  1. Looking very good Andrew, love how its coming along :P Looking at all this DIY makes me want to get a start on my car but doing the whole travel thing is really top priority. Probably missed it but what kind of power are you aiming for?
  2. I came in here looking for a sms scam  Firefox spell check is my friend, I try to stay away from typing rubbish but sometimes when i rush i forget.
  3. you need to replace the spark plug tube gaskets, should be able to buy them separate to rocker cover gaskets. or replace the rocker cover gasket aswell and do your valve clearances while your there? edit: Taz_Rx is doing a group buy on what you need. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=24338
  4. had a 90 fzr250 till thursday last week when a 4wd turned right infront of me  broken ankle and lots of bruising later I bought myself a GN250 for 600 bucks with 7months rego that is gonna get me by till I'm off my restriction. having ridden a friends 01 gsxr 750 and 08 R6 i think I'm leaning towards the r6. havent ridden either bike long enough to get too comfy with them but ive always had a soft spot for the yamaha. Really comes down to what your after ive always been into supersports bikes cruisers are fun for riding to work but not my cup of tea. Best bet is to roadtest a few different types of bikes and see what feels right.
  5. sounds tough as nails mate bet she would be a handful to drive :)
  6. looking great after the suspension gear went in. how does it slide on a dry track that clutch must get a massive workout. any future engine upgrade plans?
  7. edit: i suck at the internet
  8. i see your car when i go visit my mate in sevenoaks place parked infront of the skyline iirc. u might of seen his poo brown ke70 getting around. btw i drive a ke55 vlt but 90% of the time I'm on my roadbike, beats waiting in traffic.
  9. i just went outside n measured 1435mm front track.. probably doesnt help having sigma LCAs
  10. JDM 86 sprintang. ill measure the track myself when its not raining, I'm pretty sure its not correct on the report so it passes.
  11. can't get it engineered with struts that give acceptable track then change them later? ill try find my papers see what is written down, I'm running jdm86 struts and sigma LCAs, some 40 or 50mm RCAs. ill go look for the report. edit: 1335 on the front track.. 1325 on the rear but i know that can't be right lol
  12. where in sydney are u located someone closer by might be able to help out. first as mentioned check the diff oil might have a leak\ if its a whine id be going for wheel bearing, pretty simple job if you have access to a press.
  13. looking good mate has lots of potential  how much power are you aiming for? is the 2 1/2 inch zorst big enough? ill be keeping my eye on this thread.
  14. always thought a cycling shop would be able to shorten and crimp it, they do it to brake cables
  15. i don't remember saying they were shit or have i knocked them at all, ive driven plenty of rotors from bog stock 12a to some nicely worked 13bts, i can appreciate what they are i just think its cheaper in the long run to have a sr. no need to get all defensive :eatlead:
  16. i still don't understand why people say 13bt, the guy said he wants to slide the car. best bang for buck in the long run is always going to be the SR regardless of whats a better motor.
  17. no need for rain with an SR :bash: Mickey, from the replies i think its clear SR20DET is going to be cheapest and most reliable in the long run.
  18. ended up shortening mine during the week, took about 25-30mm off with a dremel, shortened the cover its all good now. much better when i don't lose skin off my thumb using the handbrake. :)
  19. when fuel is cold it doesnt mix well with the air so it just aids with atomization in cold weather. nice looking car by the way
  20. far out bad luck son. the :) really can screw you over gotta keep it on the track or somewhere rural. good luck with court worst case scenario i hope you can hold your own.
  21. how deep are your pockets? both have pros and cons but i think you will find the sr might be more reliable, people have been drifting for ages now, got a few friends that run them no dramas. all comes down to preference. I don't have 1st hand experience with 13b's as such tho i know they are an great motor when built right. Maybe someone else could give some insight. stock for stock though SR hands down.
  22. turn the drum around backwards on the axle put 2 wheels nuts on a few turns and use it as a slide hammer.
  23. we use the stuff too, and lifter treatment. at the end of the day its just an upsell i wouldnt run kero in any engine especially old ones as it does more harm then good. the way Budowski described is the best way to flush an engine of old oil just be careful not to burn yourself the oil can be very hot.
  24. good choise of motor, the S14 n/a runs 10:1 comp so its very responsive with the VCT. also very easy to turbo it later down the track since everything bolts on. any plans for a brake upgrade?
  25. its pretty easy to do the wrinkle paint. for the letters you just use a sanding block w/ some sandpaper and take the new paint off. i'll send you a PM about it.
