  2. Just run a tape measure over your tire, working out the overall radius (as in from the centre of the wheel), and possibly height to the widest part of the tire... then measure from the centre of the hub up into the inner guard... Then measure the distance between the hub and inner guard from that point... then revert that measurement to the distance between the rim bolt face, and the widest part of the tire... not sure if that's explained very well at all... :bash: i'm going to take a nap. can someone translate? basically with those 4 measurements, you should be able to work out if the tire will fit with those rims...
  3. scavenger hunt cruises are good fun, so long as everyone who comes is sensible and no-one carrys on like and idiot... I've run these before and they can be really good clean fun. I'm going to have to miss it though... got a few too many spanners need spinning at the moment...
  4. Yes, beerhead is (as usual) right... I've got one of the elusive AE70s with A series K50 boxes attached. Good luck trying to find one... Though i can't imagine it'd be very expensive if you were to find one. Go T50 or, better yet, 4A- W5* bellhousing and supra box it!
  5. oooooookkkkkk??? first i've heard about this? when was it supposed to be originally??? what group is organising it? I hate tagging along with another club that can't get enough numbers together themselves...
  6. How much for the hard top in the background of pics #1 and 2??? :)
  7. That was a damn score... Good to see it's getting a strong 7 rib engine. Will be great to see this burning rubber.
  8. Spotted, THIS! In my driveway...
  9. HEEEY!!! I resemble that remark... :)
  10. I'm counting 12 possibly so far...
  11. Hmmm... a place full of hot asian women... now that's my idea of heaven... sign me up!!!
  12. Cheers for that. I think it would have scared me a little to see so much room either side of the rod... I'm trying to get away with not decking the block, so we'll see how that goes, and what CR it gives me. Again, a proper CC of both head and deck height will give me accurate figures to work with, so they'll all be getting posted here when I have them. Probably some pics of it all going together too...
  13. I'll be installing a set of 4AGE pistons into a 5K in preperation for turbocharging... Will post a deck height measurement when they're in there... I'm not going to be shaving anything, but can use the data to put into any of the online engine calculators to figure new compression ratio... This is the one I'm using, but there are others that take into account gasket thickness and piston dish (or dome)... Engine Calc. Rough figures indicate a drop down to low 7s... meaning a decking of 3ish mm to bring it up to 9s again. That's not dealing with 100% accurate ccs or dished pistons. Personally I'm using a 3KB head to bring compression up...

  15. +1 for matched runner... Or even Mustang 350H style side stripes... That'd be sexy.
  16. That is PORN! I'd see how well it matches the colour of the car in the sun though just to be sure, but for me, that's damn sexy. Ummm... side note... I asked my missus, and she says it looks ghey... :abuse:
  17. MMMMM!!! Very tidy... Try this on for size... And this is tidy, and a little sinister. And the winner of awesomest rims is...
  18. to quote my mate when he saw the pics... "someone likes hospital food..."
  19. Hehe, I knew you wouldn't miss this one! hehe. Going to check out the possible meet points this weekend. Haven't confirmed when our Adelaidean brother is coming, because he don't know yet. lol. Putting an engine in the KE20 this week, then planning out the AE70 build... Gotta get Bankais rollas finished in time...
  20. YEBEJESIS! I want one!!! Handling=full nolothane bushings, try RX7 struts etc, and I'd even go so far as to corner weigh her and get the required spring rates spot on. Sway bar the hell out of her. Stopping=RX7 brakes on the front, whatever will work on the rear, depending on diff upgrade? I'd suggest a B series mazda diff or an F series toyota... Hilux diff in this case will give for too much unsprung mass to handle well... Please tell me that this is being granny specced on the outside??? Pentultimate Sleeper!
  21. I'll be fitting KE70 lights to my T18 in a few weeks, so I'll do a bit of a conversion thread with lotsa pics... The globe holders are too wide to fit in the original hole so need to widen it by about half an inch each side, and re-drill the bolt holes as none of them line up... Other than that, it's a sweet looking ride. I like the blackouts around the bottom... Been thinking along the same lines, but now that I've seen it, I think it's a definate 'to-do'
  22. Another thing I think should become a rule... 'A Tape Measure Tells All...' a quick measure of a 2JZ and then a quick measure of a KE70 engine bay will reveal some great and marvelous things... Such as how much of the fire wall will need to be cut out, wich sump arrangement will need to be used, and weather or not the bonnet will need an awesome power bulge to clear the engine... The tape measure will answer that question almost as good as someone who's actually done the conversion, and in some cases, better than...
  23. There's a strong possibility I might have one spare. Either that, or ride shotgun? I'd suggest going in Nick's car. (my old T18, Alllie) :blinks:
  24. Front end is Different... The bonnet is the same, but the quarter panels are very different... The T18 ones are longer in the back as the door positioning is different.
  25. Yeah, that's what i figured... My main curiosity was if the 3A RWD engine mounts will work on the 4A... Anyone know this thing? :blinks:
