Nah not much else i'll do to it. I'd put venetians in it if you could buy them. I'll put a new exhaust on it too cos the one thats on it is pretty rude. Maybe front discs too. just gunna cruise it for a while.

Just bought a overrated as Ke26, all original except for Ke55 5spd and mazda 13's. As soon as its in my name (any day now) i'll put a set of crown hubcaps and whitewalls, a visor and then dump it.

Yeah the car moves, feells like the diff is bouncing (axle tramp). The gearbox mount seemed fine when i was under there pulling the tailshaft out, but i'll have a good look at it, along with the engine mounts. Might just change the clutch too and see if the problem remains. Thanks for the help guys.

When i take off in first or reverse in low revs the whole driveline shudders, but if i rev the shit out of it to take off it doesn't do it. I just replaced both tailshaft uni's but now i'm thinking it might be the clutch. Has anyone experienced this before?

As soon as i transfer the rego in my name, its getting dumped, with a set of 14'z with whitewalls and crown hubcaps. One question tho, it has a mph speedo, and i've found a kph one. To swap them do i need the speedo drive outta the other car or can i use the one i've got?. I'll put pics up after the weekend.

I'm only repeating what scotty(ke355) told me, cos he was contemplating doing an ls1 conversion for his new project. I tend to believe him actually. On the subject of ke355, the guy in qld who bought it apparently got it registered to drive on the street, not sure if that means he got it engineered or not....

Or an ls1, they're lighter than an sr20.

Put a supercharged merlin engine from a ww2 fighter plane in it. That'd be sik. No tailshaft needed :P .

Just to clarify, ke355 is 60k worth of car and is not engineered. He only drives it on the street cos he's a mad prick and cos he can. But it serves my point, as a holden v8 is a slightly wider engine than a 350 you'll have no probs getting it to fit. firewall and trans tunnel mods required.

A 350 would fit better than a 308, and the head will be nowhere near the booster. It would be pointless trying to fit a trimatic, different bolt pattern and weak as piss compared to a powerglide. But yeah you will never get it engineered regardless.

Seeing as though your in vic and you'll be struggling to get it engineered, why not spend a bit of extra cash and put an injected 5ltr in it? You could get one in with very little firewall mods, providing you use a trimatic. It would be just as un-engineerable. If you want it legal go turbo 4. Just my 2 cents.

Been there done that. Put a turbo 4 in it man, Go heaps faster and easy to get legal.

v6's are a shit motor but tonnes of fun in a rolla. This thing is gunna be a weapon.

Hi fellas, just curious as to the difficulty in swapping a flat front ke70 to a slant front. I just found out that a ke70 i bought 4 years ago for its 5 speed is still sitting where i left it so i'm gunna bring it home and fix it up. Cheers.

Depends on if your 30 is auto to begin with. I've heard there's a slight difference in size but i don't know for sure, as i started with an auto one. If your car is auto then it will fit with minimum of fuss, it will just need a little persuasion with a hammer :jamie: .
