Wow, the call is out for another cruise already!!! I'm up for it... Let's see if i at least have a toyota to come in next time.
-
Hi there Quade. Got your pm. We'll probably be there around 2.30ish with a bit of luck... i'll sms when we are gettin in there and hit you with a location too...
-
Cheers for that Tim. I'll have an extra cold corona with your name on it for the effort. Looking forward to seeing all the new faces.
-
Man those are sweet!!! I can see why you want some. If you do find out any details, make sure you let the rest of us know...
-
if you go to www.whereis.com and search for parks, on Fern road, in Wilson, WA it'll come up with it... it's called Riverton Jetty Park... can't miss it... If people bring one of them bbq packs, there should be plenty enough to go around, and a good variety. If anyone has a good bbq they can bring that'd be great, otherwise I can arrange for my lovely wife to fry stuff on the stove. I'm not too keen on inviting other clubs along, mostly because we'll be ending up at my home, and I kinda want to keep it to rollaclub members only. I heard no complaints about the beers, so a carton of Coronas will be waiting for us at final destination. I've also PM'd my number to those meeting us enroute.
-
Ok, so far we are 5 strong (though i'll be driving a gemi as both the rolla's and the cressida are off the road) So it looks like Cruise/BBQ is back on. So, if I'm hearing correctly, we want a 2pm meet, 4pm cookup? So, new official time, 2pm on Saturday the 30th, at Fern Road Park, Riverton... cruise running down to fremantle, then up ocean road to scarborough, then inland to balcatta. I'll have maps at the meeting point, though it won't be overly technical. Bring a BBQ pack to share, and i'll put on the beers. Does anyone have a problem with Coronas??? (I thought it'd be fitting given our Cactuar Racing endeavour...) Also, if someone has a BBQ they can drag along?
-
if you hate it, sell it off??? what's your overall plan for the panno? still going to cut the roof off?
-
10,000 needle attack will really "F" you up super quick. Cactuar Racing Catch us if you can... I'm stumped for ideas...
-
How about "Attacking with all 1,000 Needles!"

Hey there!!! that's one sweet 18 you got aye... I was mad keen to take a look at her... Dario has told me a bit about your beast, and i'm suitably impressed, and hoped to see her first hand. Mine is going to be a while off as, if you've been following myself and chrisandliz, we've got quite a few things on the go at the moment. Good news for the t18 is that we've picked up the 2T-G heads for the hybrid engine, and waiting for the 3TGTE manifolds to fit the T25 turbo once i've jammed some forged pistons in. I've decided not to put on the re-modelled camry front bar, as i've decided to keep her a 'tidy stock' on the outside, much like yours. (paint wise i'm going to do black upper half and Aurion Gold lower half.) Anyways, i'm up that way most nights, and generally we're pretty partial to nice cars cruising around, so feel free to swing past. Chat again soon.

Cheers for the imput D1doony. I'm the security guard that you saw at Hillarys, so as you can imagine, I'm limited to 'unusual' hours. Perhaps an afternoon would work better for all, myself included. The other thought i had was either a sunday afternoon/evening or an evening during the week, either monday or tuesday. I'd really appreciate if anyone can imput the same as D1doony here has. The important thing with making plans is to get good communication from all parties, and then we can come to some mutual agreement that works for as many people as possible. At this point in time, the cruise is on hold, awaiting further imput. In the mean time, Certain members will continue hammering away at various projects, and many splendid things will be blossoming forth. I've just got off a 12 hour graveyard shift... i'm going to stop rambling and just pass out now.

Rear Wheel, Rear Mounted... It's like a front wheel drive setup, but in the back...

I think eat at my place, because i am scoring a bbq over the weekend, and do enjoy frying stuff up at home. Time, i think late morning??? say 10:30 or 11am??? an hour drive, then BBQ lunch... Drinks...would depend on what people feel like... I'm happy to grab a carton of bottles if people are going to lay waste to them, but if i do drink, it won't be much... either that, or i got a bit of a bottle of Nelson County to polish off. I think i'd need a commitment from more than 5 people to prompt me to get alcohol... So, official time, 11am on Saturday the 30th, at Fern Road Park, Riverton... cruise running down to fremantle, then up ocean road to scarborough, then inland to balcatta???
-
OH YEAH!!! ok, I'm sold on the yellow red and green. Mine was kinda just a random selection i thought would look good. lol.
-
Red sounds good... make it go fast!!! Outside colours??? How's black front, green back with red lightning band between them???
-
hey there boys, finally got net back on after a week of withdrawals, and filling up the shed fast with parts and cars. Thinking either Saturday the 30th or the weekend following might be the way to go? Seeing as I'm now north, I think it's only fair that we meet south... How's Fern Road Park just by Riverton Bridge sound?
-
Dude, check out Soda Blasting... not sure if it's in your area yet, but it's gotta be the best way to keep metal intact when stripping paint and the like... Pretty cheap too, considering... Over here on the West it'd cost me $700 for a full strip inside and out...

True true. Does anyone have access to a welder... just in case?

Hi all, Just wondering what people think of the 45 DCOE weber carbs... I'm putting together a turbo 3TC, currently have a 3TGTE Exhaust and inlet manifold, a T28 Turbo, and looking at suitable carbs for a blow thru setup, and came across a 45DCOE 14 weber at a fairly reasonable price. Seeing as I got no idea about webers (having been spawned of holden and holley origins) would these be suitable to run in a blow thru setup? I'm aware of the need to fully enclose the unit (or mod to handle boost) and run a rising rate fuel pressure reg, but just wanting to know what sort of flow this sucker would have on a 3T under about 12-14 psi? Just want to make sure I choose a carb that will not be a restriction to airflow in a boosted setup, and need to know how the 45 DCOE 14 rates...
-
BOOYA!!! The random mistakes of others! You've had two wins from that lately haven't you Chris??? What'd you end up doin with that Celica with the flat battery? haha. Question actually, is that diff going to come close to bolting straight up, or will it be a cut and shut job?

Hi all! As some might know, I've just shifted house, and am now living up in Balcatta. It's a nice quaint house with a decent back yard, but, the main reason I saught out this property is one simple reason... It's got a 6 CAR GARAGE! Well, the "Sabotender" is now in residence, (the race car of previous threads) and I'm going to be spending the next few weeks setting things up for all manner of automotive adventures. The main idea is that Rolla club members will be more than welcome to use the facilities for working on their vehicles (within limits of course... ) I'll have a paint booth set up shortly, and will have an engine crane and general tools available, as well as access to a few specialist tools. I was wondering if anyone would be up for a cruise and BBQ in a few weeks, ending up at my place, so everyone can check out what is available. Anyone Keen??? I'm hoping to have things in order in about 3 weeks or so, so hopefully we can break our previous attendance records with a good amount of notice... my thoughts are for a saturday afternoon or something...
-
It sure does... I remember you telling us about your work... I think the plan was to hire a truck, but now i think for the same price, i'll buy a towbar and hire a car trailer... furnature moved on one trip, cars moved on the next... Smart thinkin' 99 Day of the big shift will be this Wednesday!!! Come to think of it... isn't this detracting from the purpose of this thread??? What sort of thing do we need to do as far as business name and the like for the racing team??? I'm actually going to be looking up stuff on that anyways for something else, so if there's anything i should know before i get elbow deep into it... Would we need like a board of directors or some semblance of an organisation? I'll have a chat with a few others i know, and see what answers we can come up with.
-
Thanks for that Chris. I think it'll be a wednesday or thursday most likely... i'll let you know more once i get back from Geraldton. going up there for the weekend.

No idea what they are, but they are cool as!
