  1. Hi all Any one got any experience in sourcing front and rear windscreen rubbers for a KE35/55 hard top? I am guessing the usual sources like rare spares/scotts rubber, but thought I might find someone who already knew where the cheapest was?? Cheers
  2. I think that coloru is very similar to a BF Falcon Gt blue.. that might help you of you can't find the original
  3. www.toymods.net it will take you a while to become a member i am tipping so you will miss out if you depend on details there but i think its Starting some wher e in cranbourne - near the bunnings car park i think - at 9 or 9.30 will post up some more details soon
  4. Yeah I reckon my idea is better suited to old blokes with a bit of wedge and an old race car who don't have enough garage space - or who want to hide it from the missus - not so much the young bloke with no money trying to keep his car on the road.. the hoist certainly would be an issue for insurance.. as would a shed full of lovely old race cars :S
  5. I have been thinking that setting up this kind of storage facility/workshop wouldnt be a bad business proposition, assuming you could make reasonable money out of it... I am in Melbourne so I would be no good to you though :S Wonder what people would pay...
  6. Another car club meeting over for the month.. one of the guys had some photos of my car in its former glory so here they are... Nothing has really happened with the car... have tidied it up a bit and painted some bits that needed attention. Exterior is getting a coat of jam at the end of this month.. then its time for some weber love.. and maybe we can go racing when funds permit! Also got a team logo done by a good friend ... C-Force logo... most of you will be too young to understand!
  7. I think there is meant to be some tapping of holes in the brake conversion... tightening the bolts like you have sounds a bit dodgy! Have a look in the FAQ for info on this conversion.
  8. I would think you can probably get some KYB shocks that will do a nice job for your budget. By them time you have bought them and your other components you will be pretty much done with your budget, thought you might be able to sneak a sway bar in there too. Having not had your model don't know what difference that will make to handling though.
  9. Hi mate Welcome.. lots of info here. Have a look at the Knowledge Base/FAQ link in the top header of the site.
  10. Hi David I can help you out with that if you win. PM me once you win and we can work it out. Cheers
  11. Saw you mention buying something from the dude in Spain on ebay.. he asks a fair whack for most things.. but I guess that is fair cop for NOS parts.. but watch him on his postage.. he charges crazy crazy money. Get a quote before you buy!
  12. While your thermostat may well be stuffed, no coolant in top or bottom hoses sounds more like a coolant leak of some kind to me... hole in radiator, or a leaking hose, etc.. or it got massively hot and pumped all the coolant out?
  13. I suspect its nothing too special.. I might have to take a photo and see if someone can identify it for me.
  14. Sure am. Engine bay is obviously the stand out with it. Needs an overflow for oil and coolant, and a tune (Weber guru wanted!) and it will be right to go. The body needs to be painted so its presentable. Interior needs wiring tidied up, replacing the out of date harness, replacing the padding that has all gone brittle in the sun.. etc etc.. It really just needs a general tidy up and it should be right for club level stuff like hill climbs and super sprints, where you arent racing as such.
  15. Glad I read this thread right through.. was going to say I think gutting the doors is illegal too for CAMS cars... Is AMSAG run what ever you like is it?
  16. What do you know redwarf! Would love to hear any details
  17. Hey guys Thanks to the ebay posts in here I discovered this little gem and picked her up yesterday. A little bit of drama in all that but its home now! I am looking forward to tidying it up and then getting out and doing some club racing - hill climbs, super sprints and the Winton 6 hour. Specs as I know them - info a little sketchy from the previous owner KE35 Hardtop 2TGEU with Weber 40's TRD grind cams T50 5 speed Corona diff of some kind Bolt in alloy cage Front suspension unknown Koni rear shocks, reversed leaf packs on rear. Sway bars of some description Brakes appear to be standard fronts, corona drums on the rear. Very old Yokohama A008R's Current plans will be: Good clean inside and out Cheapie respray - white, with some red vinyl racing stripes applied after. Fit oil and radiator overflow bottles Get a good tune - getting some fuel being spat out of rear trumpet Investigate brake options - better fronts, discs on rear, etc Fit a rear bumper Here are some pics
  18. true that.. personally i don't think any decent straight corolla with some reg under $2k is bad buying... look after it and you should be able to turn it over when you are ready for similar coin
  19. car thieves should be shot.. hope you find it
  20. Sorry to hijack thread.. there is a Corolla wagon on carsales (think its a ke38 though its listed as a ke70) for anyone after one of these. Looks good.
  21. I have a suspicion I saw new parker lenses like yours on ebay some where not too long ago...
  22. What sort of racing are you going to do with it Gavclassic? Love that car, looks fantastic!
  23. Awesome car. Love these old Cressidas!
  24. Reckon you are lucky the regulars haven't growled at you yet about reading the FAQ! Having had a look myself, if you go to the Knowledge Base/FAQ link at the top of the page, you will find all you need to know about fitting discs to your KE10 there.
