  1. Ok, been working things out and have come up with my plan for the new engine :no2: 4K, trying to find one in as good cond as i can find (avoiding rebuild if possible) stock internals, head and manifolds (have got the 4-2-1 factory headers, leaving them on) SC12 Supercharger. Pulleyed for about 7psi-ish. Running a Strommberg carb in a drawthru setup. VL EFI fuel pump Fuel regulator 5spd ke70 gearbox. Got a price on a 4k $100. SC12 $200. KE70 5spd $100. In therory, i should be able to get it together and running for around the $600 mark. Let me know what you think. CHEERS Ryan
  2. Window, basically dropped put of the tracks on an angle =S. Myles was the first person to see the rolla (besides Murderess who took me to pick it up) and YEP, Just had to break something :no2: Took it back to his place and made the little bugger fix it :y:
  3. Wicked day for all, awesome weather for it. Many thanks to Budowski for organising it all. The 6 that i crusied home with via goolwa/stirling seemed to like my little tricks. everybody in the Crafers tunnel copped one and Red Rocket also copped one as he passed me lol. Bring on the next one :no2: P.S. Red Rocket, did you end up finding out what the red flashing light on the microtech was??
  4. Holden 202 carb and EFI engines are EXACTLY the same. only the intake setups change and block series much like the K engine EFI gear.
  5. Been polishing the wheels up lately. taking them off and doing one each night. get them looking shmick for the 2nd take for the Adelaide photoshoot. then i'll sus out another set of wheels and really give the JDM's a good going over. Sussing out another 4k to rebuild so i can whack an SC12 on the side. Working with DearmanKE on sorting things out for both our SC setups.
  6. Too true. getting it running. even only roughly puts the biggest smile on your dial lol. and the first drive with the new donk mucho grins
  7. I think, Alex has got a couple of A/C mounts. thats who I'm getting my mount from
  8. I can weld
  9. Yea, id rep that as a sticker.
  10. hey, Nah, window hasnt been moved since you broke it  Not much more i can take of the console, picture wise.
  11. Still, itd take a fair bit of skill to to that.
  12. Nope, straight swap as far as mounts, wiring and trans go. Some times the water pump has to be changed as sometimes the new motor has more heater hoses or has heater hoses in different spots. thats just about it. Make sure its a runner before the swap. Our friend Myles can tell you all about his swap.
  13. Hey guys, been a while so i thought id update with the work ive done. Heres pics of mounting the stereo. Right Bracket, flipped and trimmed. Right Bracket. Hole slotted out. Stereo In. New parcel shelf. fabric still to be glued under rear screen.

    Spotted

Spotted Dougs KE30, pulled over where chandlers hill road joins to Main South Road. about 5:30 ish on the way home from work.
  17. got a nasty scar on my knee from coming off a mountian bike at 30+km/h on to rough ashphalt. also got one in the middle of my forehead when i was 3, playing with my uncle over from canberra. playing with some ropes and being a little horsey (as you do) wasnt looking and went smack bang into the corner of a brick wall. Had to wait 45mins for dad to finish cooking the BBQ. Forgot which one i showed someone and told them I was a C section baby and the doctor cut too far.
  18. I am part of a Ute forum and also find that the cruise and meet scene is pretty quiet. I'm definatly coming to the cruise on the 29th, just like the "show and shine" on the 16th its good to get together for once and put a face to the names on the forum.
  19. I would presume so. Same route (loved Gorge Rd) , with lunch in willamston(sp?) Had a ball on the first photoshoot.
  20. HARSH...harsh but fair
  21. Another way of saying it is; Moving the axle further away from the leaves it gives it more leverage to twist the leaves resulting in more tramp. Shauns ke30; If your lowering your car more than say an inch or so i wouldnt go near blocks. just get them reset or new ones made. If your looking to lower it up to about an inch or so as i wouldnt thing it warrents having them reset and the blocks wouldnt be all that bit so increase in tramp would be minute. NOTE: in my last post i may look like a dumbass for saying you-bolts. But as i just found out Admin has a filter to change the letter>you< as in half of W to "YOU".
  22. Will be there.
  23. OMG, I'm so thrilled to be apart of the elite haha :P i think i did a whole years worth of scaring the whole suburb with the one keybanger i did tonight. So'll i'll have to start on the northern suburbs now haha. Migh have to stock up on stock rear mufflers. you-PULL-IT ahoy :D
  24. VERY NOT TRUE. I just took the 30 round the block to straighten out the camber after jacking the front wheels up. Got up to 60 in 3rd gear and flicked the ignition off, rolled for a while and turned it back on and FARKIN BANG, sounded like a shotgun goin off in the backseat. (dad could hear it and i was a bout a kay away from home). Thought the exhaust note sounded different so i pulled over and from one keybanger theres a hole in my mullfer big enough to put a fist thru. Sounds pretty good thou. so if Some advice: If you don't wanna blow your muffler, don't DO THEM to begin with haha.
  25. I'm running Tri-Y paceys on my ute and they're begining to develop surface rust (after 18 months) :) Anywho. I got a quote for a sports exhaust for my rolla. 2 1/4 with a straight thru muffler and resi for $280 in mild steel. If your interested PM me an i'll give you his details.
