  1. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for a pic of the original steering knuckles next to the standard ones. I like that you're actively setting up the steering to lean more towards oversteer... That's excellent! just in case the torque won't be enough? hehe
  2. no worries, two hours to go... see you all there hopefully.
  3. bump for price and reply?
  4. I'd think moving the crossmember forward 30mm would be enough to compensate for the difference in wheelbase to allow for the ackerman angles set in the S13 suspension from the factory... The new angle on the steering arms would mess with it a bit, but I would have thought the other mods such as tilting the struts back even further and lifting the pivot points for the control arms and castor rods would be taking it further out rather than fixing it... Other thing too... i don't think you will need to worry about touching the handbrake to get her drifting... not with the power to weight ratio you'll end up with, not to mention the torque of the 1UZ...
  5. I have a twin side draught manifold on a K i'm pulling apart (using the webers on something larger.) might be able to twist my arm into sending it over
  6. any time before 1 i guess?
  7. you're driving my red T18 still??? The red and green T18s are going strong, the KE20 is nowhere near even thinking of being ready, and the white T18 is almost on her deathbed and will be staying home. Who else is good for it?
  8. Two for the price of one!!!
  9. I say go rip off a VL commodore paint combo... the gold and grey two tone http://www.carsonline.com.au/1986_VL_Commodore.jpg
  10. Dude! those would look soooo tough on a KE10/20... I want!
  11. Good luck finding an MX23 diff... if you do, grab one for me as well! lol. Munt street in Bayswater has a toyota wreckers... other than that, i can't think of anyone that would be likely to have what you're chasing.
  12. I've got a red T18 with downdraught weber, RA65 coilovers and a 4.11 diff... :hmm: Oh, set of 14" advans with fresh tires too...
  13. Great to see another rolla saved from the clutches of modifiers by Gav... you're a champion, and it seems to me you're in the right place at the right time a liiiittle too often... lol
  14. There's lots of auto ones in the quokka... Hold out until you find a manual Avante though... that's the one to get. Also, make sure you pay attention to as many other areas of your car as possible. Straight body, good rims, tidy interior and decent sound will make it stand out for the right reasons. Also, continuity is the key. Purple paint with bright orange interior might not be the way to win points with the guys judging entry.
  15. This is an excellent opportunity for rollaclub to be involved with the larger toyota community, and take part in something so much bigger for toyota owners here in Perth. I'll be there with bells on, as I'm already a member of TECCWA.
  16. Well the Green T18 is coming along nicely... The KE20 plan is formulated, but I've been forced into a position where it's more beneficial to do the Mark II first. I'll see how it all comes together. Considering I've got absolutely everything to do the KE20, she shouldn't take too long to get done. I'd hazard a guess that I could get her finished if I put a solid 2-3 months into her... I'm hoping to get the Mark II done before July, so I'd love to have them both there, but I won't be displaying the Mark II under the rollaclub banner for obvious reasons...
  17. The Red T18 is officially back! purring like a kitten on heroin... Tomorrow will be tuning the Green T18 and fiddling with the wiring a bit, then exhaust welding on the weekend... mmm... There will be 3 T18s ready to cruise.
  18. I think the main thing to check is that there is either enough room between the bonnet and where the guards bolt onto the front, either that, or bolt them inside the engine bay, and the points you bolt them into are both solid enough and will give you the right "throw" (i'm tired and can't think of any of the right words...)
  19. I 2nd 2in SU carb...
  20. I have a solution!!! and it's better than just RWD. Take the 4AGE, swap for 4AGZE, turn sideways, bolt in. Run driveshaft from one side of gearbox to MA61 IRS diff and suspension in rear. Bolt driveshaft from OTHER side of gearbox to MA61 diff now sitting in the front. get driveshafts to connect from new front diff to standard CV joints. 4WD for fun and profit!!!
  21. from my experience it plugs straight up. it's essentially the same gauge with a different face for the US and pre-metric australian markets as far as i can tell.
  22. maybe something leaking in your carby, or just needs carb tuned?
  23. Digging up an old thread here, but there's one abandoned on the side of Berkshire road in Forrestfield... A KE70 wagon that is, not a 4AGE...
  24. mix??? what mix of which you speak? beer to spirits mix? guy to girl mix? hmmm... put those two together and that's one wild night...
  25. Team Awesome Sauce??? wtf? And yes, i do believe it is a corolla cruise. Matt should be making it along in his KE26 (I hope) and i'll make sure there is a KE20 there. Chris, i guess you'll be representing the front spinner brigade single handed again?
