Now that is what I'm talking about. Something a little bit different from the norm. I like.

Not being narrow minded.... I don't like Commodores or Falcons...... just my opinion........ simply not into them. If I had a $6k budget I would get something else. It may not be so new, but I would be happier. In my answers I took this as a hypothetical question. Anyway I don't think an Odyssey or CX7 is out of the question. I didn't mean to bag LPG either..... I just wouldn't do it personally. Have previously had 2 cars on gas and it drove me crazy. Getting back to a vehicle to get the family and all their stuff around.... heck if I get in trouble I will just throw the kids, prams, bags and other assorted stuff in the back of the Stout. Problem solvered. :lolcry:

Jeez, I simply didn't get around to answering this. Okay shoulder injury is a weird one. Had it for roughly nine years. Was either the result of a basketball incident or car accident that both happened within a couple days of each other. It got gradually worse over the years and I tried both chiropractic and physio to sort it but never managed to heal it, only improved to varying degrees from time to time. About three years ago it started to get really bad to the point that I would not use my right arm to do things if I could avoid it. I got to the point I could no longer lift my arm above my shoulder height and I also found that I was starting to have elbow problems as a result. I ended up with really band tendonitis in the elbow as well and day to day activities became quite frustrating. Anyway...... just over two months ago by some miracle my shoulder was cured of all pain. Somebody recommended me to a massage therapist and I was at the point I was willing to try anything, even surgery if that was the answer. I don't know what happened exactly, but I walked out of there with no shoulder pain at all. I figured it would be shortlived, but still I have no pain. My elbow also rapidly started to improve and now I have very little pain in that also. Truly a miracle. Now........ I have been trying to do some exercisies and weights over the last few weeks. I have seen some definate improvement and am pleased that finally I can actually work out again. I must admit that I am still very wary of my shoulder and that is simply a confidence issue that I will overcome but I don't want to go through any more years of that sort of pain. My issue now is that something I am doing is causing me a fair bit of neck pain. Like I am pinching a muscle or straining a muscle on the left side of my neck. So far all I am really doing is Bench Press, Bicep Curls, Shoulder Press, Crunches and I just started trying to do wide grip chin-ups and they are killing me. On alternative nights I go for a run. I know I need to alter the exercises I am doing (and get some leg work in there), but in the first stage I was trying to see if I would actually keep doing something. Also I am making sure to do stretches before I get started. So yeh, now I seem to be doing something to strain my neck. As for my shoulder...... still no issues. My elbow does experience some discomfort at times, but nothing like what it was before so I'm happy to push through that. :lolcry:

It's more about what I like the look of than anything else so world's apart is quite likely. As far as what motor anything runs I really don't care anymore. Not trying to lose my licence again any time soon. Nor am I trying to drag race the youth in their Skyline's if I have a car with all my family in it.

I applaud you Falken_KE30. I had one of these and I loved it. Underated excitement machine. :lovin: Personally I am with BlindKidSeeks. As far as a cool family car I reckon the Odyssey is a great choice. Loving the Mazda CX7's as well. No way would you get me into a Commo or Falcon and as for putting something on LPG..... are you joking me? I would rather cut out my own eyes. :lolcry:

Awesome...... I love this car.... it's the colour that gets me...... I really want the orange one thats for sale at the moment but it seems I can't have it. Too many cars and not enough room. :lolcry: Put some pics up of your boot install when you get it all sorted.
-
Whoa..... you crazy stalker.... :no2: hehe..... yeh you right though....... I guess you on Melburg or something...... Soto is currently for sale...... Sweet car too, but that 2002 is awesome. I love it.
-
nah, don't reckon I could sell it. Yeh it has changed a bit. He went for the barn find drag car look. Cool car, but reckon it will be for sale soon as it just doesn't get used due to him having other cool cruisers and now a new one in his cross-hairs

Showoff !!!!!!! Haha.... well at least you will be holding up the flag for the all the fallen and battle weary 11's and for me who was too late entering. Nah I will just be a passenger with one of my mates. That way I get to hang out the window the whole way up trying to steal snags off peoples barbie's. :jamie:

Did a late night Rundle Street cruise last night in my 11 behind almost a twin.... "ROL-010" white KE10 rollin 14's as well and venetian, but also with addition of fender mirrors. NICE! Real treat to the Hindley Street patrons. :jamie:

Jamaica??? No way! Welcome to RollaClub. Don't reckon there would be any other Jamaican's on here. I may be wrong.
-
I dunno but maybe it is worth going.... :P Oh but there will still be Silvia's

My hot tip if it is keep it original if it's as good as it looks. Maybe lower it slightly. Get another one in not as great condition down the track if you wanna do the whole sr20 thing. Just my opinion cos it's so rare to see a good condition original one these days. I like the weather shield too.

I turned my monitor on the side but now I can't read the text very easily. :P Your Kesev looks pretty neat tho

You are correct RA28GT. I used it on the Cortina for the photoshoot cos it looks better on that car. It is an evaporative cooler and you put ice or cold water in the top and as you drive along the air passes through into the cabin supposedly cooling you. Genuine after market accessory in the 1940's and 50's in USA. I only know of 3 in SA.... there may be a couple more now. I have one and my mate has one (shown in the pics on his DeSoto) and someone else has one on a led sled. I had two but sold one to a bloke in QLD who proceeded to smash it into a gatepost cos he got too close with the car and forgot it was on there. :osama: Cheers mate, they look better in pics than in the metal though. It was a great day really. The pics I posted on the previous page don't really do justice to the coolness factor of such a mix of non-perfect classic cars in the same place. The theme of the shoot was "Rat Pack" of Adelaide. We all wore suits trying to mimic the original rat pack of the 50's/60's (ie Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr etc etc). Can't wait to see the real pics in the magazine by someone who actually knows how to take photo's. Actually I might have a pic of the suit factor. Yeh I do. That's me in the first photo hanging onto the back of my Stout as if it's going to roll away.
-
I couldn't resist Yeh Stout is defo ugly. Overstyled indicators on top of the guards is what attracted me to it. As Raven mentioned the green one is my Mk1 Ford Cortina. First car I ever bought in fact. Full on Rat styling like the VW boys like to do in Europe.
-
Spotted my Rolla, my Stout and My Corty at a photoshoot yesterday for "Retro Cars", a British classic car magazine. Woohoo
-
Yeh thanks heaps lads. This is awesome stuff and greatly appreciated that you boys are taking the time to share your knowledge. Seems as though I asked on the right forum. :y: The mention of injuries is a concern to me as I am just coming out of a bad shoulder injury and tendonitis in the elbow as a result of that. The reason I am looking to get back into some weights is that both shoulder and elbow have really improved over the last 2 months after more than 2 years of great trouble. I guess its best to take it a bit easy initially.
-
Well done mate. You'd be happy as a pig in mud! I love that felling you get when you have a new car to cruise. Especially when it's super cool like this Crown-a-roo is
-
Bahahahahahahahaha You have a PM zeggawong. Don't tell nickyboy though cos that fool might come pop a cap in a brothers ass :y:
