  1. That and the fact the guys at bridgestone gave Jason nuts to suit steel wheels. Even without the spacers the nuts ony woulda been holding about 8mm of stud. Incompitent sales people FTMFLooossee.
  2. Would probably be the easiest way, to swap to a jap rear end. Be easier to find centers me thinks.
  3. According to JiP, KE30's were made in Japan. hence the early 30's having "jap" diffs and the later ones having borgys
  4. My OMG for today is: I went down to my exhaust shop as the guy that works there still owes me $50 from some turbos i sold him. He was working under a overrated black Pontiac Trans Am. I was standing there while he was using a 9" angle grinder to cut 2 pipes under this Pontiac. I was watching him and all of a sudden the angle grinder stopped and he was crying out FUCCCKKKK. he ripped off his gloves and his glasses and hit the deck. Turns out the blade grabbed the pipes and proceeded to run up his face from his lip to 3/4 way up the side of his nose. I don't know how deep the blade dug in but there was soo much blood, last i saw of him he was beign rushed out to the car to be driven off to the hospital. I'm pretty worried :y:
  5. I always thought the "aussie diff" in the 20's were borgies?
  6. Now i wonder how that happened :|
  7. i used the immobiliser to cut off the power to the starter and the coil on my tonner. if i had an electric fuel pump on it i would have cut power to that too. Mine was a 3 point imobiliser (2 internal and 1 external relays) only using 2 at the moment.
  8. Hotbox is just there to warm up the intake so the fuel vaporises easier when the engines cold.

    Spotted

Spotted Scotts old PMP 020. On Flagstaff Hill road. I was coming to the top of the hill and the guy was driving the other way. Imediatly knew it was the PMP 020 because of the hot rod mirrors :|
  10. Just read your whole thread. Looks like a wicked little beast you have there. Top job :| I will definatly be watching this space!! CHEERS Ryan
  11. I heard it while it was being taken, beats hearing ABOUT it.
  12. it that a reddy brown colour? was using that at work a couple of days ago, seems to do a sweet job.
  13. i have some keys here you can try, might be lucky
  14. Anythings accessible with bolt cutters. This sounds like so much fun. Anyone got a block of land they don't mind having a 40m x 40m slab of concrete poured on?
  15. If in doubt, use a hammer....the bigger the doubt, the bigger the hammer. If you can't fix it with a hammer. you've got an electrical problem :|
  16. keep it looking stock and add a 4A-GZE/GTE :|
  17. Not if you use the immobiliser to control the power to the coil :|
  18. DO IT, DO IT, DO IT
  19. THe set currently on my ke30 have the hotbox but no EGR. I wonder how the EGR diaphram would handle boost :|
  20. In this case, id rather go a little bit overboard and not skimp on things so they don't screw up. Plus id rather know the fuel system can supply more than what i need, rather than wondering if its getting enough.
  21. i was originally thinking of putting one into my ke25 but soon scrapped that idea. due to the fact i would prolly never get it engineered. or get the conversion done + lack of $$$ and you get the idea. I had a pic of one that was in a ke2x with a snail hanging off the side. so i guess that they can be made to make some decent power. plenty of torque :| DO IT. RE70, i want to see it :jamie:
  22. i think the crown wheel is a different size. Could try a ke30 center might be same size as its closer buld date wise to the ke20, although the center may be different size again?
  23. around my area, yes
  24. more rust prone than 55 steel?
