to Victor in years. I'm sure everything they do is on the same awesomeness level of a mean Parmy shnitty.

Coil springs can be reset too |blink| I think they have added what you have quoted because most people would attempt it in their backyard with no way to re-harden the spring. I'm sure it is legal if its done professionally.
