hey. I have a KE55 Coupe, KE20 2 Door Sedan and a TA22. My favorite would be the 55 coupe. Very light and good on fuel. but hard to find one without rust. I paid 300 for my TA22 and it is riddles with rust and missing parts, runs like a pig. but parts are obtainable at Toymods.com. The best place for TA22 parts that i know of. The KE20 is the lightest at around 820 kg. The KE55 Is around 850 - 900 kg. The TA22 is around 920 - 980 kg. KE20 1200cc, KE55 1300cc, TA22 1600cc. Because of the different engine displacement and power, the power to weight ratio would probably be around the same for KE20, KE55 and TA22. As for handling it really depends on how new or old the suspension set-up is. The TA22 Rear end is better, but whats to stop you fitting the rear to a KE55. Cheers Werty

I have narrowed it down to 1973, by comparing chassis numbers to other KE20. I know its before 11/73, but I'm guessing its 10/73 because the Chassis number is only 9,500 earlier than a KE20 made in November 1973. its really just a guess from here as to whether or not AMI were making up to or in excess off 10,000 cars a month. Hey I need to know what year the 2 speed auto (toyoglide) was last put in a KE20 SE 2 door sedan when new? if anyone knows or might know please let me know what you think. i bought a KE20 SE 2 speed auto but i don't know what year its is for sure, it has no compliance plates and no way of knowing what year it was made. Thanks Tally. You got the right idea about me. I honestly can't stand to see a Corolla turn to rust because someone has had enough of it, or can't be bothered doing the work. So they just throw it away like junk. I'm funny when it comes to cars. I'm not the only one of course, but i have a great deal of care for my cars, like my family and friends and pets, my cars are almost as important. LOL i like to think if my car were alive, how would it feel to be owned for 30 years by one person and then SOLD, given away or Crushed. I know i wouldn't like it hahaha although its all fun to laugh at people when they purchase a car that personally you would rather have wiped from existence, or destroyed. But when it comes down to each individual taste you should realise that we all have the same quality in us that is essential to any person involved with cars or anything ambition in life for that matter and that is Passion. The car has not been written off before. From what i have found out it is not hard to get this car back on the road. It still has Number Plates and came into UPI as a registered vehicle. So it is possible for me to register the car immediately after final payment and drive it home. All though it is not road worthy at least i can still have it registered under my name, there for it no longer becomes an issue to me how long it takes to get the car ready to go to Regency and earn new compliance plates, because the car will not be on the road untill such time that it is road worthy and has proof. am paying $990 for it. I'm not bothered about the rust or damage or the stupid graffiti on the head lining. I'm good at all the restoration part, the KE20 aint as bad as it could have been. so i'm not that bothered about the price. I just thought i might strike lucky for the "plates" on here anyone get anymore info please let me know. Cheers Werty_1987

I'm looking for the previous owner of the orange KE20 2 door at U-Pull-It Elizabeth. The reason being is, that I have baught the KE20 from U-Pull-It. But the the "Compliance plates' for the vehicle have been removed, before sold to U-Pull-It. If the former owner of the KE20 is on Rollaclub could you "please PM" me to let me know if the "Compliance Plates" are in your possession or if you know where or who has them. YEAH THAT WAS "WHOTEVA". that car is now dead. defected for rust in the body. i suspect the shell and parts will be for sale soon too. fingers crossed!!
