And finally it comes to me, the new owner....... Si: It only got thrashed a little, really...... Didn't want to go too hard on it with the sheer amount of noise from that diff......... The sticker work is going to stay, because I love it, most of the dents are staying in it, except the new "modification" I did to the front drivers side quarter panel, I'll cut and mod it properly later on....... I'll open a new thread when work starts on the old girl, until then it stays stashed in the backyard with the battery out....... Keep eyes peeled guys. :bash: Yoda.

Mine would make just about anything look good really, they invented the word "rough" to describe cars like that one, I love it.......

That sucks, the only advice I can offer is a decent alarm, and maybe replacing the locks with something slightly different, from a different model........ Solex locks are known to be able to be opened using the master key from a different set, so they're not quite as secure as you're led to believe......... It does take a bit of a fluke to get a mismatched solex master key to open your lock, but it can happen........ In this order: 1: Alarm/immobliser 2: Big dog chained to car 3: Cricket bat (it's more australian than a baseball bat) Best of luck, hope the cops do their job and catch the bastards.......

Ok, I can probably make it, I've got everything lined up nice and tight, will be leaving Hobart around 2:30 all going well.......... To hell with the speed limit on the midlands, I'll get back to Launnie as quick as the rolla will carry me...... :) I vote Bradys lookout as the location, it's only 15 mins from town center, and on a clear day is an awesome view, plus there's a carpark that we can commandeer......... Yesterdays service for Josh was beautiful, a fitting send off for a life cut way too short, just the way he would have liked it IMO, not too flashy, minimal fuss, and an amazing turn out. The support for him was frankly unbelievable, made me proud to be the brother of someone who touched the lives of so many in his own special way........ I'm both relieved that it went as well as it did, and saddened by the realization that I won't see him again, but time will make it all easier to deal with and I thank you all for your support during this time, you've all been legends, and it means a lot to me. I know how you feel with the break in, it *** sucks........ But for the love of everything holy, don't get Solex locks........ They seem good until someone flukes their way through your "unpickable" locks using the master key from a different set........ Have a look at some late model Landcruiser locks, they have crazy keys and it's my understanding that they'll fit in a corolla's door. (I could be wrong) Good luck with it man.......

Right, found out tonight that my brothers funeral will be thursday, doesn't give me long to get everything together, but I'll make it work, it's only the little things now, the hardest of which is going through and picking out something that meant a lot to him so we can send it with him, it hits all the right nerves at the same time......... :) The parental units are taking this really hard, I'll have my work cut out for me on thursday....... Wish me luck guys........

Thanks everyone for your kind words, it means a lot....... Just got the initial coroners report, at this point he appears to have drowned, which seems odd to me as he's quite proficient at swimming........ Still waiting on the toxicology report though, that may reveal something else........ May be a while until we know all the details, or we may never know exactly what happened, either way, it still sucks epic balls that I have to bury my younger brother......... Thanks again guys........

Today my worst fears have come to light, at 8:00pm, 26/10/2008, I received a call to inform me that my brothers body was found this afternoon on the banks of the derwent river, cause of death and exact location as yet unknown to me. Thanks to all you guys for your support, I really appreciated it........ I'm shattered......... :D

Following Jip 01's advice and posting this in the Tassie section too........ My brother has gone missing, he was last seen by his housemate about 11pm Wednesday night when he (my brother) went to bed, so the guess is that he's been missing since Thursday morning........ At a guess, he left wearing green-brown (khaki almost) cargo trousers, t-shirt, and possibly his blue windcheater, and sneakers. He has his wallet on him, we know that much, but his phone was left in his bag (not uncommon), and he doesn't appear to have taken anything else with him. His name is Josh Curwen and he lives in Hobart, but could be anywhere at this point, this kind of behavior is completely odd for him, which is why we are very worried for him, hence my plea to you guys, please keep an eye out for him, and if you see him, please let me know ASAP. The police are involved with this case, and the missing persons unit will be contacting us tomorrow to give us an update, I'll update this post as information comes in......... This is the most recent picture I have of him, not the greatest pic, but it'll do...... Thanks for your time guys........
