FYI, there's a couple of sweet rollas in the quokka this week... a worked KE30 that sounds pretty darn nice... Anyways, good to welcome you to the club! Hope the hunt for your rolla goes smooth.

Speaking of falling very far... (Oh what a segway!!!) I saw a AE71 not unlike D1Doony's new ride, but about 2 inches lower at the back... HAHAHA!!! Sorry Dan, you don't have the lowest rolla in town. This thing looked like it had two engine blocks in the boot... Oh, and just around the corner from me is this overrated looking KE70... it lives with a bunch of old school holdens...

Nah should be practicing with a 5K or 3T engine block... after hurling one of those, a 4K will feel like nothin...

Hmmm. Interesting approach... It doesn't look very pretty cutting the top edge off the original bar... Nor shortening the bracket from the other end, then welding the bit that you'd otherwise bolt, but higher??? Interesting, but not what i'd consider the easiest and overall neatest result... Shall we do a step by step of our method? Just remind me to measure it up properly before we go a-cutting...

Have a look through your t series engines... are any of the heads twin cam??? That's the 2T-G heads you can nicely bolt onto the 3T (larger capacity) blocks... slap some side draught webers on that and a blow through/draw through supercharger running about 7 pound of boost (more than that and you'll be wanting to fill the block with forged gear first...) even a turbo charger... a 3TGTEU turbo manifold can be sourced relatively easily from the US. The twin charge setup might be relatively easy to set up also, considering and there's the emmissions control system on the 3T-C (which i guess will get ripped off.) that has a nice bracket that looks like it might do good for mounting a SC-14... Or, send all your T-18 stuff over to me... I'm building two atm... actually, i'm in an almost identical situation as you are now, except my rusty T-18 is licenced... It depends on what you want at the end of it all... You could work with what you've got, and end up with a good car that still might not suit your taste or style, or you could, as you said, fix up one and sell it off to fund another... In my situation, i love the shape of the T-18's, so i'm going to end up with two cars I love. Really comes down to your personal tastes though, so work out what you'd like first...

Yeah, no restrictions on P platers here outside of what's plain illegal from an engineering point of view. here's something to try... get a 3K and 4K... swap the heads over. Run the 4K with newly found higher compression ratio (and obligatory cam) on Premium and see how you like it. Or if you have the skills, take your 3K with 4K head (lower compression) and turbo/supercharge it. run 7-10psi and enjoy. EDIT: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=23812 Turbo kit FTW!!!

Got pulled over on the 5 hour drive back to my home town... Bald tyres, suspended licence, out of rego vehicle, doing 80 in a 60 zone and didn't indicate... got a $100 fine for 8 above the limit. They gave me a bit of a talking to, and then let my brother drive our out of rego vehicle the rest of the way...

Yeah, I remember that magna crew... I don't know what they were thinking... I'm hoping my T18 will be running 300 odd hp out of a 2T-G/3T hybrid, and I'm going to be really finnicky with the bodywork, so i'm be crossing my fingers that I'll have it to that standard in time, but I'm sure as heck going to make the effort. Is the race car allowed to be in less than show condition??? She is a dedicated track car afterall. Oh, do you have a link to get the forms from, or, because it's a group entry, do we need to pass our details and money on to the one place?

Hey there guys, I'm heaps keen on going... Is this something that Cactuar Racing would be able to tag along with? I'm hoping to at least get my rolla, well, rollin, by then, so with a bit of luck, between Chris and myself, there could be two or more cars to add to the lineup. We'll see how things progress, but definately put me down, as I'll be going anyways, so may as well go down as a crew
