  1. Well...I had a crack at wireing up my alarm to the locks but i blew a fuse on the wire from the alarm to the locks so i stoped and think i will wait till i can get it put in by a pro.
  2. So if the neg wire produces a voltage its a neg locking unit? I wont have a chance till late 2night if any. maybe i'll have to have a go tomorrow.
  3. ok. I'll do that tomorrow when my friend brings my multi meter back. cheers. I'll prob be back with more issues later. :hmm:
  4. I do own one. how can i use it to find out what? what will I need to do with the multimeter to find out if its a pos or neg locking unit? Thanks. any more info is wecome.
  5. I'm using the stadard locks and they are not opend with a remote, but have central locking The installation manual gives you 5 lock options and the one that is for my car says 4. If the car has already eqipped with central door lock, there is a switch near the instrument panel in the drivers cab to controle the other doors. Test the activate mode: positive or negative trigger, and then connect the wires according to the circuit diagrams. Then it gives 5 diagrams for the 5 options. They all have this as the main part that is the same in all 5 diagrams: NC ._____>>____Orange COM \.____>>____White NO ._____>>____Yellow NC ._____>>____Orange/black COM \.____>>____White/Black NO ._____>>____Yellow/Black The Colours are the wires coming from the control unit of the alarm, and the NC, COM,& NO are at the locking unit of the car. Does any bdy know what the NC, COM, & NO are? On the 2 diagrams that are for Neg or Pos trigger type they have put a pair of scissors at the end of the orange and orange/black wires. Does that mean i don't need to wire these ones up? The White has (to lock) and the White/Black (to unlock) at the ends of them. The yellow and yellow/black on the NEG diagram wires link together to a ground and in the diagram for the POS they link to the +12v. I will try and scan the page later and upload it. its being a real pain. I hope all this crap could help someone help me. Thanks
  6. Bump!!... Come on guys one of you's must have some clue!!!
  7. Hi, I got me a alarm kit today and i was planning on installing it myself. I was wondering if anyone has done this in a AE92 or knows what to do? Some of the things i need help with is where i need to mount all the components, What type of door lock unit i have (Pos+ or Neg-), any other help or photos would be great. even drawings in paint . Its a Csi AE92 with standard central locking. its a "steel mate" brand of alarm if that helps. its got these cool pager keyring things. so any help would be great. thanks guys! It has a Sh*t load of wires and the little book isnt much help.
  8. yeah i was going to get a half cut from a jap importer. i have a fair bit of mechanical skils and know how. i think i'd do most if the work myself and see if i could do it all myself. and any questions i have i'm sure i could get answered on a forum.
  9. the 2 tacho's is for when i get my 20v that will rev higher than what my normal tacho goes. so.... and i don't have much money. rims will some in the future as will a 20v
  10. Hmm...that sounds good. i would love to run about 10 psi with cooler. it would be a nice bit of power gain. would i have to get anything done to the computer? can the standard ecu be modded?
  11. hey guys, I'm Matt. I have just moved to Lonnie and have had my rolla for around 2 years. i brought it stock and all that has been done has been done by me. hey just thought i'd post up my rolla. Its a 94 Csi with cold air intake (Prob more of a hot air intake ATM) , Cannon muffler, 5" Tacho, Pioneer HU, Alpine 700w monoblock amp, Clarion 12" 1000w sub 2 ohm in custom Ae-92 hatch box. Thats about it. The sound sys put out 132.7DB at the last USA day in launceston, and came 4th in its class. I broke a voice coil in my pioneer 12" 1000w 2ohm later that week, so now i have the clarion that i havn't had DB tested yet. I have just moved to Launceston TAS, The local tas boys might have seen da rolla out and about. Now for some pics of it. And just a PhotoChop i did of my rolla. If you have seen it around please tell me, tell me what you like if anything about it.

  13. Well i was thinking of getting a custom turbo manafold made for a small turbo from a turbo ford courior or something. not aheap of boost but boost still. and maybe it would last till i have money for my 20v swap. I want to use a silver 20v coz they look really good and have a good amount of power. i would prob leave the 20v standard, apart from exhaust and cold air intake, we'll have to wait and see. I might get a bit power hungry.
  14. I would love to put a 4age 20v in my Ae92 but i was thinking for now i might just mod my 4afe. i was thinking of cams and clutch, what would be good bang for buck? trying to stay NA. but would love to go turbo if a cheap way is good.
