Hi Trav i just received the ignitor back, It seems i wrote the postcode down wrong so they sent it back to me Sorry mate i will resend express post correctly tomorrow for you Cheers - Andrew

I was lucky enough to buy a second rolla which had 2 good guards on it (havent been fitted yet) but if you keep your eyes on the for sale section and the cars for wrecking then one will come up soon enough Just remeber any KE 30,35,36,38 or55 panels will fit straight on
-
Welcome to the rolla's I have the same model and am in the process of a 20valve conversion Firstly any KE30 - KE55 parts are all interchangable And as for engine conversions your going to have to have an idea of how much you want to spend and how much you can do yourself. If you wanted a drive in drive out 4age conversion you would be looking at probably $10,000

Hey Trav Yeah I'm hangin to get it on the road, my aim is to be driving it by April As for suspension, i havent really thought that part out yet, i'll probably do the engine and driveline stuff and then take it straight to pedders and they can cut loose new tie rod ends, bushes throughout, reset leaves and add a leaf new shocks e.t.c. And Luc, i'm pretty happy with my decision although there are a few people here in Sydney that are gonna give me a hard time about it but hey, its all part of the fun I think after i've enjoyed the N/a version for a while i'll definatly turbo it but quality parts this time like brand new garrett turbo, steam pipe manifolds e.t.c.

Ok so its been a little while since an update, i just moved house and have been quite sick as well so anyway i've started to buy a couple of things and i've also decided to go a slightly different route with the KE35 I'm sure this is going to upset a few people (Particularly Jono :P ) but i am now going to be installing a 20 valve instead of the turbo 16v There are a few reasons for this, i had planned to put the 20v into another ke30 but i am not getting that car now so i still have the engine. I also thought about it and i do like to be at least a little bit different and although people have put 20v in before it is a much less common conversion. And finally i would like to do a quality build and i found myself buying cheap turbo parts to do the conversion instead of quality so i would rather have a more reliable and Quality 20v conversion than a band aided together 16v turbo job I do realise that i wont have the same amount of power but eventually down the track i may turbo the 20v All that being said i have a couple of photos, one of the 20v, one of my skylie LSD i aquired and have to get ready to go in and lastly how my rolla is sitting at the moment. Cardboard box powered rolla HA HA

For sure mate i'm definatly keen to get this rolla rolling and BTW i have my skyline lsd on the garage floor waiting to get chopped now too :y:

Yeah from what ive heard though the actual in the car difference between a silvertop and a blacktop isnt that much an supposedly the silvertop has stronger internals And i'll measure up the numbers to make sure i get them right And sorry mate but i don't have any k motor parts anymore they are all 4a now -

Yeah thats a good idea with the punches, i'll see if i can find some And as for the 20v trav, well i was going to put it in another ke30 but now its actually going to go into the 35 The plan will be to run it N/A for a while and when i get bored with the power down the track i'll run a low boost turbo application and probably drop the compression I decidetd that i would rather have a quality 20v install than a slapped together budget 16v turbo at this stage -

Yeah thats what i thought too but the numbers he gave me check out and looking at the marks where the numbers are it certainly doesnt look like an intentional job It kinda looks like he was cutting the manifofd with a grinder and slipped and hit the block if you know what i mean like more of a gouge than a shave -
I'd love to go Mick but i don't think my flintstones style ride will quite be able to keep up with the pack :'(

Hi Guys I just picked up a new 20v engine and discovered that the engine number was missing from the block I asked the guy and he said he was trying to modify somethng and ended up taking pretty much all the numbers off (the 4a and one other number are still there)\ He provided me with the numbers (which are ligit) but i'm not sure the best way to get them back on the engine Has anyone had to do this or whats the best thing to do? Cheers - Andrew

Back is spelt with a 'c'

The last time i saw an exhaust manifold glow red was because the gasket wasnt quite sealing properly and the oxygen it was puling in made it burn hotter, hence the red glow I'd check everything to make sure it's all sealed, tightened etc and then see what happens The only other time i saw a manifold glow red was on you tube and the engine was running about 30 pound boost and putting out about 1100hp

I beleive that means you have an air leak somewhere

This is for another project that i am toying with :no2:

Hi Guys For those who did eventually turn up i apologise I was sick as a dog but i still dragged my ass out of bed and was there from 10am till 10:45 and after being dissapointed thay no-one showed up i left. For people with genuine reasons for not making it , i understand I thought there would be a decent turn out but i was wrong. For anyone wishing to be in the calander please just send your photos straight to jip as i am not going to bother organising a re shoot cause i have better things to do than wait around for people who don't have any enthusiasm to support their club Andrew -
Centrelines FTW!!!!!

I don't know how many people are going to turn up to a cruise at 9:30 am on a Wednesday morning but good luck :bash:
