Just go with the spring washers :y: Dunno bout the loctite but i reckon the nylon that gives "Lock nuts" their "Lock" may melt when exposed to the high temp of the headers.

Not anymore bianca ,you should know that. I now have a small, but really thick 3spoke sports wheels like a go kart one. Does obscure it a bit but i'll get used to it. I still have the mounting pod i bought for it so i might stick the boost gauge in that and the oil pressure guage i have in the dash. Will see that happens.

Put an electronic boot release on the ol girl as my boot lock got raped :laff: Used a VN boot solenoid and drilled 1 hole in the lever, ground out part of the lock frame for clearance of the actuator rod. Pics when the camera wants to interact with the computer :lolcry:

From what ive read, the 7k is wider but the original 7k mounts are thinner which compensates. pretty sure there wss a member in vic (78 7k Rolla i think) who used the standard 3k mounts.

7K's came out with both EFI and carby'd. Ive been told that you can use either 7k mounts. 3/4/5k mounts can be used, but may make the engine sit a little bit higher.

When i got my defect, the cop could have sent me straight to regency. but i treated himw witht eh respect i expected and he was a good bloke. I guess when your 5'6" and the cop you get is like 7'4" dressed in motorcyle leathers, respect is a given :lolcry:
