I'm thinking, fix the existing dash. as much as i hate the thought of pulling it out (been ther done that before :bash: ) i know its going to be the only way to do it right

So it has a recently recod 4k 5 speed clarion stereo with subs(stereo not hooked up yet) 16" wheels and has been backyard resprayed I drives bloody beautifully even ah high speeds, i was crusing comfortably at 110km for hours , it loved it Plans are pretty straight forward firstly, rego then I'm going to redo the interior, new front seats, recover rear seats, new door trims etc and attempt to get hold of some better interior plastics and the dash Then i'll fiwx up the exterior, rust removal, couple of small dings then respray the same colour (pro job) Then i plan to go old school with the engine basically keep the 4k electronic ignition, raise compression, headwork, cam, exhaust, and carbie(s)

Hey guys Well its been a few years since i have had the privilage of posting on this site as i am now back in the car i should be, A Rolla :dance: I bough this little beast from a guy on this site (Thanks Rob)from melbourne unregoed and got a permit for it and drove it back yesterday. Did it one go 10hrs from Mt Eliza VIC to Berowra NSW and didnt miss a beat :y: No overheating or anything aside from a small start and idle issue which i am getting sorted tomorrow. Funny thing i drove just under 1000km yesterday,with no plates, drove past six or seven cops and didnt get pulled over once haha. Anyway here some photos after i gave her a clean up today

Your right there mate times do change and people move on congrats on getting engaged and i'm sure your new beast will be awesome :yes: I too have made a change as well, you might not recognize me now

Ok so its been a little while since ive posted progress but ive had the wallet out and have got some stuff done The List Car is now regoed Sports steering wheel & knob fitted Rear wing has been fitted 2" sports muffler fitted Pedders lowered sports ryder springs fited all round Pedders comfort ryder gas shocks fitted all round new bumpstops all round 16x7 king wheels KG-5 in hyper black with Nankang 205 45 16 rubber Pioneer cd player Kenwood 3 way 6" speakers in rear Cadence 2 channel bridged amp Cadence 12" sub in box Let me know what you think

Yeah i would also agree, ideally i want to try to get chrome ones but will see what i can dig up Sprayed the wing today and picked up my bigport engine which will be being rebuilt

Thanks mate I'll be leaving the strips off i think, looks a bit sleeker without unless i come across a nice set of chrome ones that match the top mouldings Definately looking forward to seeing it all put back together with the wing on as well Then i just need to find nsome nice new rims and lower it

Well we had an extremly productive day yesterday, got the whole car wet rubbed back then spent a good three hours masking up and decided we'll just spray it now so up in the garage till 10;30pm and we got 5 coats of colour and 3 coats of clear I have to say it looks pretty damn good for a backyerd job. I can't take much credit though as it was my mate Graham who did 90% of the work I will take some more photos once we strip off the tape and put all the bits and pieces back on We still have to spray the wing on monday (which is in the first pic) and i will also respray the wiper arms and window frames black as i'm sure they are going to look pretty dull with the paint looking so new

Hey mate going to keep it factory ice green except many coats of colour & 2 pack clear bring out the shine factor Yeah this one runs like a dream too bit slow atm but i'll work on that. Had the 20v in a hatchback version about 10 years ago Car is getting rubbed tomorrow dry then wet then spraying on Sunday morning Will be posting plenty of pics another couple of months it will be lowered and i'll get a set of 16's for it Will be my daily in a few months after i sell my ute
