Thanks for the comments guys. I guess i had big plans for the seca and doing it all at once got a bit too much for me to handle, One thing at a time now, haha! Well just a small update for now, getting everything ready to start the 4age this weekend, been to repco and bought new fuel lines, vac lines, fuel filter thermostat, coolant, heater hoses, radiator hose, clips and clamps. Went to Toyota dealer and got me a fuel pump bolt, going back to the wreckers tomorroew to get a few more things, Accelorator cable, better window wiper arms (maybe of a nissan pulsar or something to stop the bonnet from hitting them) a few other things but can't remember right now (pretty wasted) hey its friday night, well sat morning.. Lol Hopefully if all goes well i might be able to start this tomorrow :P

Thanks mate, found it on page 4. Have you got larger pics of that?

I could get a pic tomorrow night but i think everything is ok with the coil side of things every plug is accommodated for. On Picture 3 with red circle 1, that cable is loose and i can't find where it could connect to or belong. Yeah i got hold of a twinky at the wreckers and got the dash loom and the drivers side loom, the ECU and engine loom came with the 4age purchase. The reason I'm asking all these questions now is so when it comes time to kick it over i want it to start and not have to worry if its a fuel pump or vac line or some electrical prob. It hasn't been started for over 18 months so it might be a bit of a bitch I got two more pics for you. First pic is the loose cable that was floating around on top of the engine. It could just be some random cable that was from the donor car? and second pic is some green plug that is behind the engine just above the alternator whats the green plug for, if i don't need it I'm not too concerned. Thanks, Johno

Hey there, I'm putting a 4age bigport in an ae82 sedan. I have a few problems as to what wire goes where. They were not marked and some don't have a plug on them so I'm in a little bit confused ATM I have labeled some pics with numbers and was hoping anyone with a 4age could tell me Picture 1 This is the plug set that's connected to the engine loom that goes in the firewall, its right next to the fuel filter What plug is for what? Picture 2 This is a few vac lines that connects to the throttle body. 1 is a T piece that has a clear plastic tube that i think fits into something? 2 comes from the little unit, where does it plug into? 3 does that plug into the soot canister? 4 where does it actually attach to the car, does it have a holder? Picture 3 Just some random wires 1 is a random piece of cable with a clip on the end that was floating around on top of the engine? 2 has a brown wire and i think (white wire with red stripe) has a resistor connected to it? 3 is a plug that's connected to the loom, wheres it plug onto? does it plug onto (2) but only has one wire? If anyone could please help me out, i would be ever so grateful :blinks: Thank you, John.

Wicked, thanks guys! I'll look at all your options and hopefully this wont be an issue for much longer. The car is apart ATM but when its together (this weekend hopefully) I'll get right onto it :lolcry: Cheers, Johno :blinks:

I have really slow wipers. Low speed is about as fast as a stoned turtle and Hi speed is about what low speed should be running. What could it be and how can i fix it? Edit: its on my ae82 sedan

If you want an apprenticeship then i suggest you speak to the tafe first. Usually they have employers come in looking for apprentices that have almost finished their pre ap. See if the demand is high. If so, then jump into a pre ap and score yourself a job at the end :blinks:

^ Cheers Sam :blinks: Small update, Finished the engine bay, ready to drop the 4age in :lolcry: Found out the shock's i bought last year have lowered springs in them.. Going to change the front end again to get the steering straight and keep at stock hight for now :D Here's a heap of pics to keep you'll happy :) Front and rear disks on rear disks fitted :) New throw out bearing for gearbox Twinky hub vs standard hub How low does it sit?? Lifting out the 4ac Ready to drop in  Dirty engine bay, thats after degreas and high pressure wash. Before that it was almost black After a quick freshen up with paint All ready for some 4age power.. :)

