  2. Ok, not quite Youtube, but it is video, and kinda humorous...... Hatchback go "brum brum"

  4. :lolcry: At least it's light? Once you pop....... Weight saving option?
  5. Sharpie art fail
  6. Re watching Top Gear episodes, great fun watching them get themselves into trouble......
  7. And in response, a video that isn't CG...... :lolcry: "field goal!" More Youtube crazies
  8. Spotted in Hobart: f@$k I lol'd
  9. They are very similar, but I think the mirror itself is a touch wider, I'll double check this tomorrow......
  10. Get to a fairly steep one on the old highway and it's 3rd gear, 2500Rp/m and about 60Kp/h.......Or second at 4500 if you're in a hurry :jamie: Gutless just got a whole new meaning...... I love it.
  11. Another trick is to hardwire the reverse lights to a switch on the dash so you can freak people out at 110Kp/h on the highway when they're sitting on your arse and you "grab reverse" For some reason they back off pretty smartly...... :jamie:
  12. Yes, yes they do. This interests me, will I be able to go up hills with this engine? :jamie: *edit* Just did the google, and it makes nearly 3 times the power of the current engine, I RIKEY!
  13. OK, so I just got this home from Hobart, was my brother's, Mum decided it would be better for it to be used rather than rust away to nothing in their backyard, so she gave it to me...... It's a 1981 G10 Daihatsu Charade, 1.3 liter 3 cylinder 5 speed 4 door hatch, very original, minor rust on passenger door front and rear, sizable dent in rear passenger door due to my brother smacking his fence a short while after buying it, easy enough to fix..... Rev happy little 3 pot seems healthy, nice golden oil, runs smooth enough (assuming I can start it, seems there's a knack I haven't found yet), gearbox has a nice smooth action, and it drives like a dream. Basic idea is to clean it up and use as a daily until the 20 is ready, then becomes the wife's car to learn in and use as she see's fit. (assuming I can get her to get her license) But awesome little car is awesome.
  14. ^^ That's what I told him
  15. The search button here is your friend, there is plenty of info on this site detailing 4K turbo setups, including a fair few pictures courtesy of Taz Rx, kgo.
  16. Nope, dead easy, just be sure you have a manual flywheel, clutch, manual gearbox and a set of fresh flywheel bolts, take you a day.(beer stops inclusive)
  17. One trick to make life a little easier is to undo the engine mount on the starter side and tilt the engine towards the drivers side of the car using an engine crane or if you are extremely careful, a jack underneath the engine....... By rights you should be able to get it out without doing that though, a stock manifold is relatively easy to get around, it's extractors that can be a royal pain in the arse.......
  18. As much as the overall design of the car is exciting and different, I can't see it being very user friendly in the form of vision and what looks like a complete lack of suspension travel, would likely make for a bumpy ride, overall I like it, about time BMW made something that actually looks good. I can never see the thing being built though...... :P
  19. I'll be doing the drive assuming I can get the time off work and can find the jerry can......
  20. Never wash your car with warm water kids......
  21. Well, shit. You certainly didn't screw about slapping this thing together...... Looks like it could be a right old giggle...... Top work. :)
  22. Hehe, gotta watch that accidental dori, can end badly if you're not 100% awake..... Wouldn't have been around the spring hill area by chance? And YAY for the car working properly! :)
  23. At least it was an easy(ish) kind of fix....... And of course it'll be reliable, but only after you have replaced every component in the car at least once. :P Did it deserve it?
  24. No doubt, you have a hell of a job ahead of you...... Best of luck with it, I'll be keeping an eye on this as I'm interested to watch this things progress......
  25. NAAAAAAWWWWW, bubby doen the dori........ KAWAII!! :P
