  1. Never seen one of these Varietta's in the metal before. Only on the net. Seen S13 and S14 version before though. Not sure what I think of it. I like S15's generally.
  2. Be sure you do.... or there may be trouble! :blinks:
  3. Excellent. I'm excited...... BUT :(
  4. Hmmmm..... that really is interesting! I know the Cortina Capri Car Club are very relaxed about what they put on historic too. Almost has to be a drag car to not get a Mk1 Cortina or Escort on historic with them. It seems maybe SMASA are a bit over the top. I've just always accepted their way without too much thought of trying a different club. Good info!
  5. I'm hoping.... moreso assuming..... that there will be a designated thread with photo's from this journey you are to embark on. Awesome trip indeed!
  6. Bahahaha........ I'm tipping you don't own a KE10 or 20. Actually Robe is an awesome place. If you can get some cars together for a cruise to there would be great, but I don't think you will get the classic Corolla's along.
  7. Jeezuz...... it's 700 kilometres to Streaky Bay and that's if you happen to live in the CBD. If you live south of Adelaide it's even further. If you're planning on coming back again then I'm tipping approximately 16 hours of driving. Hell of a cruise idea. Good luck with that!
  8. Historic Rego is for stock classic cars, so you won't really find exceptions. They will photograph the car and engine bay at time of changing to historic and then check each year when renewing. A few of my cars are on historic with SMASA. My Stout is, but my Rolla is not.
  9. Yeh those anthills are crazy. I got a few pics of them last year when I went to darwin for a bit of a look around. They build them that way to minimise heat for themselves apparantly. I read a sign up there about it, but can't remember exactly.

KE26 Wags on North Tce just after 4pm on Friday. That aqua factory kinda colour. Fender mirrors and heaps of stickers on the back windows.
  11. If you're getting into Adelaide in Feb and staying in the CBD then you can have the best time ever! Right in the middle of Fringe. City is buzzing every single night in the East End and full of tourists and entertainment. Adelaide CBD also has some of the finest dining you will find in this country. One thing we do well here is food. Also you don't have to be a club or pub person....... there are wine bars and other styles of venues for getting together with friends for a drink (by drink I mean alcoholic or coffee or milkshake). I seem to meet a lot of international people here for varying lengths of time on holidays or student visas etc. Many of them come here by themselves and soon make friends and enjoy our lifestyle. One thing I hear a lot is how good our restaurants are and how spoiled for choice we are in such a small area like our CBD. We also have cool places to grab a coffee after wherever you choose to dine. Places like Elephant Walk or Spatz for example. Seriously, if you are staying in the CBD then stay there as long as you can. In Adelaide thats where everything happens. There are many great restaurants outside the CBD as well.... but not much else as far as nightly things to do. February, March and April are the greatest 3 months on our calendar in my opinion, so you are getting here at the right time.
  12. Jaysus, Maria and Yusef.......... that's gonna be something different. I like the colour and the wheels. Well played!
  13. Crikey....... your black car is freakin nice mate!
  14. Wow...... people have really smashed you for your choices. I say whatever makes you happy mate. It's your car. I personally like to see things kept fairly original, but I also think a bit of blingitty bling will look good on your car.

Yesterday (Sunday) at about 2:40pm Spotted a mustard KE3* or KE5* (I still can't tell the difference) 4 door on Sir Donald Bradman Drive close to West Terrace. Slammed, fender mirrors. Looked great!
  19. I had the PuraTap installed today. Couldn't be happier. The difference between that and tap water is incredible! No more lugging cartons of water home from the supermarket on my donkey. Heaps happy! Thanks to all those that gave feedback.
  20. Criminal. Someone should be locked up for that :P
  21. Jaysus!!!! I'd be happy to cruise any of the ones you consider "Spare Parts". Nice work! Always loved the shape of these cars and always rubber neck on the very rare occasion I see one.
  22. EspaƱa !!!!!!! Awesome win! So close to going to a penalty shootout. I'm glad it didn't. Very happy with this outcome :(
  23. Yep, Ken is correcto mundo. Sand and prime. I didn't prime. I sanded like a mofo though! I had a pretty good result but I certainly didn't take my time and do the prep I should have. I did about 8 - 10 coats and sanded in between each of course. Seriously..... read the whole thread from that Charger dude. There is every bit of information you could need on there. It takes ages to read but it is totally worth it and you learn HEAPS about painting.
  24. How good is this outcome............ Spain vs Netherlands in the World Cup Final. Go SPAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe Germany got put out. I really thought they would win. Great stuff.
