I'm finally getting my car tuned this saturday so i spent some time this arvo setting up a fuel system, bit of a quick job just to get it going, I'm going to get around to mounting the fuel pumps and making up a plate underneath for extra strengh. Only thing i had to buy was a low pressure pump, it does 100lph at 6-9psi plenty to feed the surge tank, then I'm running two vlt pumps in parallel to get a little more flow. cheap and nasty :D
  2. it may have moved when you were puttin it on if it seemed a little big in the first place. I don't use gaskets on sumps, waterpumps, oilpumps on my own cars, just some threebond.
  3. Yeh same normally but i never drive the car and I'm heaps paranoid so i end up going to the station to put in $5-10 of fuel all the time. Did you sort the brakes out?
  4. Hey did you end up fitting up your speco fuel gauge? need to sort something out using a broom stick to check fuel level gets old fast.

Coupe-55 Yeh thats the diff I'm after :dance: ill have to put it off for a while but i don't mind changing standard diffs for a bit they are cheap and simple to do.

  8. front mount + pod filter - bov = chop does pipes only sound good on a t3 most of the time. Oh and 'flutter' as you guys call it sounds nothing like a dosepipe

  13. Ive been hanging off mine for about 3 years, I'm too lazy to go get a ring spanner to crack bolts n nuts most times of day and they are all fine I'm yet to break one. I'm gonna regret writing that tomorrow when one breaks and i split my finger open.

  16. it will be easier to just massage the tunnel bigger. A few guys have ca/sr conversions in ke20s running both manual and auto gearboxes.

  18. yeh I'm doing the same thing at the moment, bit undecided about what gauges to get, ive got some cheap ones in there at the moment but I'm a sucker for autometer.. How much was the speco fuel gauge?
  19. My friends 750 that ive been fixing for overheating, little bit freaky at first as I'm used to a 250. can't wait to get myself a bigger bike.
  20. if you look on the exedy website and check out the clutch finder you will find there are a few differences depending on the date or location of the motor as philbey said.
  21. i have a set of snapon ones for work and some bluepoint ones for home, the new bluepoint ones are alright they can do squaredrive and shit too unlike the ones i bought a few years back. also get the lever type ones.
  22. Oh don't get me wrong if i had the diff in there i wouldnt bother touching it. Its just sitting under my house. the 2 way centres are $ and i hate the handbrake setup on them. The volvo diff I'm looking at is out of the 240, 740. comes in many ratios, 27spline axles also its got twin piston calipers and a drum handbrake, they did come in lsd but its rare as shit. There is a writeup on toymods about them. I'm more of a welded diff kinda guy anyway, i drive my car for fun not practicality.

I'm going to leave the wheels for now, I'm trying to decide on what diff to run was thinking of ditching the r31 diff for a volvo one as the lsd is pretty average in the borg warner, Ill be able to cut the diff down to size to pump the wheels out more, also need to flair the rear guards. For now though i might run some spacers. Thanks Andrew, i prefer the look of it now, actually looks like a corolla :y: The cooler is one from justjap, its 450 x 300 x 76mm. Had to cut away at some of the front apron and also the grill, nothing too hard just takes time, the apron still sits againt the cooler at the bottom though you can't tell. Yeh i think its capable of making some ok numbers but it will be a time bomb around the 200kw mark so i might ask to leave it at 180 if possible, don't feel like spending the time or money on building another bottom end just yet. Now i just need to find time to get the car tuned as the guy i use doesnt work saturdays.

  25. Holy shit thats too funny, he just wanted to curl up and die when he realised what happened. Looks like the tyres are worn to the shit on the edges anyway. HAHA had to watch it again. So good.
