Ok, I think I've cracked this....... I'll give you all the run-down, tonight is the second night in a row that I've sat up and kept an eye on what's going on in the street all the way through to 4am, and I've already found something interesting....... Around 3am (2:45-3:15) a red van full of passengers pulls down the road reasonably slowly, does a U-bolt just after driving past my house and drives off again, this I can explain because I've been sitting at the computer with the blinds open, they see the light from the screen as they drive past and abort....... The thing giving them away is that the sliding door on the passenger side is wide open, easy out, easy in, easy getaway........ If anyone is free in the next few days, I'd like to organise a sting...... By that, I mean no lights, complete silence, a number of people on foot, and a chase car...... Wait for him/them to get out of the van, which they will do if they don't see any sign of life, rush him/them, and if they bail, chase them (at a safe distance) while contacting the local fuzz with the make, model, colour, rego and location of said ratbags....... I want to wait until at least one of them touches the car, because then there is firm evidence (fingerprints) on the car, and the perp in the van with the accomplices........ I need as much help on this as possible please, if anyone is free, contact me within the next few days so I can start arranging this.......

Suuuuuure, then while they're dazed, I'll go in for the kill with my trusty lightsaber........
-
Going on from the conversation I had today with Si and Daim, here is a quick pic (old) of a ghetto camber adjustment I made on ORB Mk I way back when, it really was only correct once per revolution, but that's better than never...... Tools used were (In order of importance) Lack of regard for the car Excessive speed Tree Siideways Looked good from this angle........ *note* The axels were fine........
-
Shame you can't make it Casey, I'm starting to organise quite the arsenal over here....... Corolla Security Tool #1  :y:
-
I have a feeling they may come back, tonight I'm holding a vigil, with the cops on speed dial a golf bat and a decent length of rope, I'll nail the prick yet....... Anyone up for games and a foot chase tonight? PM me.
-
Ok, I was miffed before, but now I'm PROPERLY PISSED OFF!!! The cheeky little f@$kers have done it again, this time they broke the passenger side lock, found nothing and tried to jimmy the ignition barrel...... I swear, if I get my hands on this (these) little bastard(s), I'm getting copious amounts of blood from him (them)....... Where is a good place to dump bodies?

How Many Tries Did It Take To Get Your Licence?
Toy-Yoda replied to chrisandliz's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
I got mine second try, on the first one they failed me for not checking my blind spots :y: BUT, after I pulled back into Service Tas, the testing officer told me if it wasn't for the blind spot thing, I would have passed even if I completely stuffed up the first section....... Worked for me........ To be fair though, it took me 11 attempts to get my L's due to me playing russian roulette with the answers over and over until I learned what buttons to push....... -
About the time for it, yeah, I think it is, there have been 4 break ins or attempted break ins in the last 2 months here........ And I know I got off easy, it's just annoying........ Funny thing is, I have a spare KE70 windscreen........
-
Yeah it was parked on the street, behind the hatch, kind of open area really...... <--Didn't even touch that one, and it has tools and parts and all in it. :) ;) I was thinking more of waiting at the upstairs window hidden in the darkness with my compound bow........ :) Or my 2 wood golf bat would do....... Anyone got an angry doberman or a rottweiler I can borrow? :S
-
Some twat broke into Tofu last night........ :S Fuxed the lock on the drivers side, but besides that, no damage....... The rat(s) took about $3 in silver shrapnel and a pack of ciggarettes that was 6 weeks old and had about 5 left in the pack....... They left 2 pairs of sunnies, and a pile of tools I had on the back seat, so I'm guessing it was kids....... I'm not fussed about what was taken, doesn't bother me, it's the fact that I've had this car on the road for 2 weeks since the conversion, and now I have to replace the locks because some cheap f@$k wanted some smokes........ :) It just pisses me off that some people (if you can call them that) feel they can mess up other peoples property for their own gain, it's disgusting. /end rant I think I just needed to vent somehow....... I feel better now. At least now I can try and sort out something ghetto for a security upgrade for rollas, if I'm successful I'll put up a How-to. Something to do I guess........

