I work for toyota and they would most probably source it from motor traders or repco if we were to replace it in the workshop. But if a customer were to try an order one might be a few days wait or japan only from what ive seen go on. I bought mine from Sprint auto parts which is a local parts supplier in SA. I get most of my gaskets and the like there.

Deposit paid for 2 people. cheers matt.

Wow thats alot. What kinda dollars would we be talking to get that figure without a turbo, 8-10 grand ? unless i guess it was turbo ? then maybe 4-5 grand Bill sherwood posted this not long ago http://www.performanceforums.com/forums/sh...highlight=motor this is a guy who i would have thought has done the reasearch, his posts are worth a read if we do a few searches.

Haha yeh everyone is keen once a topic about organising somthing is started then slowly start coming its to far or i don't have a street directory or my fav "i can't read a street directory" not entirely directed at anyone here, just over the years its the same old thing on every forum. Most of the time a Sat/Nav is useless trying to make you back track to take main roads. Btw guys fuel is getting cheaper so that excuse is out unless you are so poor cashing in bottle/cans gets the fuel in your tank. I drove the supra to pt pirie twice, pt lincoln, mildura twice, broken hill, horsham, melbourne and drove around melbourne going on local cruises for the 2 weeks i was there using a 2nd hand "melways" which is like the UBD street directory. I get a big kick out of driving i hit my peak when i was 27 drove the supra almost every night and went on any cruise i could my hands on. But to be fair when i was 17 the street directory was the best thing ever, i had no idea where places were. should i start a poll on if i rant too much ? :) -
don't worry guys not going down the fart cannon road it will have a subtle look most wont even notice the change visually. Ill be constructing the exhaust myself as ive seen too many workshops that don't give two sh!ts about what your laying down your hard earner dollars for. As for extractors i don't think anyone makes anything for the 4AC, that doesnt bother me as any improvement to the eshaust bent from the header actually bends so far towards to the front of the car before going to the rear at like 110 odd degrees again makes me scratch my head and wonder who the hell was so lazy they couldnt have made it only bend at 45 instead of 110 degrees.

Ahh i remeber those days. i think we had a rainwater tank installed not long after the house was built in 83.

LOL! mine is the blue one. It once was as high like the white one. And for those who missed it my car sits massivley high in my avatar which is before the swap. One more ITS THE BLUE ONE!!!! for the cost of $70 and $10 new hub seals and grease ive got laying around, maybe some black paint for the dirty russty struts. The next step for me steering away from a low budget will be AE86 struts and heavier again springs. will look into the coil overs once i have some driving under the belt with the newer setup.

:jamie: i can't drink fresh water anymore i get withdrawls.

Hi guys was getting concerned about the recent activity of us south australians acting irrational :jamie: including myself. Should we have our water tested ??

Yeah i had a Magnaflow on the supra was an awesome sound, it was 2 1/2 inch from the cat back, i think it was a bigger cat than standard also. Only had the one muffler and car had a nice smooth power output. I think it would only just fit under the corolla tho. I have done a little reasearch since popping the question and yes the types of muffler construction plays a very big key.

but but i have an A engine (bottom lip quivers) lol i see you quoted me below haha, i never aw the 5L mullet reply.

i just posted above how the car rides, it rolls less and turns sharper, nothing wrong with new if you want to pay full price the AE86 boys throw these away. 2nd hand but not chopped, if you get these chopped id be asking for them free. My avatar is before, ill try and find a pic of how it sits now. Used monroe GT gas in the front as there is nothing better to be found as no one makes anything better to suit the strut tube diameter. Using the same in the rear as i havent changed them yet more options for the rear. Topic was basically how to on the cheap so its starting to get away from being cheap.

http://www.kingsprings.com/ these arent the greatest springs in the world for track work but suits the street fine. http://www.nolathane.com.au/ for those who don't already know. Ive got the whole lot to suit my AE71. http://www.whiteline.com.au/ sway bars panhard rods ect The kings springs i have in my car arent super low or super stiff but has made a drastic improvement. The nolathane has made the car more precise and predictable. And I'm yet to get sway bars but have heard nothing but good things. Also a good choice in low profile tyres and 14-15 inch wheels should help even more. Or Bunnings are doing a sale on soon for outdoor garden renovations may be able to pick up some nice bricks.