Update for today, Fitted off the r/h front hub Assembly hired a engine crane pulled out the 4ac installed new thrust bearing for gearbox fitted C52 gearbox to 4age started cleaning up engine bay ready for transfer One thing, i have a massive problem with the steering. both front wheels are pointing in heaps. I could hardy push the car on flat ground with 2 people. I think the problem is the twinky hub Assembly is suited for power steering only because the steering arms are too long and thats whats pushing the wheels out. I'll try to adjust it another day but it needs to go in about 1/2 inch on both sides, oh yeah and the left hand hub bearings are screwed. More set backs.. Errrghh :hmm:

Strangest Thing You've Found In A Car You Bought.
Johno replied to B.L.Z.BUB's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
When i bought the ae82 sedan i found, A few coins, one was a Arabian coin Glove box was full of original receipt's for the car for the last 3 years A few ice cream sticks under the backseat Probably best thing i ever found in a car i bought was a 2 channel amp bolted under the front seat, XF ford :hmm: -

Thats cool, i noticed a fair power increase with just an exhaust on my 4ac but with Webber's and cam I'm sure its a little beast  I just noticed a few things with your ae82 different to ADM corolla's Your front bumper is different Indicators and reverse lights are above the taillights instead of below Dash cluster surround is different. Horn is in a different spot Anything i missed?? :lolcry:

Well i spent another day on the rolla, well about 5 hours anyway. It was not quite as productive as yesterday but did get some things done. Some things i wanted to get done but couldn't because parts were wrong :lolcry: I got the Drive shafts undone, had to put the wheels back on then lower the car on the ground and get underneath and unbolt the drive shafts from the gearbox, :lolcry: Got the left hand front hub assembly off ready to install the twinky hubs and shockers but couldn't put them on because the holes need large bolts. :lolcry: I got the fuel tank out, old fuel lines, put the twinky lines in, cleaned out the twinky fuel tank (been sitting outside for 1.5 years) Went to install it then thought i better change the rubber fuel hoses so thats tomorrow's job. The other reason i didn't put it in is because i forgot which line goes where :lolcry: I tried to install the rear disks but the rotors wont fit over the bloody hubs, the hubs are too big :lolcry: so off to the wreckers again tomorrow. I had to pull the air con system out aswel because the front end is a bit different on the twinky, thermo fan sits outside to allow for exhaust and the air con lines are in a different spot to allow for the oil cooler. End of todays work Tomorrows plan is go to the wreckers again for rear hubs, front hub bolts and fuel filter harness. Go to mums to grab a few more bits for the rolla Go to auto shop for new fuel hose and hose clamps Wouldn't mind pulling the 4ac out and start cleaning up the engine bay, got me a new can of spray paint  Tomorrow will hopefully go smother than today :lolcry:

Just read this whole thread, i love the work you done on it. :lolcry: The orange looks really good, what is "clear on base" system you use, i don't quite understand? Are they stock headlights? They look chiseled or something  Cheers, Johno

More work has been done :lolcry: Went to the wreckers again on Tuesday and got a few more parts. Rear seatbelt, Rear disk rotors, front twinky thermo fan, coil cooler hard lines and drivers side wire loom. :lolcry: Tues and Wed night, I finished painting most of the parts so they are ready to bolt on Ae94 brakes on the old seca I took another day off to work on the car today. I gave it a good crack today and got quite a lot done which I'm really happy about What I removed today: Hand brake lines Full exhaust Rear drum brake setup Headlights and indicators Front bumper and guards Wire loom Radiator Lower engine mounts Most heater hoses Everything but the Drive shafts is undone ready to lift the 4ac out  Tried to undo the drive shafts but then remembered i had already removed the brakes on the rear so jumping on the brakes while another person unbolts it was not going to work, next idea i had was to put the wheels back on and remove the center cap on the mags and unbolt it but my 30mm socket is too shallow and wont fit over the nut so i called it a day. Pics :lolcry: Bought myself a new toy.. It was a full complete car this morning.. not anymore :lolcry: Almost ready to lift out.. :lolcry:
