  1. I was thinking about converting a ae82 corolla to a rear wheel drive and having a big HP engine in it but its a heck load of work.. :D I was going to cut n' shut the whole thing with ae71 parts. :rolls:
  2. Sorry to hear about your misfortune with that guy. Hopefully you can sort it out soon :D I guess the best thing you can do is just go though it bit by bit until you find the problem. :) 15's pretty good, seems like it has some pepper to it :P
  3. Nice man :D If you need a hand with anything just sing out. Id be happy to help :P
  4. ROFLMAO!!! :D Thats pretty cool but i still don't believe it :P

  6. Yeah, trev was right, both times the oil cap has been milky it turned out later that it was condensation. I wouldnt mind shaving the head a bit more, get a 0.8 gasket and polish the exhaust ports. Thats if the head was to come off
  7. I just read the 6 pages and Wow, very nice ;) Did you get the oil leaks fixed? I got leaks everywhere and i hate it ;) Btw, paint it red, then you don't have to pull the engine out
  8. Hehe, yeah that would be nice ;) False alarm, head gasket is ok ;)
  9. Dude, both those rollas are so clean but the 70 is just outstanding! ;) I love how the ae71 came up after a bit of elbow grease. I have seen alot of e7's cut, welded, dumped and modded heaps but these two rolla's are wicked just the way they are. Hope to see you on another cruise soon ;) Cheers, Johno
  10. Congrats on the purchase, I'm jealous. Its good to see you got a ae71 and not a ke70, much easier for future mods down the track ;)
  11. I'm not sure what the settings are now but its just like what Trev described, Wheel spin in the wet was just crazy. Sometimes i just couldn't take off from the lights.
  12. Yeah its cool, i'll get it done soon. ;) The engine only had a head done 40,000 kms ago. Fords last 100,000km I'll have to change the heater core too, the 4ac that was in the car before had a blown head too. Maybe dodgy heater core? Cheers guys ;)
  13. This rolla is hot! ;) So much work gone into it, if only i could do half of what you've done.. ;)
  14. Little update. Been driving it around everywhere. Its pretty much my daily now ;) Got a wheel alignment done today, it was out a fair bit. I had a scare when it rained and had to drive home. Anytime i went through a large puddle it would pull the steering wheel out of my hand and want to aqua plane. got it fixed now. Chucked a Jdm Ecu in. Got a second dyno run. getting 65.5fwkw and increased the torque to 235Nm on the ground. Its running a bit more rich but its more responsive with a better power curve down low. And last the head gasket blew today. ;) Any suggestions what i could do to the head while its off?
  15. Sorry, I'm a bit of a noob. I had to google "tee kay test" So i take it to my mechanic for that yeah? Symtoms i got are.. Running water sound under dash Milky oil cap Steam from exhaust Air in the cooling system
  16. Went for a good drive this arvo, Just checked the oil cap and.. Blown head gasket :blinks:
  17. Bled the cooling system, bubbles eventually stopped and hunting has stopped. When i quickly rev the engine bubbles still come up though. Oil still looks good. The idle is still very high as well. Cold Idle 2,800rpm. Warmed up anywhere between 1100 and 1500rpm. Ive adjusted the idle screw on the TB next to the air intake. Unscrew it and it revs up, screwed all the way in and its still on 1200rpm. I took the air box hose off and looked at the butterfly to check nothing was blocking it and its closed all the way and clean. I fiddled with the accelerator cable and the little 8mm screws the the cable harness sits on has got all the clearance it needs so I'm stumped. Even when it had the ADM ecu in there it was still idling at 1100prm So its kinda a topic change, why is my idle still so high?
  18. Cont with he's ass out :(
  19. Mmmm, Susan Boyle :blinks:
  20. I got the wheel aliment done. Tow in was 14mm out on each side on the front. Castor was a little out and the back left wheel was way out. Seems to be driving a bit better now:)
  21. Crazy hill climb and a wicked save Most Cars Driven on Two Wheels Simultaneously
  22. Yeah, its all out a bit i think. I did it all up to what i thought looked ok on jack stands but i didnt check it all once it was all back together and on the ground driving. I'll get a pro do do it all. Might even do it today and start work late.
  23. UFO's :blinks:
  24. I think the auto post is a great idea, sometimes you have something for sale and after a few months you forget about checking for posts. some new member can't send a pm so instead just posts on the thread and it gets lost 5 pages away. PM is way better idea. :blinks: and sellers will most likely respond quicker when its PM
  25. Turps will melt your rubber, even if its only the surface, the first drive it will wear off the soft rubber and your tires will be hard again. Edit: I might have to take that back after reading this :blinks: http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/thread/41...d-tire-softener
