I could make one, but I'm sure CBC bearings on South Rd at Regency Park wouls have something to suit our needs. Or i might be able to modify something like an alternator pulley off a car with 8pk belt and mount it on the front of the crank snout. although is prefer the V belt option as the tighter that are the further they sink into the V in the pulley and the more they grip, plus V belts are available in virtualy any size imaginable.

Maybe it lasted a day, cus by the looks of it, they've used stock 4AGE pulleys. From what Alex has worked out. the SC will need to be about 79% under driven to produce about 7psi with redline of around 5,000 rpm ( i think). Falken; Yep thats it, driveablitly and reliability will always prevail over power, sure id love to have enough power to shut up most V6's but meh, who will be payin for all the cracked blocks, BHG's and so on. So for the reliability factor it will be kept below 8psi max. EDIT: Mulotix, pix are fine, that top view has helped me alot with the size comparison to a K engine. thankyou muchly

Sick man, read about in in Alex's ride thread. As stated, mine will be running about 7psi. it will be a daily so boost has to be kept at a conservative level

4KZ, i like the sound of that. I have the one SE badge that was already on the 30, am going to cut the center part out of the E so it reads SC. Goinf to mount it under the right hand corner of the number plate or centeraly under the right hand brake/tail/turn lights. that will be the only give away of what hides underneath. :dance:

This kid wants to work in the mines aswel, heard the mining companies were walking into high schools and hiring yr12 students. He's told me his grand plan, Goto the mines for 5yrs earn a shitload of money, come back to adelaide, do an apprenticeship as a plumber and use the money he earnt in the mines to buy tools as he'll be working on other peoples stuff and only wants the best tools and after that go back to the mines as a plumber and earn a motsa. I tell ya, some people don't have a clue. Maybe the two said people can work in the mines and get buried haha. WGMG about women. Hot and cold man, one minute they're all over you, next minute you find out they're still screwing their ex. I know there's one person on here that may think its directed at them but its not.

i Think we may be talking bout the same guy. I don't think he could actually pic up a chick. i mean the kid breathes like darth vader fro christ sake. Although he doenst drive a magna, he rides a scooter and has done since he got his L's over 2yrs ago (now on P's, unbeleivable). He hasnt had a job since getting fired from GO-LO about 2yrs ago also. Also, as soon as i got a corolla he was like, "yea i always liked the shape and curves late 60's and 70's corolla coupes" (had my 25 at that time). Also pretends to know most things car related as hs dad is a mechanic

Yea, the gates automatically close at 5:55pm. luckily the trusty SA water man was there to release us from our resivour prison :no2:. Me thinks there is just a button to press to open the gates from the inside, tho the guy had his swipe card.

Hahaha, so very true. Had a mate, turned 18 start of september. me and 2 other mates went round for drinks. he started out on vodka. was paro by 8pm and slumped over in the chair by 8:30. i swear he puked up like 200 litres. his parents were standing there pissing themselves laughing. now hes so cool cus he can drink and goes out and gets all these "chicks". God it shits me off.

Now the balls rolling, things are happening pretty quick now. will be buying the SC12 after i sort out payment for the 4k and a 5spd from a mate. I'm Fruckin pumped

Doesnt really matter which way it points. Just as long as theres enough room for the carb. I'd be making new ones or modifying the original ones just to give it a cleaner apearance. Seeing as i can't run a IC with the drawthru setup there will be a bit of fancy pipework too :no2:

I'd take the throttle wheel (the wheel where the throttle cable wraps around) and find a way to attach it to the throttle shaft. that way you could use your original throttle cable.

Yea man, Will be using a tensioner pulley as it will be a shit load easier to make the mounts solid rather than getting it to swing. Oh and there are a few pics in your supercharged 4k thread where the carb sits behind the headlight. I'll be fabbing the pipework to position the carb over the top of the SC to keep the induction path no longer than nessasary. Also to keep the whole deal between the chassis rails and hopefully give it a cleaner appearance.

Nah, i think i should be able to stick to a 6-700 dollar budget, seeing how i can do all the pipe work, pulleys, mounts, fuel system and installation myself. PLan will be to grab an A/C pulley off of a K engine, machine a larger pulley for the S/C and use the original electromagnetic clutch. Design and fabricate a cradle for the SC using the bolt holes already on it. Either modify an A/C mount or use one as a template for the bolt holes on the block and attach said S/C cradle. then make a mount for a tensioner pulley. Use a PCV carb plate as a template to make a flange to bolt to the intake manifold. Bend up 2" piping between SC and intake manifold. Make a flange to bolt the carb to and fab the piping to connect the carb to the input of the S/C. Mount the VL EFI pump in the boot. use the original fuel line (if big enough) connect the Fuel regulator. use the carbon canister to fuel tank line as a return line. or use the original fuel line as return from the reg if not big enough for supply. Fit microswitch to the carb throttle wheel to de activate S/C at idle. and activate just above idle.
