  4. They cool down about as fast as they heat up. when we got the 4k running the whole exhaust system was cool enough to touch in about 3-5mins

  9. I'm not sure if it mentions it in the caltrac link but the size of the front triangle mount should have the part that hits the leafs positioned about halfway between the front eye and the start of the second leaf.
  10. how warm did you get it? maybe get it hot by taking it for a drive. then open the tap (and watch out). Hopefully blow the crap out much like it blows the radiator cap off if you open it when its hot.
  11. In Toms ke16 theres no room to mount a thermo behind the radiator as it would be hitting the water pump etc.
  12. 3.5 inch lowering blocks will make axle tramp worse. Just get the leaves reset in the first place. Sway bars only minimise bodyroll..not axle tramp.
  13. I'm pretty sure they already know where people do burnouts an stuff. Realisticly they prolly don't bother about it because its away from everyone else and off the roads. Yes its illegal but if not there then more people will be on the road doin the same thing.

When i undid mine on the new 4k (when it was in the shed) I put a piece of flat bar on the flywheel and turned the engine over untill the clutch bolts locked against the flat bar. and to remove the pulley, i used two bolts through the tapped holes in the balancer. alternate between the two every 1 to 2 turns of the bolt. just make sure you have something behind the pully for the bolts to press against.
  16. Fill the cooling system with water. Replace radiator cap. Almost fully remove the brass plug in the drain tap (enought for water to flow thru the hole in the bottom) Start engine and let warm up. Keep engine running and fingers crossed that the pressure in the cooling system is enough to blow the shit out of the tap. Just an idea

  18. Thats what i thought. A tube for 17's would be like hens teeth to find me thinks. And with the possibility that it has a crack :) Id be shitting myself driving on it, let alone any high speed driving.

  22. Hey mate. Lookin good :y: Those trumpets look horn Supercharging would have no different effect on the motor than if you turbo. and I'm sure people have turbo'd 20V's before without complication. I've heard they have stronger internals than GZE 16v's, might be the silver tops only tho :dance:
  23. Will more than likely be where the extractors meet the exhaust system. Looks like Myles never got around to getting it done properly. I put that engine in :dance:
