I wouldn't even bother wasting your money putting a turbo on a k motor. If you want a turbo, get a 4agte! Probably a little bit more expensive, a f@$k load more power, and all you have to worry about is the conversion side of things. Instead of having to make custom manifolds etc. If you want a k motor get a 5k/7k.

If the first digits of the engine number are different, or the car wasn't released from factory with the engine in it, then you need a mod plate.

How are they flawed? Info on mod plate laws: A P Plater CANNOT drive a vehicle with a mod plate that has anything to do with engine modifications unless they have acquired a high powered vehicle exemption. Eg. Engine conversions (eg. 4age into ke70), turbo conversions. A P Plater CAN drive a vehicle with a mod plate that is not engine related. Eg: Fitting bucket seats, fitting roll cages, registered two seater, brake upgrades. They are the laws. What you can get away with is a different story.

I notice someone else in Brisbane is putting a 7k in their corolla. Own up to it :( The guy I called at D & W was convinced that i called him last night looking for a 7K to put in my Corolla, Took me a while to convince him that I only got onto his website last night. Anyway, back to the point. Who's buying the 7K? ;)

5k is illegal, but if you are willing to take the risk, easiest option. Looks almost exactly the same as a 4k, and apparently gives a bit more power. Trying to find one though... I may have one up for sale soon. pending.

the rolla was at option 1 the other day just getting a mod plate. Really, the only time i've been round there in it. Actually, probably been to option 1 once or twice.

40D Nowadays. 40D+grip+10-20mm sigma+ef 530 sigma flash is my basic set up. Got a few more lenses n shit on the way soon hopefully. Thie recaro is a tight fit, and I'm really not happy with the way it is mounted. If anyone has any tips on how to customize normal rails etc let me know! I'm also seriously considering 4age for this bitch. Just sick of the lack of power, if i do run one, it will be on carbs. Probably not in the near future anywho.
