  13. I am pretty new at upgrading my car and the person I would normally go to with this type of question has led me astray and resulted in some pretty dodgy workmanship of the work I have had done to my car so hence I don't ask him to help me anymore with my car. The problem I have now is I have just been told that I need to replace everything in my rear for the brakes, now I have drums in there on a ae82 and I have wanted to upgrade to disks for a while just the money is an issue. I have been told that I can replace the rear drums for about $500-$600. I then started thinking would it be easier to just upgrade at this time instead of six months down the track. I have enquired and if I source my own parts a conversion place near me can install the parts I find for about the same price. The thing that is troubling me is that I am severely running out of time and don't have much money to spend on this project. I was wondering if anyone could help me by pointing me in the direction of where I could source the parts, if the conversion is going to be quick and painless and will I need to get a engineers certificate now I have changed a major part of the car, I also already have an sports exhaust (problem area I mentioned) and extractors and have had it lowered with new shocks and springs. If anyone can help me with information I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
  14. I live in an area where families tend to be well off and parents give their children cars as gifts and insure them to the highest value - not saying that my family is well off as everything I have, I have worked just as hard as everyone here to own - the close calls I have come across there are way to many to mention as the drivers don't value the "gifts" that their parents give them. The stunts I have seen them pull and the excuses I have heard telling their parents and the police are absolutely shocking to my 21 year old mind and the worst thing is the parents say oh well and go back to the prestige car dealer the next day to buy another car for someone who didn't value the first one in the first place. I know this is going to keep happening cuz as long as people have lots of money things just don't have the same meaning to the people who work for it. But it does not only relate to young drivers I have seen some older people pull pretty shocking stunts. A license is a privilege not a right.
  15. nasty you are one lucky person.