^^^^^^^ f@$king lol. I love it, I'll need to remember that for the next bbq we have up at the farm........ *Edit* Why didn't you use the exhaust tip for the bottle opener? It's about the right size when stock. :S
-
Dude, what kind of low-down-dirty-povo-rabies-infected-pond-scum-filth does it take to steal a KE70? :) That's absolutely horrible, I hope this car get's found alive and the f@$ker that nicked it gets what he deserves....... :S
-
In that case, I'll drop my 2c here. I don't actually know how much this weighed in at, but with 2 guys about my size (And I'm scrawny) we could lift the rear end clear off the ground with about a half tank of juice onboard by hand....... But please, for the sake of all things holy, leave your drivers side door on at least.......... But it was pretty quick when the going got rough......
-
Almost, my theory (I work in Ravenswood, Launceston) is, shoot the bogans on sight/smell. You can usually smell them coming before you see them........ :D Or when they open their front doors the house smells like they've been using their loungeroom as a giant bong......... Do they seriously think people can't smell it when they open the door of their car half a block away? I've had staff ask me if I've been smoking herbal medicine while on deliveries before, it's been that bad......... I hate bogans/dero's/dole bludgers/ravenswood.

7K and 5 speed, They're epic to drive......... (even with noisy wheel bearings) :D So much torque, it'll blow your mind........
-
Dammit dan, I said no 4AGE. :D Just to make it clear, is this going to be a streeter? Or you planning something more lofty for it?
-
That was a lovely way to kill a few minutes, very nice find. Correct me if I'm wrong though, but isn't power sliding kind of neccessary in rally circles? I imagine they may have been going a little slower if they wanted to grip their way around their little circuit. I could be wrong. I wish I had access to a big frozen lake......... :D

7shades: :hmm: that is all. love ke70: Bukkake = :D Trev: You don't seem to have fully grasped what the term "bang for buck" means. You mean to say that you can get hold of a running, clean and smooth 4AGE for the same sort of money any sane person would pay for a 4KC? If that's the case, I want to see where you shop for engines.......... Taz_Rx: I agree with the bang for buck statement whole-heartedly, but I think (personal opinion here) that 140 around bradys isn't a sign of a deathwish, 140 around bradys in the wet however, is simply a world of stupid. I've seen the fallout after a failed attempt at a similar stunt, and it wasn't pretty. TOM: I think you're onto something there........ Anyone think a "Quote of the year" competition is a good idea? *Ahem* On Topic. KE70 Pro's: Love the style, love the simplicity (If I can do an engine swap and Auto to Manual conversion, any monkey with a spanner can too), love the reliability, love having an excuse to drive in the rain due to lack of power to do proper skids in the dry. ;) KE70 cons: Trees, rocks bigger than my torso, 4 speed gearboxes (who thought only 4 gears would do?), cheese cutters, dry weather, open diff centers, and most importantly where'd all my power go? :)
-
Hermaphrodite? (4WD) That's funny as, what's next? Corollahenge? ;)
-
Yeah, and I rushed through the conversion for Tofu from auto to manual specifically for this cruise too...... ;) It had to happen eventually and I'm glad that I had the motivation to get it done as quick as I did, but I'm dissapointed that it's not going ahead....... Oh well, more time to set it up better. Skun knuckles ghetto backyard workshop FTW!

Anyone? What's happening with this?
-
I've done that! I hung a spotlight off the back of the drivers seat and ran it off an inverter....... That Pajero never knew it was coming...... :rocknroll: The moral of this story, ladies and gentlemen, is don't highbeam rolla's......... and don't fire spotlights out of your rear window, it's dangerous mmmmmkay?
-
Right, ummmm, is this settled? :y: Are we doing Sunday? Should just have Tofu up and going if the corolla gods are smiling on me tomorrow, so I'm game. Skids skids skids skids skids skids skids :rocknroll: me? excited? never. :jamie:
