Well i tried and no good. :locked: I started to pry it open with a screwdriver and the rubber is real stiff and just goes back to its original position. No matter where i tried it was the same :yes: I am just going to mask it up. I read some where on the net that you can get thick fishing line (2mm thick) and push it under the rubber around the whole seal and then mask the rubber and have a small bit of tape go around and under the rubber. Then when you paint paint, the spray gets under the rubber just a bit. When you finish you wont see any masking line because the line is under the rubber. I'll get some tomorrow morning and try it out.

Yeah thats where i was thinking too but i thought it might be sikaflexed. I'll give it a shot and let you know tonight

I bought a replacement boot/tailgate door for my seca and now i want to paint it. There is nothing worse than seeing a masked line of paint right next to the rubber and not to mention the pain in the ass it is to mask it up so i just want to remove it. Can i take it out and if so, how do I? I want to reuse the glass again to smashing it is not an option. Johno :locked:

Any corolla that starts with Ae9 Eg. Ae92 or Ae94. If your unsure of what corolla it is you can just read the first 4 letters on the firewall and find out what model it is.

WGMG is Cars and Girls. Girls because they play mind game's with you and cars, well just my rolla. I seem to be sanding forever. Filled up the 3 dents in one door. Then found another 5 dents so 8 all together. Now i found another one which was totally obvious but just didnt see it in the right light. Thats 9 dents on 1 door that looked perfect when i bought it at the wreckers. Urrgh!! At least it does not have much rust on it. OMG thread = :locked:

Oh well, you win some, you loose some. As a daily driver i'm sure its better to have the bottom end torque rather that reving the guts out of it to get power. If you give it stick on takeoff, can it spin the wheels without the handbrake? Have you seen that movie called stuck on you? That asian girl take's off in her car wheelspinning through the whole carpark. :locked:

G'day. I been thinking about putting some lights under my dash to light up the floorpan area. My question is, would this wiring system work? I was going to get a 5v converter and a 3 way switch. I turn on the system with a separate switch then select what color i want my floorpan to be. I.e, Red, Green or Blue. As you can see the LED's are all hooked up by one earth lead. Positive is controlled by the 3 way switch and will only supply power to the led colour that is selected. As red is selected, only red LED's are lit up. What do you think? Let me know, good or bad. Cheers guys! Here's a few pics from todays work. Finished sanding the front bumper so thats ready to paint now. Sanded and filled right door. Ka fill for large dents. Sanded the bog then applied Nitro Filler for fine filling. Sanded back with block and filled again to get it perfect Same process with the left back door. Sanded down and prep wash Filled small chips and supermarket dents with nitro fill. I only saw 3 dents but when I looked closer from every different angle with the light i found heaps more. Once its all filled and sanded i'll be priming it then later i'll guide coat it and sand it again

I just saw all your pics in the rollaclub gallery and its looking real nice. You have really been stripping it, looks awesome! Those panel's are looking real straight now. Keep up the good work :locked:

What about those other late night ad's. The one's where you got beach babes just wanting to show you how hot they are on your mobile. The ads play every 4 minutes and I don't know if anyone falls for that crap but looking at the T's and C's its costs like $4 per message sent/received and $5 per week for subscription fee's.

Yeah the boss pays super and i'm a subby. I work 7.30am to 3.30pm and get I payed 8 hours and that includes 2 breaks.

My current boss charges $500 per day for each worker on site. I don't see even half that money but he's the boss. I guess he has to pay for work cover, insurance, super and tools but i still reckon he makes a sweet deal.

So even carby motors like cold air?

I know a builder who charges $1800 per day and he has one apprentice who he pays $8.50 per hour and the poor kid works harder than his boss. Its hard when your young. I worked for a guy for about 5 months I was 19 and got $80 per day and $120 per day if your 21 or over. It was crap cos i worked just as hard as the older guys and i had about 4 years experience up my sleeve at the time

Nice, I really like the ae70 2 doors. Looking at the current condition as it sits right now is just more fun to fix it up. If your motivated and love working on cars then this should be alot of fun when its finished. If your into drifting i would be dropping a 4age in her. You could get a Jap spec with loom for about $700au.

Thanks guys. Four of her friends have kids. Ages follow as 17, 17, 20 and 21. That was the age they had their first baby. Not saying that thats their age now. I think she doesn't want to be the odd one out with her friends but i'm not having a kid just so she can be in a perfect little mothers club. Not to mention she pulled the "I took the pill" trick on me about a year ago. don't get me wrong, she's a top chick but she really wants a baby bad and i'm not ready for that right now. My mates are asking me to come out clubbing but i'm not into all that crap. Well not yet anyway. Id rather take my frustration out on my corolla by sanding it extra good this weekend and drinking.. Lol :cool:
