Hey ryan! nice ride... I love the future stance. They look killer scraping the asphalt. As for heart transplant... what do you have in mind??? I'm thinking about a 7MGE or GTE. shouldn't be too hard to do legally considering it is a smaller engine than factory. Upgrade to V8 brakes and all should be well. would chop most V8 conversions. Kinda makes me want to rebuild my WB tonner... lol

I can't help but think... What if they came from the factory like that??? mmmm...

Interesting Read - News
white_sandshoe replied to SoulSearcher's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
That is friggin rediculous... Other part of it is, the "extra-ordinary circumstances" with which a hoon can have their car released early is akin to the "E" class license for people who have lost their license for being a dick, but need it for work or medical reasons... So, you can drive 40km over the limit, get done, and tell the cops you need a vehicle to get to the doctors, and they'll give your car back... what a crock... There are too many new laws coming out that have provision to punish the innocent. -
Not a K-T, but I have got a K-W... I'm pretty sure it's cable from memory...
-
What's the answer then??? please feel free to share. My guess would be that it's a 2T not a 2T-C That is based on my experience with 3T and 3T-C engines... The 3T-C has emissions control gear coming out of the bottom of the exhaust port... 4 threads that a single pipe runs from back to a pump and up to the inlet. Due to the lack of these holes, that'd be my guess, but I could well be wrong. Please, if you've found out, it'd be great to share that info.

Low Comp Pistons On The Cheap
white_sandshoe replied to Toy-Yoda's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I love it! Where can i get some fully sik pistons like that? I mean, if you are going to something like that, at least get it properly machined... don't just drop a grinder on them and hope for the best. haha -
It was great to see so many guys come out, and the lengths they went to to get cars on the road to attend. I'm thinking either late January or early February for another one... What's everyone think of that? Next time there should be a few new additions to the lineup. I'll have at least two of my T18s and Ken should have his KE10 done by then...
-
Well that was interesting...
-
sweet! I'm looking forward to this... it's far too hot to be indoors... Just been doing up the maps... This should be lots of fun with lots of twisties... and I don't mean the cheese flavoured snacks...

Ken's been kind enough to let me work in my car instead of his. I'm at the point now that I can see the definitive light at the end of the tunnel, and have been able to ascertain that it is in fact the end, and not a steam train heading my way. It's looking darn good for being fully finished tomorrow before lunch, and I'm pretty certain it'll be running tonight. Anyways, time to get some food and keep going with it. I'm having to modify things as I come across them, but this is turning into quite a successful two day build. I'm looking forward to braking something tomorrow with the amount of power I'll be putting down. hahaha. See you all there, and don't forget to have your bells on.
-
well it's looking good... diff and rear suspension is in, tailshaft looks like it'll line up well(ish) and engine feels real good... Thanks to Dan's efi conversion all the wiring is in the right place already(ish) and I've finished the rack and pinion conversion... If i bail on Ken tomorrow night I'll easily finish it in time. Hey Ken, trade you a ride for a night off??? haha. I actually got stuck in traffic for an hour and then stuck in licensing center for an hour... sucks so bad... Oh well, I'm off to pull out lower control arms so I can stick the front coilovers in.
-
Yay! new faces. i'd love to see all the perth members that haven't yet come on a cruise. Oh, I've got a bet running... If I win the bet, I'll be taking a 3TGTE/W55 motorvated T18 (Dan's old one)... It's currently a bare shell sitting in my shed, and I have bet that I can build it in what is effectively one and a half days... Let's see how it goes. I'm pretty darn excited about it all. should be great fun!

45 Dcoe 14 Weber For Blow Thru Turbo
white_sandshoe replied to white_sandshoe's topic in General Mechanical
Yeah, I seen those crazy buggers running stupidly fast times... I'm actually using the maserati carb on a K series turbo as I came across a couple of complete 3TGTEs to go into the T18/s... Oh, and picking up another one tomorrow. hahaha. so now I officially have 3 of them. -
45 Dcoe 14 Weber For Blow Thru Turbo
white_sandshoe replied to white_sandshoe's topic in General Mechanical
That was mid-last year mate... I've since graduated to a Maserati weber that was setup for blow thru from the factory. As for the seller? long long gone... 18 months gone. -
As always, it comes down to what you want to use it for... 3T won't rev much above 6, where as the 2T will. 2T won't pull as hard low down, where as the 3T will. I do follow a bit of a neanderthal V8 mentality (and bumper sticker) "There is no replacement for displacement." For that, the 3T wins. But then, it'd depend on the gearing and all the rest to decide if it suits your application or not... For what you've said you were looking to use it for, I'd go the 3T... more revs are great for the track, but for ease of movement, the torquier of the two is the way to go.
-
oh no! one down... how many more are coming on this one???
-
chrylser chrysler chryyyyysleeeer... mopar FTW!
-
And if you turn around long enough, the kiwis down there will stick a rotor in it...

Yeah, now that we are getting a few overrated looking or at least highly respectable rides, I would very much like to have a "cruise" at some point... something in the public eye where people can see that the corolla is still a desirable and damn good looking car. I'd love to see both your 10 and 20 on the road together... lol And some day in the not too distant future i'll have my both my T18s in much more completed form... Actually, for this cruise i don't think I'll have my Allie done in time... We are building a fresh 2TG headed 3T with twin side draughts for her. I want to take my time and do her well. All the minor finishing touches like powder coating the rocker covers and that sort of thing... Also hoping to get the 3TGTE into Nessa at some point in the not too distant future too. It'll be nice to take both of them cruising... Maybe actually stop somewhere and have a coffee where we can see people walking past and admiring them on the street. Anyways, in the mean time we'll definitely have some fun in the sun up in the hills.
-
Note where this is from... I didn't know Jack was a girls name??? oh well... At least she left a note...
-
Mwahahahaha. Pines FTW! Ok, I'll definately put that one up next time around. But I don't think anyone will be leaning on Ken to bring the 10 along. haha. Ok, so with a bit of last minute voting, (mainly because I have NO idea how to close the poll...) we are now Ridge Racing. 20th Dec, 2pm, Carpark at the end of Weir Village Road, Mundairing Weir. Route will take us the same route to Canning Dam as we went last hills cruise (as some will remember) and then a second leg down to Serpentine dam...
-
Hmmm... I feel a lynch mob coming on... Same thing happened to my mate who was driving my T18... lady got out and gave her details, saying she'd probably just pay some cash because "such an old car can't be worth much." Meh... hunt them down i say.

Whats The Worst Engine Ever Made?
white_sandshoe replied to KETURBO25's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
Poor mitsubishi... but then again... it's their own fault. I will say they have established a consistent build quality... unfortunately that quality is exceptionally low. And again demonstrated in the new Mitsubishi Colt. 80's Magna for the fail. -
That's no excuse! only event that you are allowed to miss the cruise for is your own funeral. lol. all you got there is a good excuse to skip work... Anyways, who works on a Sunday???
-
I'm still waiting for a PM so i can come check it out! lol. Next weekend is ok. This weekend i have given myself the weekend off... I'm going to go nuts. I'm cutting my teeth on wiring, so if I get the supra and the KE55 done and sweet, then Yes, I RULE at wiring... lol
